This is a brunch review. Came on a Saturday @ noon. The place was dead - that should have been our first clue. We ordered the eggs benny and the breakfast croissant. The hollandaise was kinda funky a little tangy and not in a good way. Boring hash browns, boring cheddar cheese grits, the sandwich was ok I had to cover it with cholula. Overall just extremely mediocre food. Nothing special.

We hit the Ale House on Monday afternoon for a late lunch. Friendly service, very comfortable and unhurried experience. Its basically a really nice bar: exhaustive beer and wine lists, lots of local talent on show. Stick with bar food: great burgers, find somewhere else for Ahi. Mac and cheese is truly remarkable.
This place is ideally situated for outdoor dining with a view, and is a short walk across Highland Bridge to the heart of town. Definitely stop by.

Jared our server was a pro knew his menu very well, atmosphere was great and inviting. Food for the most part was on point the artichoke dip and hatch pork green chili I would avoid, burgers and sandwich are worth the money but will be coming back.

Favorite place for dinner in Denver! They have a great selection of Beer, it's always hard to decide which to order! My wife and I have had a different thing on the menu every time, aside from the fried brownie dessert, and everything, especially that brownie, is excellent. Great customer service to boot.

The location is awesome but I can t say that about the food. We had a business meeting and none of us were impressed. Had a veggie salad which tasted like a fast food chain. House wine was horrible. None of my partners enjoyed their meals either. Dry steak. Won t be coming back. The staff was very nice though.

I had a turkey burger here last night that was served totally raw. I don t mean undercooked, I mean raw just slightly browned on the outside. Unfortunately, because the burger had cheese, lettuce, asparagus, etc. I didn t notice that the turkey was uncooked until I had eaten half of it. When I showed it to the server she seemed rather shocked and immediately refunded my money. Fortunately, no sign of food borne illness yet, but it s only been 12 hours. We ll see.

To preface this review, this was a take out order ...

To preface this review, this was a take out order on a Monday night. We called at 6:00pm asking for the order to be ready at 6:40pm. Upon arrival to the restaurant at 6:41pm, the hostess said they are just finishing up. I waiting until 6:55pm when I asked how it was going. The hostess responded that it was going well and apparently the order was big (three salads and a sandwich) so it was taking longer. Finally at 7:07pm I got my food (that's right, 27 minutes after I showed - 1hr and 7min after I called in).

I suspect what happened was that she forgot to put it in, or someone there didn't think we were coming and told her not to put it in (which if that was the case, take a CC on the phone to guarantee). The hostess was most certainly out to lunch and was not communicating anything.

Food was good, service (THE HOSTESS and Management) was bad! Really could have been a good experience if she just communicated and got the good out on time.

Not really a fan. Overpriced for what you get in terms of service and quality of food.

Basically, Ale House can be compared to Applebee's or Chili's (albeit with more beers on tap) with a 50 percent higher price tag. Same quality and experience on just about everything else though.

Was out and about one day and this please was very hip, fancy looking, but with a down to earth menu, and a few modern twists. Could not have been any happier with our expirence. Cocktails were amazing, apps were and my bbq burger was maybe the best I've ever had. Don't even think about it, TRY THIS PLACE!!! ps I'm from a diff state, this was a shot in the dark lunch

Excellent beer selection, they have many Colorado brews, domestics, and a few imports to chose from. The food is delicious as well the burgers are awesome with duck bacons, sounds odd but it tastes great! Only downside is this place is popular, so it can get crowded and parking in the area can be hard to find.

First off, the red wine sangria is to die for. They had a large selection of drinks, but my friend and I decided to split a carafe and were not disappointed! The menu had a lot of interesting choices. I had a hard time picking what to order. I settled on their main burger (can't think of the name) with duck bacon and goat cheese. I loved the goat cheese, but not so much the duck bacon. We had cheesecake for desert, which was just ok. Service was great and I loved the location. Overall a solid choice.

The beer list here is great, and the view is not bad either! However, we were given the wrong seasonal beer list, and the beers we ordered were no longer available. I was impressed by the appetizers, they were tasty and presented very well. But, the entrees were incredibly disappointing comparatively: just not great quality and taste. Additionally, our service was incredibly slow, slightly rude, and just overall awkward and unwelcoming. We went here for a celebration, and the food and environment did not help us keep a happy celebratory mood. I had very high hopes, but sadly would not recommend.

We have been to Ale House several times before and it was great, so when we had family in town it seemed like a good option for us. We went on Sunday for brunch with a party of 5 and were told a table near the bar was available. This was completely impractical as the chairs were tall and my three old daughter was with us. We were then seated at a table for 4 with a high chair crammed in the corner. A booth became available so we asked to move to a table that better accommodated us. We could hear the staff whispering about us. All of this was so frustrating, if they just would have sat us at a more appropriate table from the beginning it would have been fine. When the food came the salad was completely soggy and drowning in dressing and my daughter s eggs were undercooked and didn t come with toast. When the toast came out one piece was burned black and they obviously tried to cover it with another piece. For a $60 brunch for three of us in the party, it was completely disappointing and I can t say that we will ever be back or recommend Ale House to anyone.

Bang for buck is fair for the area. The food it really good and the variety is perfect. Well cooked fries and sweet potato fries (why is it so hard for other restaurants?!) and the Dip I had. The staff was quick and friendly from servers, hosts and bartenders.

Great selection and spread of brews and cocktails.

Another great venue for Denver.

Celebrated a birthday there yesterday. Our server Jared was great and made for an enjoyable experience. The Lohi Cuban sammy was BIG and delicious. The dessert churros with a candle was a nice ending. Try the outdoor seating for people watching.

Great variety of beers, one for every taste! The reason I'm reviewing at all is for thier staff, I have never met a cooler waitstaff, as a whole and thier customer service training took our experience to a whole new level. Any and all requests were handled with huge smiles and great attitudes, even if they weren't "our server"...we weren't the easiest bunch of hooligans to deal with, wanting samples, root beer floats, and having our party arrive one at a time... thank you for making this experience great from start to finish!

I am torn between 3-4 stars. The rooftop Patton really makes it a winner. The food is average bar fare and the people watching is above average. Great bar spot - but it is that, a bar spot

Love the atmosphere. Food is always fast and hot, although I still have yet to find my favorite dish. Prices are reasonable. Sometimes extremely busy and other times it s dead. So I will always stick the reservation route.

Nachos with Carnitas. There was about a pound of pork on a mountain of queso coated corn chips. They didn't need a picture, they needed to get 8n my belly!Great local beer and a waiter that knows (and is excited about) beer. Go here and relax, sit outside and enjoy yourself. They make it easy.

Following the aquarium, headed to the Ale House. This was a sumptuous meal. Had hamburgers, chicken buffalo sandwich and the guacamole chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Waiting staff has been very good. Setting had been very clean. Had floor to ceiling windows open to bring extra air to the restaurant. Will surely come back here!

As I started eating my salad today I noticed a large bug in my spinach leaves, it appeared dead but had been clearly munching on the leaf it was attached to, I waved over the waitress to let her know and she took it back to show the chef and get me a new salad. After she brought me the new one and I had the chance to start munching she passed by and asked "any more buggies so far?" and giggled. Well you might think a bug in your $20 salad is funny but I didn't. Then I had to pay for said salad. Not my favorite place anymore!

My husband and I have been regulars here for several years, even back before we started dating, and we just grow to love it more and more. The food is impeccable, the staff is awesome (hey Vinny!), and the views are breathtaking. You can't go wrong with their beer and wine lists, the specialty drinks are delicious too. And I love that the menu is rotating, so you never get bored. We try new things whenever we go, and I could honestly recommend anything off their menus, you'll be satisfied lol so highly recommend!! We will keep going here and sitting in "our" booth until they close this place!!

Sat down right at the beginning of happy hour. Enjoyed a few drinks and some happy hour food. The food was exceptional and the beers delicious, but the service left a little something to be desired. At the beginning of my visit, it seemed as though I had to fight for the bartender's attention, whereas at the end of my visit, I was asked every several minutes if I needed something. It might have been due to the fact that in the beginning there was a single Bartender and by the end of my shift there were four, so I'm willing to give a little leeway in my rating. Overall, I am satisfied with my visit and would be willing to return again in the future :)

Beer was good, food was delicious. Service was overly attentive to the point of being a bit stressful. The check was put on the table while I was still eating my burger. That's the only thing I can really fault the place on.

Arrived solo around 5:30 on a warm, cloudy Friday evening and sat at the bar. The ambiance was welcoming with calming music and baseball games on TV.

The beer menu had Belgian, Sours, Cider Nitro and Gluten Free Beer and Mead & Kombucha categories. I went with the Platt Park Madagascar Dream ($7-8, Denver, CO) and Ninkasi Oatis ($7-8, Eugene, OR) which I both enjoyed.

I ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf ($17), which the bartender confirmed was an awesome choice, and it absolutely delivered compared to other meatloaf I've had. Also loved the presentation, which had delicious mashed potatoes and asparagus as well.

The staff was cordial and attentive, while also being interesting to talk to. One of the girls, Emma, had a tattoo of Mike Jones' infamous phone number, to give an example. She was also a delight.

Overall the place is a nice low key dinner or drinks spot, a place I'd go to likely kick off a night or keep it easy going.

I love this place. Gear atmosphere, great beer selection, gratis food. There is some free parking around (which is difficult to find in the Highlands area). Prices are reasonable, and I've never had a bad experience here. I usually meet clients and business partners here since it's close to the highway, it's a great way to impress, and it won't break the bank. The rooftop patio is just amazing in the summer and winter (there are heat lamps). There is a nice view of Denver, and it's a great social atmosphere. You can't go wrong with the Ale House.

Only had wonderful experiences here, had an exceptionally nice black haired waitress wait on my boyfriend, family, and i. She was very sweet and patient considering we had two indecisive children that were difficult, also suggested great selections. Food was delicious but the salad could have had a few extra pieces of protein considering its was $16. Drinks were really good and reasonably priced at happy hour. Music was a tad boring but everyone seemed to be having a fun time. Definitely will be coming back soon.

The food is good - but you should go more for the atmosphere. Good vibes and the rooftop deck is great, especially the round tables with the bonfire pits if you can get one. The view of the skyline is beautiful and the drinks are good. Get a Moscow mule here - delicious! Brunch is good too.

Cool, laid back atmosphere with a comprehensive food and drink menu. Service was very good and the food was solid. Prices on the higher side for food that was good but not amazing. Great location to see a different area of Denver. Would recommend coming here and exploring the area around the restaurant.

Good pricing for solid food. There's really nothing bad on the menu! However, the service has been subpar on 2/2 occasions we visited the restaurant. Last time, (3 days ago) our server failed to bring plates for appetizers, attend to waters, and was less than knowledgeable about the beer list. We will still come back for the food, but my overall rating is average due to service.
