Jadelle referred me to Vitaly in sales. I live on an island, 250 miles away from the dealership so purchasing via FaceTime was the first for me. Within an hour I started the process of purchasing my brand new Trax. Documents were sent the very next day via Alaska Air Goldstreak, I signed them and returned the next day. This first FaceTime shopping experience from start to finish was fast, easy and effortless. Thank you Jadelle, Vitaly and sales team!!!

Alaska sales takes no responsibility for damages to your vehicle when it s in their shop! Their tire machine apparently can NOT damage a rim. If you do have damage to your rim after a tire change over. It s because you hit a curb or ran over a pothole. Always check to make sure your wheel lock is returned to your vehicle and also make sure they put the tire air cap back on your tires. If those are missing, it s your fault as well.

Update: I finally received reimbursement for my ex...

Update: I finally received reimbursement for my expenses. Thankful that they kept their word.

-------------------------

My car had an appt at A.S.S. on April 17 to have the timing chain replaced as well as some basic maintenance done. I dropped my vehicle off on time and was told my car should be ready by the end of the week. I rented a car for that week. I'm a single mom with 3 children and have to have transportation for appts, etc.

I had to call A.S.S. on Friday (April 20) because no one called me and the rental was due back. I was assured my car would be ready Monday (April 23) so I kept the rental over the weekend in anticipation that my car would be finished on Monday. I returned the rental and I had the rental place give me a ride to A.S.S.

When I got to A.S.S., I was not happy to find out that my car hadn't been touched the entire time it had been there... which was 7 days at this point. I tried to be understanding. They offered me a shuttle home because I didn't have any more money for a rental.

On Thursday (April 26), A.S.S. called me and told me they'd have to order some additional parts to complete the repair. I was willing to pay the extra to have the part sent overnight. I understood that the part wouldn't arrive until Monday (April 30).

On Wednesday (May 2), I called to check on my car again since I had no updates from A.S.S. The woman I spoke with informed me that the person working on my vehicle had gone home early (it was barely after 12 pm when I called). At this point, my car had been there for 15 days. I had rent to pay, we were running out of food because I couldn't go grocery shopping, I had to reschedule 2 doctor appts, and my son had a surgical procedure scheduled for Friday (May 4) that I had no way to get him to. I called a mgr at A.S.S. and left him a message stating this. A.S.S. called me back assuring me that my car would be finished on Friday (May 4) no matter what. They also offered to pay for a rental starting on Thursday so I could take my son to his appt on Friday and get my rent paid.

Day 18: I was at the doctor with my son when A.S.S. called to tell me my car was finished. After we were done there, I drove my son directly home so he could rest and went to drop off the rental. The rental place told me I'd had the vehicle longer than A.S.S. authorized. They gave me a ride to A.S.S. and I asked a female service adviser about this. She rolled her eyes and told me don't worry about it and that it'll be taken care of. My service adviser was annoyed with me as well. I brought it up to him and he also told me not to worry about it and that it'd be taken care of.

Unaccompanied, I paid the $4090 repair bill and went out to find my car. Normally, the service advisers walk you to the cashier but not this time.

When I went to get my car from the parking lot, it was filthy. It was absolutely covered in bird poop and dirt. I have never been to a car dealer where they give you car back dirtier than it was when you dropped it off.

As of today, May 14, the charges for the rental are still posted on my bank account. I called A.S.S. on Friday (May 11) and left a message with "my" service adviser about these charges that I was assured would be taken care of. At this point, A.S.S. has not called me back and I'm left paying out of pocket for something they offered to pay for since my car had been there so long.

I was never rude to any employee at A.S.S. I tried to be understanding and polite and I ended up without a car for nearly 3 weeks. I imagine it would've been longer if I hadn't called a manager.

My car was returned to me absolutely filthy, I'm stuck paying for a rental that was their idea in the first place and that they offered to pay for, I was charged twice for the oil and coolant ($61.54).

If I could give them zero stars I would.

Busy professional trying to buy a 60k truck... I send a polite inquiry making a offer that is aggressive but doable on the last day of the month. After waiting 2 hours for Anne Kuhl to get her managers approval she sends me an email response that says "thanks you for your offer, but we cannot meet your offer. Wishing you all the best" Anne Kuhl Alaska Sales and Service. Really? What can you do? Is this Sales and Service or burger King? I'm in Sales, and this is an embarrassment. What about a counter offer or an invitation to come in? Is the dealership mentality all the money or nothing? Discouraging to say the least! I could understand if I had horrible credit, or asking for something unreasonable. I've since asked for her managers info. Why is it hard to make a quick, no hassle deal the last day of the month. I even promised a perfect survey. I need a sales professional.

Beware: These guys sabotage used cars in hopes of forcing you to buy a new one. I came in for a tune up and oil change since they took on the Saturn maintenance contract, the next time I brought it to my regular oil change guy he asked who'd handled it last--someone had used power tools to take the plug out and the plug was stripped. He asked that I go back to "ASS" and document what he said, and have them put an oversized plug in it since it was their doing and see if they will be decent and thrown in an oil pan. It took some coaching to convince them to put the plug in it at all (they'd rather SELL me a $600 oil pan, after all), but they finally did--and they did it wrong. Furthermore, by the time I got home, my car was leaking transaxle fluid all over the place. I called and let them know and they denied they even touched the part of my car that caused that leak. Mmmm hmm. After a bit of screaming and threatening, they finally admitted that it "might be" their error, and they called to apologize after they had confirmed it. So I got them to fix it and they did give me a free car to drive while it was being fixed, but it should not have gone that far. And yes, I needed a new oil pan after they put that plug in wrong. I got it from Big O. For some reason, whenever I take my car there, it costs hundreds of dollars less than what I'm quoted at ASS, and the repair lasts for a few years. Might have something to do with the fact that they don't have inventory on the lot to try to convince me to buy, but nah--I believe SOME people on this earth are actually human beings and make money providing decent service rather than screwing people over. Recently a friend offered me a $250 off service at ASS--I said "no thanks." I'm sure it would cost me at least $300 more than my regular guys even with the coupon. In conclusion: Do not go to ASS unless you are currently under their service warranty (be careful towards the end of it), OR you simply like to throw money into the wind.

I NEVER BUY AN AMERICAN CAR AGAIN. This sentence repeat in my mind in last 4 days. Worse quality plus disaster customer service PERIOD.
I bought a new GMC vehicle (GMC Acadia) 6 month ago and my car has dead battery now.
I never seen this low quality in any car in my life and they reluctantly accept to change the battery and they were very rude.
I do not recommend this company (GM) or this dealer.

Total RIP off. Made me put 500 deposit down upon arrival without telling me when scheduled. Needed to get driver floor vent and passenger heat vent fixed. Left with nothing fixed and told me the bill was $256.
Told me the heater would run me over a thousand to start. Dude talked to me as if they did me a favor.

Maybe it's the Covid but here is my experience:
Arrive 1110am
Appointment at 1130am
Quoted vehicle would be done by 3pm
Arrive at 430pm vehicle not completed
Didn't leave shop until 510pm
(For a oil change)

Why did I schedule a appointment

However, Dawn in service was pleasant to work with.

Update October 26

Needed to have my vehicle serviced while on a long trip. The shop was super busy but the service manager made time to help me deal with our problem. He was not able fix my vehicle on that day, but I was able to continue to use the vehicle.
