Edit for the owners response: I understand limited capacity due to covid; however, the couple before us was taken to a table immediately. The host then never returned to greet us.
We weren't offered the option to order takeout. The female bartender basically shooed us out the door after the other couple was taken upstairs, no discussion. I too work as a bartender/server. This isn't the way to treat a patron.

Great food and drink! Went there for lunch with some friends and we all enjoyed ourselves. Service was top notch, as well! P.S. the banana bread pudding is DIVINE! Had a Meister Mule...who knew Jaeger is delish with ginger beer!! Yum!

Almost didn't come because of some of the negative reviews but sure glad we did! Awesome beer selection & interesting food menu. The green chili & eggs brunch is great, so many flavors.

The rooftop deck is absolutely awesome, great view of downtown Denver on one side with mountains on the other. I would highly recommend this place to any craft beer enthusiast who loves good food.

Ale House has a great selection of craft beers and we had a great time tasting and drinking different kinds of beer. I love that there is a big emphasis on imperial stout drinks here which was great for a stout lover like me. They even have a Rock Mountain Oyster Stout which wasn't as bad as you would think. The food here is pretty good and the happy hour deals are pretty nice! The only problem we had was our waiter, who was fast and attentive, seemed to be getting annoyed by how many drinks we were ordering. This is a bar right? We want to try out different drinks, so don't get offended when your customers are buying a lot of drinks in taster cups. Overall, I enjoyed it here and would recommend.

Service: A well trained Robot could be more personal than any of the staff I engaged with, which may be part of the sterile "Denny's" like atmosphere that is created at this place.
Food: While the portions were filling, and the menu creative there are a number of establishment in Denver that afford the same opportunity at a budge of about $3-5 less per meal than the Ale House.
Beer: Hey its an Ale house! Well mostly. The beer selection here would be Great if it were anywhere other than Denver being that most of the beers are from Denver, and to be exact from Breckenridge Brewery. Out of Town'ers will enjoy the selection otherwise there are a number of other places to go.

It was quite relaxing, I ate dinner a light salmon salad. I had a couple of beers, which were refreshing, then I retired upstairs to the balcony for the rest of my evening. There was music playing, a fresh new sound from a band called The Wrong Tones!!! They sounded absolutely fantastic! I will look for them in the future so I can hear them again!

My husband and I have been regulars here for several years, even back before we started dating, and we just grow to love it more and more. The food is impeccable, the staff is awesome (hey Vinny!), and the views are breathtaking. You can't go wrong with their beer and wine lists, the specialty drinks are delicious too. And I love that the menu is rotating, so you never get bored. We try new things whenever we go, and I could honestly recommend anything off their menus, you'll be satisfied lol so highly recommend!! We will keep going here and sitting in "our" booth until they close this place!!

Good drinks and views with decent food that's on the more expensive side. Service was sporadic at best and was pretty poor whenever we roped in a server to our table. Music is also weirdly loud for the setting.

Really love going to this place for summertime meals on the rooftop deck or the outdoor patio that overlooks downtown Denver. I've come here numerous times and the food has always been fantastic. The service is typically good, but I would definitely recommend that you make reservations on yelp if you are going at peak hours, like Friday nights or during events. Food and drinks are mid-range as far as price. I would specifically recommend the Greek salad and the burgers, those have always been great every time I go.

Yummy food, fun cocktails and great atmosphere.
The ale and cheddar soup was scrumptious with the right amount of spicy kick on the back end. The dip made with prime rib and caramelized onions was nice change up from Southern french dip poboy. Chicken burger was juicy and flavorful.
Worth a stop for a meal while visiting Denver.

No longer breckinridge brewery but great beer selection and fabulous food fpr the price. We had the tuna tartar, fish tacos and asian tuna salad. All were spot on delicious. One person in our group got a hamburger but this is definitely not your standard brewpub fare. Skip the burger and order something more adventurous. Chances are you won't regret it.

Great food, great drinks, nice atmosphere and the best proportions I ve ever seen it s like they need to raise the price. It s a nice place to go with friends or after a day down town. Will come again

Just a generally average experience. Food was pretty expensive for the flavors that were delivered. We ordered the poke and only ate a bite, was extremely sour and not appetizing whatsoever.

The burger and buffalo chicken sandwich were decent for the price mark.

We also ordered the special coffee drink, and weren't told there was no whipped cream.

Again, just a generally average experience.

Great food, live music, friendly staff, and a fun environment. Would definitely recommend. They have an entire inside bar section with seating as well as a fancier dining area which is in a separate section of the restaurant. Tons of beer on tap. Must visit!

Service is friendly, plenty of beer on draft, great food! If they have them available, order the salmon fish and chips - they are amazing! Burgers are really solid. Great place to hang with friends!

I really like the design of the building, with the huge windows that slide open like doors so you get this inside/outside vibe. The fish and chips were good and the ahi tuna sandwich was tasty, but was way too saucy. The sweet potato tots were mushy. When I think 'tots' I think crunchy and at least slightly chewy, not mush. Also, you won't find a beer on the menu for under $6.00 and there were only a few at that price point. I most likely won't eat here again, considering there are so many other options in Denver.

Attentive staff, good happy hour deals, tasty food at reasonable prices.

Bar area can be a little crowded and seating is a bit tight and hard to get in and out of when the bar is busy.

Delicious food, and great roof top views and set up! However, be warned, it is not exactly heated as advertised. There are only two heaters, and they re on one side of the patio. The tables on the other side have no heaters, so bundle up just in case! Also, service was terrible. Waited forever to be brought waters and order drinks. Then the server lost our food tickets, didn t realize it until we had been waiting for a full hour, then had to wait 25 more minutes after that for food to be prepared. Manager was super nice about it and did give us some bit of a discount, but the server was so rude and never apologized for anything.

This place was great: food, service, selection. It's a beautiful little place perfect for drinks, eating, and/or watching sports (in the bar area). I tried the pb+j burger and it was shockingly delicious. I definitely recommend

Five of us met here for an interview lunch. It was a beautiful day, and they had the large windows open in the main dining room. We had a large table, which our waitress pulled away from the window to get out of the sun. I had the arugula and grilled peach salad with haystack mountain goat cheese, orange segments, strawberries, candied almonds, and apple cider mustard vinaigrette. It was wonderful! Highly recommend it. Several others had the cobb salad, which looked good too.

However, our server was lazy and inattentive to lultipmuof his rablws, just not ours.

We opted to do a flight of local beers along with some apps. Food was adequate, local beers were quite tasty. Unfortunately we found ourselves hastily leaving when the evening music turned on and we could no longer hear any conversation at our table. It was rather unpleasant and put a damper on our evening.

Went for lunch on a 75 degree February day! Amazing rooftop patio with views of Denver, BBQ bacon bison burger and spicy Hawaiian wyagu beef burger were perfect compliments to the local beers! 5 stars

If the afternoon finds me in Denver, I start off at Metropolis Coffee and then a few doors down I stop for Happy hour before heading home. Love the bar where I can continue to work. Good happy hour specials. They have a few gluten free and vegan options on the regular menu.

The location is awesome but I can t say that about the food. We had a business meeting and none of us were impressed. Had a veggie salad which tasted like a fast food chain. House wine was horrible. None of my partners enjoyed their meals either. Dry steak. Won t be coming back. The staff was very nice though.

First they got my order wrong, then when they came with the correct order, it had a hair in it and the servers had a attitude as if I was doing it on purpose. Don t come here unless you want bland food and rude customer service

This place is our favorite, we have been coming here for years. The tap selection is eclectic and always radical, each plate we order startles us in some pleasant way, and somehow Jared is always our waiter-- he is magical and excellent and several other fine adjectives.

Other than the view this place is not that great. Every beer ordered was flat, the nachos hardly had any queso and guacamole wasn't fresh. The worst part was the buffalo chicken sandwich that was drenched in buffalo sauce. Even though I tried to scrape most of the buffalo sauce off the chicken, it still overpowered every single flavor. Shame to the kitchen.
