Wow. Where do I begin? My daughter got married this weekend in Palm Springs. What should have been stress-free housing ended up being a nightmare. The trouble started with a plumbing issue in the master bedroom. We noticed the shower drained slowly, and then suddenly we had feces oozing out of the shower drain and into the shower. MASSIVE amounts of feces. We hadn't been in the house long enough for it to be our actual feces, so that made the situation even grosser. The same bathroom was also apparently home to a family of roaches. The next day, while getting ready for the wedding, our electricity went out. Now one might argue that plumbing issues, roaches, and electrical problems just sometimes happen. I agree. Chances are, I would not be writing this review if the issues stopped there. When the electricity went out, we called Acme, and they sent Cesar to "help" us. We had solved the problem before he arrived, and I told him so. For some reason, Cesar felt the need to question me about the cars that were parked on the street. Who do the cars belong to? Did I realize we were in violation of a city ordinance? Was I aware that we were not allowed to have more than one car in the street, and two in the driveway? (We had one car in the driveway, and NO cars on the street). I told Cesar that I didn't know who the cars belonged to. "Good answer," he said, as he continued to pontificate about cars, the street, and the city ordinance. Please remember, my daughter is getting ready for her WEDDING. This should be a time of excitement and togetherness, not a time to be schooled by Cesar about parking and ordinances. I asked him to leave, and went back to helping my daughter get ready. Not 5 minutes later, Cesar was back. He started to kind of apologize and gave me a cheap bottle of Chardonnay, but then continued to launch into another rant about parking, cars, and city ordinances. This time, though, he felt compelled to let me know that if "the city" came out and had concerns about the situation, we could be issued a citation, and that if we were issued a citation, we would be evicted immediately. Really, Cesar? I was not interested in playing a game of "what if" with this guy. Acme, you may want to offer some basic training for the people you hire to "help" people. Cesar was rude, aggressive, and lacking basic communication skills. We spent a lot of money to have a lovely house for our daughter's wedding weekend. EPIC FAIL, Acme.
