Worst purchase we ever made.My husband and I purchase a leather Flex Steel power sofa and recliner. We choose to pick it up to save time, although they did claim to deliver to Sacramento for a fee. After getting the items home, we noticed a fold of under cushion material on the top and the front of the recliner. We reported it just a few weeks of our purchase. Also submitted pictures. Al's refuses to assist us with the repair or replacement of the chair. They stated that we are out of their area to assist us. Please note they did claim to deliver to Sacramento and also state that they serve the Sacramento area on their website. Flex Steel has no phone number to call. You can submit a complaint online and it goes ignored. They did give us a repair company to contact and they have not physically seen the recliner but are refusing to come out to even look at it. The Flex Steel Warranty is WORTHLESS! We paid almost $4,000 for these two pieces of furniture that came with a 1 year warranty, and within weeks of the purchase, we found that there really is NO warranty at all. Go somewhere else with your hard earned money because Al's does not deserve any of it!

Alex at Al's Furniture was absolutely top notch. We purchased 3 flex steel loveseats, which was a huge purchase for us. (Picky shopper) He was beyond patient, he endured frequent visits, questions, measurement concerns and price shopping. Alex stepped up with each request and even advocated for us to the manager. He really went the extra mile to make me a happy costumer. He even took the time to lay out our room on paper, which really helped me to visualize the love seats in my living room. BIG THANKS :)

My loveseats arrived ahead of schedule and were delivered early. They were willing to match a local competitors price. I even received a call after the delivery to be certain I was happy. A very pleasant experience. Thankyou Al's Furniture for a Surperb selection of quality furniture. I have confidence that my new furniture will stand up to the test of time. All this and it was accompanied with excellent costumer service! Even the delivery men were top notch, careful, polite and very willing to please. I am very impressed with the entire experience. Now to save up for that amazingly beautiful Amish dining room table I saw in the showroom. I have shopped here many times for furniture over the years. They have a good selection of items at various price points and quality levels, but mostly midrange. Not a high end designer center, but quality items. In Jan 2018, Ricardo helped me find the perfect sofa and chairs for me and my space, and very quickly too! He really knows the furniture and how to help people. Always honest and friendly; Never pressuring. Delivery team was great too.

Great selection of furniture, attentive staff. Lots of parking. They have a few different brands, Flexsteel, Best, and a couple others. Their delivery prices are very reasonable, as their furniture is made good and heavy. We bought a Flexsteel couch and loveseat, both power recliners with power headrests too. Very nice leather, can't wait till it is delivered. We looked at other brands, and did lots of research. Can't go wrong at Al's. Linda did a great job as our sales person. Thank you

We purchased our bed from Al s. Everyone was very nice and the whole thing from purchasing or bed to delivery and set up was easy with no problems. Alex was our sales person and he was cool down to earth guy who helped us find exactly what we wanted. There delivery and setup guy were professional and took great care moving this monster cal king bed up stairs. Thanks Al s keep up the good work.

Walked in with a large amount of money looking for a coffee table. Looked around the store for a good fifteen minutes, more than thirty times sales associates walked past me(probably 7-10 in total unique people), never said a word to me to even acknowledge I was there or to direct me in anyway to specific things or spots that might be of interest. As a twenty year old, I assumed as if it was my age that effected their perception of my ability to purchase anything and I wasn't worth their time trying. I walked out quite offended assuming this. Would love to think they might just be respective towards my privacy as a shopper but others were being tracked down; verhearing the sale associates saying, "you got him?" as a new customer walked past them.

The worst experience trying to purchase furniture.....I unfortunately was given a price which changed...Employee nor worst MANAGEMENT did nothing to honor the price just to scrounge a commission. They didn't even care to have lost the business either. Over-rated.

If you are looking for quality furniture and friendly salespeople, this is the place for you. We were greeted by salesman Jim DeLuca. Asked us what we were looking for and walked us to the location. Gave us a rundown on the features and asked if we had any questions. He then turned us loose to try out the leather sofa sets. He waited for us to choose one then walked over to see how we were doing. Not once pressuring us in any way which I really like. He explained the construction of the framework, springs etc. We were actually taken to a model of this in the showroom. He is extremely knowledgeable. Long story short, we bought a leather sofa set and it is fantastic. Has a very good warranty as well. Jim called us to make sure the delivery went smoothly and also sent us a thank you card. Great people and very high quality furniture. Thanks again Jim for a pleasant furniture buying experience.

This is a great place to get furniture. The service was excellent. Our salesperson Alex answered all of our questions and followed up in a timely manner. The delivery guys were friendly and on time. Our order even came in early which was great for us. We got exactly what we ordered at a fair price. I will be going back for my next furniture purchase.

Absolutely wonderful products and service! Very knowledgeable and not pushy. Alex was very helpful and didn t try to push us into anything we weren t budgeting for. He simply gave us the info, products and all possible options. The Flexsteel sectional we purchased is sensational. If you want a couch that s quality and is going to last decades Al s Furniture in Modesto is the place to go.

My wife and I went looking for a new recliner and found the one we wanted at a better price than anywhere else we shopped. Ceasar was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process a no hassle experience. He even called about five days later to check and see how everything was going with the new chair. Not surprised that Al's is a customer favorite. Will definitely be back when we are looking to purchase more furniture.

We are very happy with our sofa purchased from Al's Furniture. It was a special order and because of the Covid 19 pandemic, delivery took longer than usual. However, the salesmen at Al's kept us updated on the progress. This week our sofa was delivered and it is perfect!

We recently purchased a Flexsteel Power Recliner from Al's furniture
, a very pleasant experience. Our salesperson Mike, was well informed about the various styles/types of recliners. We were able to zero in on one that was comfortable as well as met all my needs. We had to order the piece, but it arrived quickly and was a big hit with everyone in the family. I highly recommend contacting Mike at Al's Furniture when you are in the market for any furniture.

I think I will start with the owner of Al s he obviously takes great care in making sure your customer experience is awesome. They have an Amazing staff and service department.

Our Sales persons was brook and she took all the time I needed to make my selection. She was very attentive and gave us all the options with no pressure at all.

She was great from order to pick up to as far as follow up to make sure we are happy. I will buy all my furniture here from now on.

The shipping department super respectful and took great care not to hurt my new furniture so far as to over look it for me to make sure there was no damage.

Definitely 5 stars. Great job guys.

Cesar was incredibly knowledgeable about the products Al's Furniture carries, and helpful in assisting us with finding the type of couch and loveseat we wanted. We love what we purchased and plan on returning when it's time to replace other items.

Got a New Recliner from Al's furniture at 6340 Mc Henry & 108 in Modesto, Ca. It was a Great Deal! The Sale's person, "Serita Lewis was a great Help", as were others that worked there, at Al's Furniture. I will be back to get the other Recliner someday soon.

I have been a customer of Al s furniture for years, and I know whatever I purchase there it is all quality! Cesar was very helpful in helping me find a recliner sofa. He was friendly and wasn t pushy. Cesar showed me several sofas and let me have space to let me decide what I wanted. He explained in detail how the sofa was made, once I chose the one I wanted. The delivery was less time than I expected and the delivery drivers were great as well! I will be a customer always.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of furniture in your store. Our sales person was great, not pushy, and listened to what we needed. From the no pressure sales and professionalism of Alex to on time and focused delivery this could not have been better! Most people I know ( me included) do not furniture shop enough to be comfortable with the process. Alex , the delivery team and Al s in general did a great job. My experience at Al's Furniture was very good. The sales representative, Mike, was helpful and courteous. I did not buy on the first day. I returned a few days later with my husband. Rick, was filling in for Mike and he was very nice and helpful, also.We decided to purchase the love seat, at that time. Then we returned the next day and went to the storage warehouse to pick it up. The workers there were pleasant and did a good job covering the love seat and were careful in loading it onto our truck. We are pleased with our purchase and will go to Al's Furniture again, in the future.

Leo made the whole shopping experience from start to end enjoyable. There was no pressure and I truly appreciated that.

The sales staff did not push me, but were available and able to answer all of my questions. Delivery was on time, and they placed the furniture in the room for me and showed me how to set it up. I will be going back in the future for the rest of the set.

I've never seen so many aggressive sales people in one place in my entire life! I felt like I was at a used car lot at the end of the month, and everyone's bonus was on the line. It was such an uncomfortable shopping experience, that after 10 minutes, I no longer even cared to find what I was looking for, I just wanted out.

Purchased a King platform bed. Bed was ready a few weeks ahead of schedule. Delivery was prompt and professionally done. Whole process was vet smooth.

My mom was so delighted with her custom sofa and the customer service was superb!!

I came to Al's Furniture looking for a reclining loveseat. I was greeted by Mike, who listened to what I was wanting. He escorted me to several loveseats, gave me all the information I needed which included the price. We found the exact one I wanted, ordered it, and it came in weeks early. Delivery was exceptional, and the loveseat is not only beautiful and comfortable, but very well made. I highly recommend Al's, great service and product. Also, they were all wearing masks!

We had excellent service & got exactly what we were looking for.

This place no longer sells quality furniture. But the items they do sell are still priced very high. No more solid wood or unfinished furniture. I was looking for a new dresser and was shown what looked like a nice one until I opened the drawer. It was a wobbly particle board frame with metal rails behind a wood face. I said to the sales person that I asked for a solid wood dresser and he told me that I would need to order from a catalog for that. I'm afraid that quality is a thing of the past.

I went there to see if they sold box springs since mine had broken. The sales representative was very nice and called the manager to see if they could. She told me they would work with me and that they don't make "box springs" anymore, that they were now making "foundations" or "platforms." She told me they would sell me one for $160. That was a bit steep, considering the previous furniture gallery I looked at would have sold me a box spring for $90, but I'd have to wait for it to be shipped. I asked her what a platform foundation was. She told me it would look like the foundations they had on display, which were very nice with wooden bottoms and feet or wheels (I wasn't mistaken; she'd confirmed they would have legs). I then thought that was a pretty good deal, so I purchased one and had to go pick it up from their warehouse.

When I got to the warehouse I was godsmacked, to say the least, when they loaded my truck with an ordinary, flimsy box spring. I took it back to the sales representative, who was also shocked that that was what they'd given me. She called upon the manager, who I can say with utmost confidence was THE RUDEST MAN I'D EVER MET in the line of customer service! I explained why I was so confused, and he didn't in the least try to understand me. He basically told me that was what a foundation was- a box spring (but without the springs). I told him I was told differently. I'd purchased something else, and the price was $70 more than the last place I'd gone to for the exact same thing. He seemed offended and became aggressive, sarcastically retorting that he doubted that, "considering box springs go for $600." What a liar!! He told me it was nonrefundable anyway ("too bad, so sad"), and I had to drag my fiance away because he would have gotten physical with the man. I will never, EVER go back to this awful place again. I've never been treated so badly in my life, and by someone I'd done business with! Don't purchase your furniture here if you don't like getting screwed from behind without the lube.

The sales person (Cesar) was very patient with us. We changed our minds several times.
The delivery folks were very professional, clean and knew what they were doing. Oh, The material was delivered as promised and even called ahead.

I have a queen bedroom set that I bought from Al's and I absolutely love it. I have had great service and just love the way the store looked. If I had to recommend a store for one stop shopping it would be Al's Furniture. My Sales person was so helpful and honest about my furniture. I had my Bedroom set and mattress delivered and the delivery team was awesome. It was an overall great experience.

I ve gotten a few pieces of furniture from Al s over the years and I ve always been very happy! Recently I purchased a dinning table with 8 chairs, 4 bar stools, a cute little sofa chair and a painting! I was so happy with the prices, the delivery and the customer service! When you walk into al s you re always greeted and if you d like help they are really great and knowledgeable and if you don t they give you your space to look around. I definitely recommend Al s Fruniture! The quality of furniture and service can t be beat!

Very pleased with recliner purchase...Leo made the entire experience pleasant and easy. About the only place where one can purchase, pick up (at nearby warehouse), and have it home to use all on the same day.

Historically I have worked exclusively with him but when calling to confirm if he was available, I understood he was on a leave. Jim has always been extremely helpful and professional which is why I continue to request him to help me.

We were given all the information that we needed to decide which kitchen table to buy. The sales man helped us choose the perfect piece for our home. The delivery was quick and well worth the $50 to put everything together.

I had been shopping for furniture for a few months . Drove as far as Sacramento then to Bay Area . Honestly I made my last stop at Als furniture. Saw a sale sign and it was right before they closed . Found my perfect bedroom set and fell in love. I have had so many people come and compliment my bedroom set .
Every penny was worth it. So many features and great quality of wood. Every other set I looked st in other stores were horrible quality . It was all meant to be and it s all mine!!

Found a sectional we really liked but not sure if it would fit and this store is about 3 hours from home. We were fortunate to work with Mike Bare, who kept in touch with us while we confirmed it would work and then helped us find a UHaul to get it home. The assistance and professionalism didn't stop at the store. When I went to pick the furniture up the two young men at the warehouse, Josh and Tachan, were also very professional and helpful in explaining how everything worked, how it went together, and made sure the items in the UHaul were secure. Even at such a distance, I would not hesitate going back to Al's Furniture in Modesto for future furniture purchases.

A huge selection of furniture. Friendly staff, didn't make you feel pressured. Only went to look but they had what we wanted and we ended up buying.

Everything was great up until it was time for delivery. We called twice,over a 3 day period, to find out the status of the delivery and were told someone would call us back but no one did. On the third call, somoeone was able to provided the delivery information.

Our salesman Jim was great, very friendly and helpful. The delivery guys did a great job, also.
