Lots of activities. A great place for family fun or group team building exercises. On site restaurant, snack bars, & gifts. Rafting, lake based water park, zip lining, and you have to try the mud course. Totally fun!
Lodging facilities are relatively clean and maintained, and are quaint and quiet.
The front desk staff is always available and extremely kind. The campsites are all very nice with fire rings and clean bathrooms nearby. They have a very quiet and secluded feel. The restaurant on site was also super convenient and the food was great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, only 20 minutes from the bridge!
This place is great for a multitude of reasons. If you are into white water, they have you covered. They also have an incredible staff in for all of the other activities they offer, including lake kayaking, paint balling, mountain biking, and a ton more. They also offer amazing food (every Saturday they do a hog roast in the buffet area) and again, an ultra friendly staff at all of their restaurants. If the New River gorge is your destination, this is the place.
Great resort for camping, or staying in a cabin. Plenty of activities for the whole family from children to adventurous adults. As a contracted employee who has daily exposure to all the rafting companies in the area Ace is definitely a top tier choice.
It was fun for the kids. They loved the inflatables and the zip line!! I personally was not impressed with the murky water however. It needed more airation to move the water around as it was very small man made lake. Also, I'd suggest roping off the inflatables better in order to separate from swimmers vs ppl jumping/falling off inflatables and/or providing better supervision on them. Some people were wild and silly and larger adults and kids were falling into water nearly on top of swimmers near by. I felt it wasn't very safe and it seemed chaotic with so many inflatables in close proximity to one another and many ppl on each one potentially falling in same water space. If ppl were guided to swim out of the water before others hopped onto inflatable it would be much safer. In addition, each inflatable should have a maximum number of ppl for safety. This was not regulated (and if there is a max number it certainly wasnt enforced) in anyway. It could be much better with more supervised control. I wouldn't go back as I was very nervous with my children in the water and stayed right next to them. Great idea though!! And lots of activities...just needs to be regulated for safety.
This was the greatest experience I have ever had. The activities are fantastic but the employees here make it the absolute best. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and I felt home my entire stay. Special shoutout to Amanda in the welcome center who was very patient, friendly and informative to things to do. And shotout to Tug the whitewater rafting guide. He was funny, knowledgeable about the gorge and I felt very safe! I would return to Ace not just as a customer but as a friend too! Thanks everyone :)

If you want to just have a nice time with your family, you should come to Ace because when I went it was the very beginning of the obstacle course faze and it was a blast.
Great weekend getaway for a couple, group of friends, or family trip! There was live music during dinner and fresh brick oven pizza in the water park. We'll be back with kids next time.
It was so fun! The water park was awesome and cheap. everything I love doing they have. To name a few things they have to do are rock climbing, rappelling, zip lining, rafting and paint ball.
We did the half day rafting trip and it was great ! Great guides, Chris and Kevin. The water park is huge. I would definitely recommend.

Attended the first wedding they hosted her. Did a pretty good job for being the first time entertaining a venue like that. Lots of fun for everyone!
We went on ATV tour it was fun. The staff were all very nice and professional and we enjoyed the day. A special thanks to Emma our tour guide she was great!
Water park area is nice. Life jackets in water park area are nasty and a great source for Hepatitis C. Once you get past the parking lot it goes down hill pretty quickly. RV area is a mud hole. No concrete pads, no sattelite, wifi, or cable access. Shower houses look like a run down maintenance building and I was waiting for a clown to jump out and carry me off into the woods.
We went rafting with ACE on the Gauley River overnight. Our guide, big Richard, was fantastic, the reaction was a blast and the food was fantastic! I've if my favorite vacations I've ever been on!
This place is really great minus one huge deal breaker for me and the reason I won't be coming back. They do not stop people from making loud noises and partying throughout the night. If you are trying to sleep, you can forget it. I called someone to come out and tell some nearby campers to keep the noise down several times and it never worked. I had a friend go over and ask the other campers to keep it down, still didn't work. These other campers were up until 2am partying!
If this camp ground had a more strict policy and put their foot down on people who are inconsiderate of others and choose to make noise while others are trying to sleep, I would reconsider coming back. Otherwise, no deal.
This was a great time! Did the half day trip on the lower New River. The guide made it a safe and fun ride!

Went and did the lake experience. Late August on a cloudy day and the whole place was empty...pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves. Staff was very nice and helpful. Was so much fun, would definitely do again. Highly recommend!!
Best experience ever! Rafting was beyond our expectations! Water park was a blast, even for two "old" ladies (50 something). We stayed in a Laurel cabin which was great. Definitely returning.

We booked a cabin, which was great and CLEAN! Did a rafting trip (half day) where they took great care of us, our guide Jimbo was awesome and really made us feel comfortable in the water, as this was our first time. The waterpark is a fun experience, the brick oven pizza is a must! Overall I recommend this place to anyone, families, couples, girl's trip, etc... We also ventured out to Fayetteville, they had great vegetarian food options.

Awesome camping park. The water park is fun. The tent campsites are spacious. They are a bit of a ways from the office and restaurants, which can be difficult when bringing wood and other supplies up to the sites. The bathrooms were in fairly good shape. My biggest complaint was that the quiet hours were not enforced, there were loud groups every night that would be up until the early hours of the morning, which is a problem for other campers who were going to be up early for scheduled activities (like rafting). The rafting was fun, the guides were very good. The maintained hiking trails were a bit of a let down, they were very overgrown. Overall, it was a good time. I would definitely consider going back.

Ace has a beautiful place in the mountains. Private lake with lots of activities in the summer. Good food at the onsite restaurant. Rafting with ace is always a good time too. Knowledgeable guides that provide a safe and fun trip each and every time. Ace also has a hiking trail from their property to Sweets Falls on the upper gauley river.
The water park was a blast! The children's beach was perfect for our small children while the bigger side was perfect for our older children, and myself lol. It was very family oriented and a great day for the whole family. Will definitely be going again.

Took our 3 teenagers for their first white water trip. We had the best time! Basil was our very knowledgeable, funny, and professional guide. Would highly recommend. Had a good time from check in to the ride back! Will definitely do again! 10/10
We went white water rafting as a group. We also camped for several nights. The guides on the water were great. Facilities were good. There are also many other great activities.
We had a had a great time. Be advised, it is fun but a workout! I spent a lot of time helping my smallest child(8) and his nephew (6)onto the floats. If you have several kiddos who are younger make sure you bring along helpful nannas and papas. A beach umbrella would have made this a 5 star day.
My husband and I just spend 4th of July weekend at ACE...it was great! We got a cabin/tent and it was worth the money to not have to put ours up. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We rode mountain bikes our first day there, and Katie was wonderful. She took us to a great waterfall and told us a lot of history about the area. The second day we went white water rafting down the Lower New River. GREAT!! D-Rock was wonderful. Very at ease with everybody, made sure we all had a great time. The food was excellent. The buffet at breakfast was good...but the buffet at dinner was even better! Again, we can't say enough positive things about this place. Safety is their top priority and they took great care of us. This is a definite must do again!

Very well-organized facility. Attentive staff. Lots for kids to do and adults too. Family Fun and very reasonable rates. Over-night accommodations were perfectly suited for our short get-away. Their rafting guides add to what is already an incredible experience on the river. Will definitely be back!
Very nice place and the kids always have fun and never say there bored.We buy the unlimited package for the summer and it's worth it if you go more than 3 times. You can take your own cooler and food.Always a good time and a good workout..lol

Rented a family size tent with pillows and sleeping bags for less than $50. Kids and adults had a blast playing on the lake.
The cabin tent was just okay, but the rafting trip was amazing. The food they sell was great and the staff was helpful and friendly. A must visit for anyone that wants to get outside for a weekend.

Rooms were cozy, cool, dry, and accommodations. Amenities were limited (towels, chairs, stools, etc...) The lake was very well maintained and the white water rafting trip was very well executed and thoroughly enjoyable.

This is an awesome place to stay and have fun with the family, it is a little pricey though.
We ve visited this place twice now and it s been fun both times. The adventure park is where we spent our time. It s this super cool little lake/big pond with giant inflatable obstacles and such. There s an area for smaller kids to play on their own set of inflatables as well as the large portion of the pond for the older kids/adults. There s a beach around about 3/4 of the pond where chairs are available free of charge if you can find one empty. The place is typically packed but once in the water you won t notice really. Everyone is made to wear a life jacket unless your in the roped off area. There s a zip line and huge slide that are super cool as well as a giant splash pad just above the pond. There are two slides on the hillside too but they aren t open the entire day for whatever reason. The food shops are excellent but slightly expensive and super slow. The brick over pizza is the bomb but it takes a good 30-45 min to order then another 30-45 min to get your food. They do serve alcohol so there s a plus just don t forget your ID. It s a small selection but has the majority of the brand name beers and a few daiquiris. It s a nice place for all ages. The prices to get in are ok but your better off paying for a half day if you have younger kids around 8 and below because you will be wore out by the time your half day is up. The place is massive and worth the money. We will be back every year.

My family (including people age 5, 7, 13, and 15) thoroughly enjoyed our visit to ACE Adventure, WV! The website and staff made booking a half day pass simple and easy. All of our party enjoyed climbing, diving, and playing at the waterpark!
We were so impressed with the meals we reserved online! We enjoyed a lunch well beyond our expectations (an incredible BLT and a divine salad with fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinegrette) . We thought we would book a one-time adventure. We are so excited to come again ! Great excursion, wonderful meals at Woody's (terrific shrimp!), and incredible fun!

My family went to the waterpark for the day and it was tons of fun. The life vests they had us wear made the day very enjoyable. I wish I and the rest of my family had better upper body strength but even without it we had a lot of fun.
Wonderful guides, very knowledgeable about the rapids. We stayed in a cabin, and it was perfect.
Ace offers super competitive pricing and provided a great packaged deal. I went for the full day upper gauley. Ace takes the world class rapids and puts it over the top!! Class act guides that provide great knowledge about the area and are passionate of what they do. The food is great mid day when hunger hits hard. Will be coming back very soon!

We did the Upper/Lower New River ride. Was amazing. Check in, briefing, bus rides were all quick, safe, and efficient, even with COVID practices in place. Our guide, Zack, was great. He was knowledgeable of the river, and was personable with everyone in our raft and group. This trip was a trail run to see if my partner would enjoy it. The photos we got after showed her smiling from ear to ear on every rapids. I think we will make the 8 hour trek to do this every year now. Thanks Zack, we couldn't have had a better time.
Rafting trip was great had a little dust up with the rafting guide "AWOL" but other than that it was pretty smooth
Over priced since the bathrooms are not in any shape to shower or anything. It's pretty here but I hope it's better in the peak season
