Horrific customer and communication service in 2014 and still no improvement in 2016. The only thing I use this place for is for warranty recalls. I will never buy a vehicle from Serra as they have lied and stalled us on our 2012 Sedona repairs for 1 1/2 years now to the radio. Also, please have your service writers log off facebook long enough to have a face to face conversation with their customers. After all that is what they are there for. I watched one lady try to have a conversation and ask questions for 10 minutes only to have the service writer continue to eye his iPhone and text while he was talking. She even came over and stated how rude it was. Like I told her it was only the 4th time in 2 years for the same problem I have been there and it has happened to me as well each time. I thought it was acceptable business practice I have seen it so much!
I have made my last two purchases from Tim. I have recommended him to family and will continue to recommend him in future to those I know are looking for a new car. He answers all my questions and is willing to go the extra mile. Great Job!
My Service Advisor; Cody, was very professional and worked hard to ensure our safety during the covid pandemic. He also, kept me up to date on my repairs, answered all my questions and made sure everything was to my satisfaction.
I set up a time for an oil change one week in advance for 1010 am. I showed up 10 minutes early and they told me 1 hour and 45 minute wait. I asked is that even with an appointment set. He said yes they are very busy. Why set up an appointment then? I went somewhere else. Nice guy but not customer friendly at all.
Service is slow. Scheduled an appointment. Still took over 90 minutes for a simple oil change.
Only reason why I came was because I had one free one left. What's the point of scheduling appts if people are still skipping past you? Literally 12 people left the room before my car was ready. #Wontbeback

John is a very personable salesman. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I purchased my Silverado. Since my purchase, I have gone to him for all the accessories I wanted for my truck. I will purchase more accessories and another vehicle from him in the future.
This was my first experience purchasing an auto from Al Serra. My salesperson, Kristen Papatheodore-Smith was extremely helpful during this quarantine period. She always answered any questions I had. The transfer of vehicles was done without a problem. I felt totally safe doing so. I will definitely be getting future vehicles from Kristen, even though the dealership is a 2 1/2 hour drive from my house. I highly recommend Kristen from Al Serra Auto Plaza in Grand Blanc.
Purchasing a vehicle through Mike is always painless and quick. We have bought our last 3 vehicles through Mike. We will be back soon for our 4th purchase.

The wife and I just purchased a new VW Golf Sportwagen from Al Serra and we could not be happier. Our salesman Nick Bishop was excellent. He spent a fair amount of time with us as we were not sure what car we wanted so we test drove a couple of cars and changed our mind on colors a couple of times. they had to perform a dealer trade to get the car we wanted as the Sportwagen is new and in demand. Nick was very straight forward and we didn't feel pressured or rushed in any way. We couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. We will always be a VW TDI family and we will be back at Al Serra for our next purchase. We will request Nick when that time comes.

Went for an oil change, great service and very polite. $14. For oil change, 29 for synthetic oil. They take all makes and models. I have a Ford. Just call and make appointment.
People from Kia made me pay a deposit on a Telluride, fill a credit application, ran through my finances, and did a hard pull on my credit, just to call me back after couple days and tell me somebody else has a deposit on it! Total BS. I made sure to ask first thing if anyone has a deposit on that car and they confirmed more than once that no one has. Be aware of that dealer.
Just recently purchased a new Jeep Patriot and I LOVE IT. I was serviced by Ted TJ Patton and he was great. He took care of my application in a timely fashion and prepped my car for me. My next purchase will be there at Al Serra Auto Plaza. Even my father has decided to purchase their next car there, He was as well pleased with the service I received from Ted. Great Job. Keep it up! Eric Boitos in the service department is the best! Love this guy! Extremely knowledgeable and HONEST! Won t go to anyone else but Eric. Eric helped me out a lot when I wasn t sure if I should get a new caddy or keep repairing my old one. He was honest and upfront about the costs of all my repairs and gave me time to look at new cars before fixing my old one. I decided to get a new caddy and so glad I did. Eric even made sure the sale of my car was going smoothly and because of his professionalism and the way he followed up with the salesman and myself I couldn t recommend Eric enough!
Really think their prices are too high. Other competitors are much lower priced. They have no shortage of customers so the prices should be even, but not here not at all. Please shop around!!!

Excellent experience, in and out as quickly as possible! I called and talked to Kris Helms, told him what I needed and within minutes he sent me some pics. Ive worked with him before and trust that he has his customers best interest at heart, so I didnt need to question anything. He had everything ready for me and all I had to do was go in and sign. This is the 3rd vehicle ive bought with Kris as my sales rep, and wouldn't go anywhere else.

We have bought many cars now from Serra and Jim Dallas and he continues to genuinely and professionally work in our interests to help us get what we want and need, without the close-the-deal pressure found at most dealers. Jim is always my first stop when in need of a car or truck and, even after shopping around (for my pre-owned needs) have yet to buy from anyone but Jim. Even my kids are going to Jim for their vehicles now too!

Great price. Had to do a bunch of hoops. Did not fully inform me of what was needed until last mine. Wasted about 8hrs. They also don't accept credit cards which I didn't know until last min. Salesman was cool, but the policies suck.

Rob Collins is a very nice man he helped me with a car and the car originally needed work because it was wholesale it did break down found out it was a bad head gasket I don t think they knew it was going to happen however I was reimbursed and they let me choose another car by far the best dealership I had pleasure doing business with will be coming back soon

BAD NEWS! Stay far away from this dealership. We have 9 cars from BMW's to suburbans. Lived in the area for 22 years. Will never trust this dealership. Tried talking to Matt Serra about their Subaru dealership.. Its very corrupt do not trust it!

Could ve been a better experience if I would ve gotten all the information about my vehicle up front. I guess you live and learn. This will be the last vehicle I buy from this dealer. I was told that my truck hadn t been in any accidents. That was untrue. I was also told that I could come and get a key for my vehicle at any time after 30 days. That was untrue. The value of my vehicle is $8,000 less than what I paid for it 6 months ago. Never trust a salesman or a dealer. They re all looking out for themselves. I ll be contacting the BBB to discuss my options. Al Serra won t receive another nickel from me.

Good experience with friendly staff. Had to get gear shift replaced because key was stuck in ignition. Price for part and labor was a little cheaper than what was quoted by personal mechanic so that was nice.

Worst experience ever at Chevy Service Department!! Go in to get ignition switch recall taken care of, come out short $100 and with my power locks broke. Took Chevy Cobalt in for ignition switch recall, and I asked them to look at the brakes as well. Guy says "Sure, you still qualify for a FREE Multi-point Inspection" leading me to think my brake request is covered in this free inspection. Come back to pick it up and I owe $100 for brake inspection, and the estimate to get brakes fixed was outrageous. I pay the $100 and leave to find out my driver-side door lock won't stay locked because it thinks there is a key in the new ignition switch. I schedule an appointment at 6:45am to get it looked at, and I go back at 5pm just to find out they didn't get to my car. What the heck is the appointment for??? Take it back a 3rd time, and they say it's a coincidence that my locks stopped working the same day they changed my ignition switch. Wouldn't even look at fixing the problem they made. Very rude and unfriendly people, that honestly don't know what they are talking about!
Per usual, I got robbed of a fair price and left out of the parking lot with a car sounding worse than when I came in. After calling and speaking with a manager, I came back to have it inspected again, even though that s what was done in the first place, only to be told I needed to pay 2,000 for the new issues .
Uh, I think not.

John not only knows his stuff but it very thorough in making sure that the customer understand what they are buying and what they are signing, which adds a lot of peace of mind to the experience. Everyone in the dealership was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
They have been helpful since I first called. I am from out of town and I called to ask some questions about the vehicle and the went and looked at it for me and called me back with answers. When I came to look at it they had it waiting for me. All the paperwork was easy to go through and they even followed up after I bought the vehicle. I would definitely buy another vehicle from them.

Almost peculiar place to try to do business. I have three vehicles and it's almost uncomfortable to look at vehicles or get some kind of transaction here.
I found a 2003 Honda Element available at "wholesale to public" from Al Serra. Low miles (for an Element), clean carfax, and a great price. My wife and 11 month old took a 2 hour trip across the state to take it for a test drive, which only lasted for about half a mile after the car slugged to a stop. The brakes locked up!
I was willing to forgive its condition given the price, and Rob, the sales rep, was very apologetic and willing to lower the price even more after the problem was fixed, which I appreciated.
I followed up the next week, he told me everything was fixed and ready to go. I told him I'd still be interested at the lowered price and would pay cash if I could reschedule for another test drive, but after some back and forth for a few days, he informed me his manager had somebody else interested who'd buy the car at full price on a credit plan.
Since I didn't want to loose it, I told him I would've still been willing to pay cash at full price, but because the manager could get the other buyer on a credit plan, it was a better deal for them, and sure enough, the car sold to the other buyer.
Being a business man, I understand their motivation to sell the car to the other buyer, unfortunately it came at my expense (Oh the brakes weren't working? Thanks for driving 2 hours to be the guinea pig to find out!). Very disappointed in the manager's consideration and loyalty to potential customers who had already invested time and energy into the purchase, just to earn a buck.
Rob the sales rep however, was very considerate and understanding of our situation and fought for us to make sure all the details were figured out before we made another family trip across the state. Would've been happy to buy from him, just not from Al Serra!
UPDATE: For the record, I did receive a phone call from Jason, the manager and he did apologize for the mistake. He offered to reconcile the situation with another Element, but unfortunately it was not in my price range/interest. So I'll give them another couple stars for that. Thanks Jason!

I was helped by Chris Salter to purchase a used minivan that I had found online. I was coming from an hour away and didn t want to deal with games and gimmicks. I had set up an appointment to and when I showed up Chris was waiting and ready, he had the minivan pulled up waiting and ready to test drive. I was satisfied with the van and told him I d take it. Within 45 minutes he had the paperwork drawn up and signed and ready to drive away. Chris was extremely personable and easy to talk made me feel right at home. This was my 3rd vehicle I ve purchased from Al Serra but first used and was extremely satisfied
I have purchased a few cars here. Prices are a little high but over all the experience has been better than any other dealership I've been to. They don't want to give you much for trade in.
I HATE car shopping but I had to since someone rear ended me and totalled my car a few weeks ago. Based upon reviews I decided to come to Al Serra and couldn't have been happier. I worked with Corey Vandendries (his office is in the Volkswagon building but he can sell any car on the lot) and he was great. Super friendly and really helpful. I ended up looking at a couple of cars of Monday and bought one on Tuesday. If I need another car I will definitely be coming back here.

On 6/23/15 I had an appointment to have the oil changed in my 2009 Saturn Outlook. I chose to set an appointment due to stopping by the week earlier only to experience a 90 + wait at the "express lane".
The appointment was at 8 AM at which time I arrived at approx. 7:50 AM in order to be on time. Jeff, the representative, was very polite and professional and guided me to the waiting room. I was released at aprox. 9:15 AM so the fact is it was not much better than waiting in the "express lane" to have the work done.
Again Jeff was very pleasant however the concern is the work done was not what was requested. When I went on line to set up the service I requested a synthetic blend oil and the mechanics used a regular weight oil. Jeff told me he looked at my history and that was what was put in during the last appointment however that had been quite a while ago and I had the synthetic used in between visits. There was also a sticker in the window indicating the type of oil that had been used during the last oil change.
Jeff was apologetic however the lady at the check out counter was not so much and also mentioned that they used regular oil during my last visit there. I kindly told her had someone looked at the mileage between oil changes it would have been quite obvious the oil was changed in between visits to Al Serra and that I was not pleased with this error.
I have always had respectful experiences at Al Serra and normally the representatives are very helpful and pleasant however in this case I have to be honest and was not completely satisfied with the results. No sense in not sharing this experience in efforts to help this mistake from happening again.

1 star only because I don t have the option of 0! My husband brought his truck here for work about 7 months ago... after them having the truck on and off for 3 months and 11grand later he is still having nothing but issues with it. He took it to get new tires today at a different shop & the tire rods which they supposedly replaced at al Serra are already bad and never greased or installed correctly. When I called and spoke to the manager Cole all he could do is say bring it here and we will check it out But your warranty is thru us & couldn t offer me anything else. After spending 11grand CASH you think they would be a little more understanding or helpful but no!!! Also when he first got a quote from AL Serra they quoted him for a new power steering pump which was NEVER done, he had issues with it again & we brought it back they tried to get us to pay another 2grand for a new pump which we were lead to believe was done the first time since it was in our quote!!! The shop he currently has his truck at will have it done in 2 days! Al Serra would have the truck for weeks at a time!!! We will never be going to this place again forcing us to pay for new parts that were done at Al Serra. Being new family and trying to save to get a new house to expand our family has once again been put on hold due to car repair expenses we thought we finally were done with!
Hudy Handy went above and beyond. I'm coming back to him for any future vehicles I purchase. I'm truly grateful.
