Typical italian, new airport already old, not designed for the quantity of traffic it has. I needed package delivery like DHL, there is none in the airport area. But if you can afford it, no luxury can be compared to land and take a private water taxi to reach your hotel in Venice.

Crowded, but you will find all the information you need
Although it serves tourists as much as the world, it is inadequate. In August, there was an incredible queue both in security check and in the passport queue. We waited approximately 2 hours in line. In order not to extend this period, I suggest you to check in online and print your boarding pass at the kiosks. At least you get in line early. If you want to go shopping, go much earlier. There is a store selling local products after the security check. Famous brands also have clothing, bags, etc. stores. There is no clothing store after the passport control, there is duty free but it is small compared to the other. After the passport control, there is a quiet resting place on the intermediate floor. Proceed from the right, go down the stairs.

Nice airport with beautiful decor and smooth moving for travellers.Although the airport is not very big but provides good services and flights to many European destinations.It is also easy to reach as it is not far from the city.

We stupidly left an expensive camera on board our Aerlingus flight 2 weeks ago. We realised when on the bus to terminal. We ran to the Lost and Found and they called the plane staff. They told us we would have to wait minimum 30 mins and 45 mins later ground staff gave us back our camera. We heard horror stories before going going to Italy, but we were so so lucky. No camera would have ruined our holiday as my Husband loves photography. We then left that area and bought boat taxi tickets easily, found boat area easily. So no complaints at all about this airport.
The worst airport i have ever been too. Charging outlets are everywhere, but none of them are working. Prices are more than 3-times higher than in super markets in Italy (5,50 euro for a small piece of pizza). Also have doubts about security check - it was really superficial.
Inadequate structure for the number of flights now operating in Venice. Long lines at passport control both on departure and arrival. Many flights are not directly connected to the terminal so you have to take the bus, whatever the weather is outside.
Was a struggle to find a usable restroom.a cleaner was patrolling one denying people to use it due to wet floor and the other out of order. Situation improved once arrived the gates area. But not very clean.
What a joke. We arrived 4 hours early. Delta bag check in belt was stuck. Waited in line for over an hour. Venice doge customs only had 2 people for hundreds of travelers trying to get refunds! An hour wait and we decided to go to the gate because the gate opens an hour prior. Another unknown problem and we waited at the gate for an hour. We should have just tried to get our refunds. Classic Italian total failure.
The airport is modern and well organized. From the rental car to the alilaguna everything is very well marked. I was surprised not to find public telephones.

Organized / Covid test. Arrived yesterday 2020.10.10 at Venice airport from Paris. Compulsory Covid 19 test when leaving the plane for the French (among others). It's free, but still allow time, it took us 1 hour 30 minutes, between the waiting line and the 1st result communicated within the quarter of an hour. Then we were given the elements to have a more "advanced" result in 4 days to consult on the internet. It's still not badly organized (in France it was impossible for us to carry out the test due to travel and ensuring a result of less than 72 hours !! ... If you can ... it is the other solution). Good reception, rather well organized. We can almost understand, and it's better than paper ... incomprehensible to fill in the plane?! ... :) Happy for this time not to have passed the test !! ... Negative is the best !! ...;)
Terrible. The whole gate area is completely stuffed, nobody can move. The emergency exits and stairs are also blocked with people. Terrible managing, no security system. This is unbelievable.

Current restrictions mean it is not crowded and you can get to your flight gate easily. Most shops are open in the main terminal but things become more limited once you pass passport control to reach selected gates. Reasonable wifi. Clean.
Two hours in a row at passport control, ten minutes at the newsstand with three people in a row, in the kilometer-long bar with only two attendants. Sandwiches for 6, two hours of parking for 9.50.

The Venice airport has several national records. Distributed on two floors (above the departures and below the arrivals) it seems rather simple to use and manage even for a foreign traveler. The taxi and bus service outside, guarantee excellent connections both by land and by the historical center, by water. I have not experienced negative moments related to negligence or superficiality on the part of the staff.

Not much to it. Before you check in you have a lot of charging options for your electronic devices.
Once you go through security, there is only one charging station with like 9 plugs..
It is also a "silent airport" which means there are barely any announcements which makes reading or just relaxing before your flight very enjoyable.
You do have to pay attention to your gates and boarding times though.

Genuinely the worst laid out airport in Europe. If you re passing through here be prepared to wait in queues and marvel at Italian inefficiency. Arrive 30-40 minutes earlier than usual, worth purchasing the priority security and be prepared for the extra security checks to delay entry to, and exit from Italy.
Landed at 16.05 from Monaco I waited by plane for 1/2 hour for the shuttle to the passenger terminal!
I found the airport a bit cold, colorless .... probably the fault of the coronavirus .... after the gates there are always the usual places with sandwiches from autogrill ... p.s. if there are other clubs, I have not seen them nor, on the other hand, they have shown themselves ...
They took our bags hostage. We've been there for 50 minutes and we haven't seen a single piece of luggage on our plane. Not to mention the interminable lines at customs ...

One of the worst airports. It s dirty, especially toilets. There is not a lot of food options inside the terminal.
This airport looks modern but is more likely a place to shop than to catch a flight as there are only few seats for the mass of people departing (at Schengen gates). Toilets are out of order and gates are announced short before boarding. As there is no waiting area (to get more shops inside the building) the queue will stretch across the whole hall and block the way.
Security was fast though and food options after it are limited (Italian and burgers) but quite good.
There are several options to get to venice but bus is (after taxi) the fastest and cheapest (8 ) way. They depart every 20 min from and to the city, all day long.

Our group of 12 arrived on several flights. Some had never traveled internationally before. All made it through customs and baggage claim smoothly and efficiently. Good basic cafes available for light fare. Plus we caught water taxis. Very cool!!
Very bad, we arrived at 3:21, and after more than 40 minutes dozens of people are still waiting for your luggage to be placed on the conveyor belt. No employee communicates anything ... In Santorini they were more organized!

For sure my favourite airport. I have landed and take off from here hundreds times. In the recent years the airport have been extended and have received a lot of modernizations. Just the closest parking area have had an incredible increase of cost. Fortunately there is a lot of alternative with shuttle offers nearby. The airport is well connected.
Landing here and see Venice's night lights is something always nice to me.
