Brought my jet skis in to get serviced. After spending 900.00 I went to charge the batteries found the battery on 1 of them not secured and the straps missing. They just replaced the battery on the ski . And the other ski has a cap missing . Called them and they tell me they don't take the straps to secure the battery out the skis And now want me to bring the skis back to them so they can look and see if they are inside the skis somewhere. They tell me that it's about 100.00 for the parts So they want me to spend 100.00 bring the skis back and forth to there shop and see if the parts they lost are in the skis that I have already looked for. Never bring them back to them

Over the past few months I have been doing business with Baton Rouge, Friendly Honda Yamaha. I started with their parts department, then sales and now service. Their prices are competitive, but what sets them apart from other dealerships is their staff. From top to bottom each person was very easy to work with and you always have the feeling they want your business not just your money.

If this dealer doesn't have a part or a bike in stock they will work with other dealers to find what you need. If one staff member cannot answer a question they will find somebody who can.
If you are looking for a new bike or trying to fix an old one, Friendly is a good place to start.

Thanks Friendly,

RB

I brought my bike in back in June, it s a 2020 Honda foreman (maybe 7 months old). Told them that there was a whining noise and wanted them to check it out. Took them about 2 weeks to get back to me, to tell me I ll need to pay a $500 down payment (for them to break my bike down to see the problem) so I paid it. Then after about a week passes I call them to check on it and they told me what was wrong with it (the clutches were messed up) but it had to get sent to the warranty company to so if it ll be covered. Another few days go by, they call me and tell me that it wasn t covered and I ll need to pay the total amount. So I was fine with that. Now I ve been set for another scheduled time for a week later. So I wait and call them on the day I was told it ll be done. It wasn t done. Get told it will be another week until it s done. By this time my bike has been in the shop for about a month and a half now. They finally called me back and told me they got all the clutch system fixed, but come to find out there is another noise that I was never aware of and wasn t told about. I ve been told many different things about what s going on with my bike I m confused at this point. I ve steadily paying for this bike without it being in my possession. Like I said I ve had it there for a month and a half now and still haven t gotten it back. I will never bring my bike back here again!

Years ago I bought a bike from the sales team here, and have had that same bike back for service multiple times, with any issue or concern I had addressed immediately and corrected. They were always polite and friendly and did great work. But that's not why I'm writing this review. Recently a friend who had just purchased a bike from them had a fatal accident on his other bike. The sales team at Friendly bought the new bike back, and really went above and beyond to make the process painless and effortless for his widow. They demonstrated top notch customer service. I cannot explain in words how much headache and stress and cost they saved us from enduring. 10/10 would recommend this place for any motorsports needs.

Brought my 08 ZX-14 in for repairs. The service department was very pleasant and took the time to answer all my noob questions. I got the bike back today and she is running like a dream. I'm happy to say I found some place I can trust to work on my motorcycle. Won't be taking her anyplace else.

My immediate interaction with the first salesman w...

My immediate interaction with the first salesman was great. However, when it came time to take the next step after I chose to ask a relative to get involved that has worked in finance for over 30 years things went south. The tag on the bike of choice had a flat price with no hidden fees as advertised. My relative asked questions as to why I was being charged document fees and recording on the title when the actual leinholder includes this fee with tax, title and license. I was willing to give $2,000 cash down and the leinholder to write a check for the remaining amount but was told that I could not leave with the bike without the check from the leinholder being in hand. No leinholder will give a check to any company without the buyer's order, title and paperwork in order for the check to be released. Friendly was not even willing to pick the check up from the other company. The finance manager was very rude and told my relative (which was my mother) that she needed to not stick her nose in my business even after he was made aware that should be going over the financing to ensure that I was being taken care of. He even tried to sell me auto insurance after I claimed I had that already taken care of. I felt like he was only concerned about ripping me off and tried to take whatever he could from me. He wanted me to take a loan out for a portion of the bike and a separate loan for another 1,000 even with me putting 2,000 down on a bike listed around 5,000 I went to Outdoor Powerbouse and that gladly took care of me and gave me a deal on a brand new motorcycle. They waved fees that were not necessary, dropped off the paperwork to the leinholder and even lowered the bike without charging for labor. I received a call a few days later from Friendly asking what my plans were on purchasing and when I informed them I had already purchased a motorcycle, they asked from where, I responded and the saleman hung up in my face. I will never recommend Friendly to anyone, because one thing is for sure...this place is NOT Friendly.

As I own 2 four wheelers and 2 motorcycles I ve tried numerous times to get parts from them. Never have I got parts on the line. Been buying on line lately and getting great service. Stopped in Friday to look at side by side and could get anyone to sell it to me. Looked around several times to see employees sitting at desks visiting with one another. Heading to Brookhaven, Ms. now to buy Yamaha 4 seat wolverine. Friendly not very friendly.

Terrible!! Terrible customer service!!! When someone comes into your store and has to walk up and down and all around and never gets approached by one person in the whole place and they're just sitting there!! Absolutely terrible!! Your money is better spent elsewhere! I would never recommend buying from this place

Went in today to buy a new 4x4 Foreman. No one acknowledged or said a word to me in the 30 minutes I was browsing. Spoke to Brookhaven Honda and answered every question I had and laid everything out with no BS and beat their price. Save yourself the trouble and take the drive to Brookhaven.

I've bought many motorcycle's, atv's, and utv's from all of the big dealers around the New Orleans area throughout my life. I wish I would have found this place sooner! They have the most competitive pricing around and do not add all of the dealer fees everyone else does. The staff and management are extremely friendly and honest! They truly do care about their customers. I highly recommend Freindly Powersports to anyone looking to purchase a new toy! You won't be disappointed!!

Not sure why there are other HD owners in these reviews that are complaining... probably due to the fact that they wanted an unrealistic amount for their trade. I brought my 2008 HD Street Glide in, received a fair trade value, and picked up my 2014 Grizzly 450 and 2014 FZ-09. I did have to wait a bit to pick up the FZ because I wanted the color that had not been distributed yet by Yamaha, but it came in the day after Christmas so I was perfectly happy with that. Gary, Chris and Sharon were all very professional and considerate. Chris helped me with the price on a ramp, Sharon gave me a good deal on the warranty, and Gary kept me well informed. The other folks I've dealt with in service and parts have been friendly and accomodating.

I read some bad reviews of this place and I was really put off by it, but I realized pretty much every bad review was followed up by the dealership to try to remediate the problem, so I decided to go here and purchase a 2019 Honda Grom. When I entered I was greeted with smiles and greetings, the salesman showed me the bike I wanted and let me sit on it while he told me all kinds of information about it, after that I went through a pretty quick process of buying the bike and 2 and a half hours later I was driving off.
When I got home I noticed a chip in the fiberglass on the fender somewhere where a rock couldn't hit it so I reckoned it was when they took it out the crate, I went back a week later when I had a day off and with barely any questions asked they ordered me a new fender to replace that one.
I highly recommend this dealership, if you do go up there I recommend talking with Nick, he was very helpful to me. Thanks Friendly!

Wish I could have given zero stars! If you have to throw your competitors under the bus by calling their mechanics "Walmart shade-tree mechanics" to make yourself look good, that tells me this is not the place for me. Overwhelmingly disappointed with the service department and the managers. Kudos to you for sending your mechanics to a great school, you should do the same for those managers who offer customer service...seems as though they need some schooling too. I'll be back to my "Walmart shade-tree mechanic" dealership when I decide to purchase my 5th Honda product.

I am 19 years old and when i was intrested in buying a bike all of the workers walked right past me because i guess they thought i was just a kid who couldn t afford one. But, when i put cash on the table they were completely different. Also when i had to bring my bike the the service dept. i would call them and be put on hold for 30 minutes. I walked in the doors at 2:32 (service dept. closes at 2:30 on saturdays) they told me they couldn t even park my bike outside. i needed to talk to a service person but i can t get on the phone with one! haha this place is a joke

Service department kind of rude. Had them put new tubes in front and rear tires due to pinch flats,me riding a little too low on air pressure. So I bought heavy duty tubes and their service dept install them. Go pick up my bike and take it home then realize both tires are flat. Go to put air in them and find out both stems are misaligned and there isn t enough stem far enough out to get the chuck on and the retaining nuts were both missing!!! Sure wouldn t trust them for anything serious. And kind of snotty to my wife when asked to correct their mistake.

I have been within the motorcycle business close t...

I have been within the motorcycle business close to 40 years, so I know a thing or two about them.
I have been going to Friendly Yamaha about 15 years+, I deal mainly with the parts department, which at times have patience of angels with taking calls and dealing with customers.
They have always been very professional in every way, and if the parts I require are not in stock, they instantly see if its available and when it will ship, and with the recent new policy, if I would like the items shipped to me or pick up at the counter.
I have read some of the negative feedback, I have never seen this or been treated rude or mistreated in anyway by the service or parts department.
If I could give them a 10 star rating I would.
Their new updated website is a mass improvement.
I'll continue to do business with FRIENDLY YAMAHA.

I've been to Friendly Honda Yamaha on several occa...

I've been to Friendly Honda Yamaha on several occasions, and have mostly left frustrated and asking myself why I go back. Below are my experiences from the last (and final) 3 times I went in to their dealership.

First was to order a new foot peg bracket for a Honda VFR800. I found myself having to repeat the year, make and model several times to the individual behind the counter in order to have him pull up the parts fiche for the correct model. I explained what side I needed and paid for the part so it would be shipped from the warehouse. I went to pick it up a week later, the wrong part was ordered... so I was down for another week so they could correct their mistake.

Next time I went to get some exhaust gaskets for a header I was installing. When I got home I found that the hollow cooper gaskets had been crushed/creased either by the quart of coolant I purchased and dropped into the bag with the small parts by their staff or the gaskets were sold to me like that off their parts shelf. Frustrated, I went to GN Gonzales and picked up another set that were perfectly fine before I left and when I got home.

The final time I dropped by the see the new VFR1200. I looked at a few Arai helmets in the parts department where I was ignored, then I went over to the sales floor to check out the Honda and a Yamaha FJR1200 that caught my eye. I tried to get the attention of several salesmen, they only looked at me then turned to avoid having to greet me or make contact. <sarcasm> Real "friendly" of 'em. </sarcasm>

I'll never go back to their shop again, they aren't the only dealer in town and I've found the other guys are a LOT friendly and knowledgable of their inventory. I don't care if the owner writes a reply to my review, because he'd just be wasting his time trying to back pedal and explain the incompetence and unprofessional performance of his staff.

I must say I find what I'm looking for when I go but I always get the sense that my business isn't appreciated. I asked one if the guys about a honda performance quad he answered my question and right in the middle of my next question without saying excuse me he just answers the phone. I found that very rude. I was about to ask about a Yamaha 700. But now I'm really debating on if I want to follow up with friendly on my next quad purchase. Hmmmm?

I purchased a used motorcycle from Friendly power sports, and didnt see a few dings and scratches in the photo. When made aware of the omission, Mark was very willing to work with me, and we sorted things out. I am very pleased with the diligence, honesty, and professionalism I encountered. I am sorry that I jumped the gun and left negative review yesterday. Just a quick note to follow up. Fender painted, check as promised, could not be happier with this outfit. 100% customer satisfaction!

Was being helped and our salesman was in the middle of our sale and went off and started making other sales instead of finishing ours and taking our down payment. He didn't inform us of what was going on with our sale either, he just walked away like we weren't his customers

UPDATE: I walked up to another worker and she told me that they were waiting on lenders. This is funny because our salesman had told us we had an approval, and we only came to the location to give the down payment and pick up the bike. He ran credit three times from March 17 to March 30 twice on the same bike we had already come to agreement on the purchase. We had already planned on us picking up the bike today yet we are going through everything all over again that we had already done over the phone.

I am not a fan of typing on the internet much less about a bad experience. I am at a loss for words about this dealership. I got attitude from the parts department an at the same time looked over at the worker next to him roll his eyes while on the phone with another customer. the service department was some what "friendly", but i guess that was because they were about to slam my wallet against the wall. i payed over 300 dollars for and oil change and a tire swap. this is beyond absurd. the icing on the cake was when i was browsing around the store at parts on the wall and over heard one of the salesmen making racial comments while talking with his co working laughing an smirking. i was so bad i thought that i was invisible. surly they were not intentionally do this toward my ethnicity. i am a hard working African American who makes decent money and like to spend some of it on my toys and hobbies. i can without a doubt say i will never step foot in this roach infested place again.

I went to the location to have two nuts removed fr...

I went to the location to have two nuts removed from a Honda trx250 final drive that calls for $300 worth of special tools to remove them. When approaching the service desk, the guy said, "I would not touch that with a 10' pole," and said this before I said anything. So I asked what they would charge me to just remove the two nuts needing special tools, and he said again, "I won't touch it." When asked why, he said he has had nothing but bad experiences with rebuilding them and they break right after. That's when I told him I am rebuilding it not him. All I was asking is for him to remove the two nuts so I don't have to spend $300+ for tools I will only need for a minute then never need again. He said he would rather sell me a new one for about the same amount it costs to rebuild it. Well, seeing as it only cost $28 for all parts to rebuild it and the fact that the part is obsolete, I asked him if he could get me one for around the same price, and all he said was, "Sorry. I won't touch it." On the other hand, the parts department is very helpful and told me of another place to go that would be more helpful.

UPDATE:
The general manager got in touch with me, and was extremely helpful. He apologized for the way the staff treated me, and said that was not the way they do business. He met me at the Honda shop and helped me with the job I needed done, and did not charge me. I am pleased with the way he handled the situation. While I will probably never go back to the service department again, I would deal with him again in the future if I ever need anymore help.

My nephew bought a used Kawisaki 310 jet ski from these guys came to my house in florida to ride.He we told this is a fully serviced bike got here didn't run as it should went to a local Kawisaki dealer here and found out at 14 hours this bike blew up and was rebuilt. There response was we are not kawisaki dealers and wouldn't know that info however after calling friendly Yamaha it took them a half hour to have all the details . Then the discussion was on how the bike was running all they did was charge him for diagnosis it and wanted to give him a bill for 1000 dollors for undone maintince. There excuse was he sprayed the engine with silicone spray to displace moisture and prevent corrosion as most manufacters including kawisaki advise to do.BOTTOM line 2 weeks after they received his money No Full Disclosure on the bikes history and treated as a nobody when it came to the bike running right didn't care a bit about making things right

Saw an internet ad for a new(2012) bike, I was ready to buy . took my bike in for a trade, first the sales guy (andy) gave me a price much higher than the internet price he had to look it up then said oh okay, it was a last year model and I know as well as them as soon as I buy it it's a year old used bike, I checked the NADA book for what my bike was worth, The sales guy said if my bike were in perfect condition they offer me three to five hundred less than NADA trade in value and gave me a song about they can't sell Harley Davidsons. More or less it was take their deal or too bad .oh I was told they could raise the price, and give me a better trade in, I went back in to see if I could negotiate a little bit better deal and I asked the "new sales guy" if they had a sales manager and he went and got the same sales guy I had before who said "I thought I made it clear what the deal was " I just left. if your a lame duck and let them bully you into their deal, go ahead .NOT ME ps. I'm a real consumer not a " Fake" just writing a review.... sorry.ADAM L.

I'm a retired vet who works on quads in my spare time for friends and family who can't afford high dollar mechanic fees. The guys here have been helping me for a long while to get the hard to find parts I need to keep them running. Can't say enough about their dilligence and patience with my often hard to fill request. As busy as they get they always take good care of me in the long run. I appreciate their hard work and their know how. Hard to find customer service like theirs these days but you got a customer in me bud.

I just went pick up my 2016 honda pioneer sxs from getting a recall done. First, I called about getting it done to see when I could bring it in. I was told they would order the parts and call me when it came in. I was not contacted when the parts came in. Approximately a week went by so I called and they told me I could bring the bike in , but to give them a few days to work on it while servicing other bikes, which I understand, because its recall work. So a week went by and I called on a wednesday and I was told probably by Late Friday afternoon we will get to it, 4 bikes ahead of you I was told.... Take this in account also.., I did not buy the pioneer from them, but about 8 months ago I bought 2 honda cbr600rr s the same day from them, when we first moved here. One for my wife, and one for me. I also bought some parts from them recently. So today when I went to pick up my bike the guy at the counter hands me my keys and receipt so I asked him where was it, then he told me. So I go outside to get it and 2 four wheelers are behind my bike, so I go let the guy know and some dude with a attitude comes out and asked for my keys to my bike so I gave them to him and he drove my bike over the parking bump and came flying around the corner like a bat out of hell because he was mad I guess.( He is very lucky I kept my composure, because I am professional) This was by far the worse customer service experience I received from a dealership. By the way, we have 2 4 wheelers, 2 motorcycles, and the pioneer sxs, but none of them will ever go back there for anything. We will be dyno tunning our bikes soon and I did not even bother to ask them about it when I went inside. If this guy will drive my bike like he did infront of me, just imagine what he does when you are not around. If you are like me and you work hard for what you have and time is a factor, do not bring it there for service, but I will say my salesmen name was Brandy and she was awesome and the sales manager, but service for my sxs was horrible.

I bought a Yamaha Viking off the show room floor 3...

I bought a Yamaha Viking off the show room floor 3 months. When I brought it back for its first service at about 15 hours I told them the tires rubbed the front fender when turned and a tire was squeaking. I received a call that the over size tires was causing the tires to rub the fender and I needed a lift kit. I authorized them to install it. When I picked it up I asked them why I had to pay for lift kit and labor since I bought it that way, their response was Yamaha don t care because it was after market tires. Really?!?! I bought it like way! They finally knocked a little off my $800 bill.
Once we got it home the tire still squeaked. I called and talk to Chris who had the service manager call me. He told me that s just what side by sides do. Of course I laughed. He said I could change the brake pads and that may work, but they would not cover the cost.
I also purchased an extended warranty on this bike, a lot of good that s going to do me if I need it!
My next stop is my attorney Office. I have never had so many problems with such terrible customer service.
