Great zip line experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful time rafting with ACE. The staff was very safe and throughly trained. The rafting was incredible , but NOT the safest thing there is to do. If they say you will see class 5 rapids you better believe they aren't kidding. Be aware that people do get injured or worse, but those are the risks involved. Make sure to have reservations as they are usually booked days or weeks on advance.

Loved the white water rafting trip! What a rush. ACE did a really good job accommodating our large group.

Be sure to request a river guide so you don't get stuck with someone who is just out of training. I would definitely recommend Bear. He has years of experience, and he's hilarious. We had a blast with him on the river.

Awesome place. Very friendly people and there is SO MUCH TO DO. All we got to do was paintball and we were exhausted. We were also able to go to the Water Park on the Lake for a discounted price but after our paintball match all we wanted to do was rest in our cabin just up the hill. If you need a place to stay they have lodging and they also have excursions. Totally wishing I could go back for another awesome weekend.

Family time was great!
Definitely not what we were expecting after seeing website. Kind of run down and cabins not really kept up as expected if you were to pay $499 per night. We had spring special so it was not that much for us. Staff was wonderful and took care of issues quickly and were helpful.
The small pond for fishing right on front of our cabin was wonderful for the smaller children.

It was obvious we were the first occupants this year, none of the windows would open, sunroom and floors very dirty, master bath need updated tub and shower as it appears very old and worn out.

Great time.. Mountain man music festival.. They did a great job!!!!

ACE has the right sauce!! Zip lines, whitewater awesomeness, climbing and repelling, and a killer water park!

Awesome spot in WV for a weekend getaway or longer. Went whitewater rafting with them and it was amazing! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place for some fun and memories!

We took a raft trip here. There is soooooo much to do here it is amazing. I had no idea! This was a blast! The staff was well organized but but not afraid to let their hair down and have fun. The lead raft guide Jimbo on our trip was the best! He was extremely impressive at his job. Do not let the dreadlocks and laid back attitude fool you. This man knows his stuff! Not only is he considered by many to be the best the New River has to offer, he is a cornucopia of history information. We learned so much about everything from the geology, history, structures, famous people, the bridge, wildlife, mining, ect. In order to have the best time possible, follow the directions on what to bring on the website. They do have a rental and pro shop on site if you need or forget something. But think minimal here. We took our trip in the summer when it was hotter. I wore shorts, t-shirt, water shoes, sunscreen (this is a biggy), and a baseball hat. Do not bring anything extra. There is little room on the rafts. Do not wear shoes you dont want to get dirty. And do not bring anything you cant live without. It can get lost. The mid trip lunch was FANTASTIC! No PB&J with these folks! It was pulled pork, chicken, potato salad, macaroni salad, jello salad, 7 layer dip, chips, brownies, cookies, veggies, and vegetarian options as well. Extremely impressive. After your trip before they load you on the bus to go back, they had beers (for adults), waters, and sodas. I really didn't know what to expect on this type of trip. I came out having an awesome time with my family and friends. What a memorable day! Highly recommended! You wont be disappointed!

Found the staff to be awesome and outgoing. I went to see what all they offered. And found they have a paintball arena. I know what im doing saturday.
P.S. the girl at the front desk is super cool but cant make paper airplanes.
For this reason im dropping my 5 star review to a 4 star. LOL!

My wife and I went up to white water raft... we did the upper part of the river.. it had class 1-3 Rapids... my wife and I are not experienced at all but the tour guides was really helpful and very informative and helped us out.... the lower level of the river is class 3-5 Rapids

All the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Our guide Archie was just great. The river was very beautiful and our whole group thought the day was fun and exciting. It was my husbands first time whitewater rafting and he said it was the most fun he's had in a long time. Would recommend!

Can't recommend Ace Rafting highly enough. We had an awesome guys trip this past weekend. Rented a basic cabin that more than suited our purposes. The cabins range from basic to deluxe and are priced accordingly. The setting is gorgeous. We ate in the dining room and the food exceeded our expectations at a reasonable price. We planned on doing the Double Upper Gauley, but due to high water we did the Lower Gauley which had plenty waves. Susan is an amazing guide. Very skillful and a pleasure to spend the day with her.

Loved staying in the black bear cabin at ACE! It was big, clean, and great for our group of 10 adults. We also went on a rafting trip with them and had an amazing time (minus those headwinds but they can't control that haha)

TUG!!! We had a great time. Learned a lot of history, very informative and chill. Made sure everyone was having a good time and kept it WET!!!!!

Tent camping ok but right out in the sun the bath houses where we were needed rebuilt water park was good the road around the area needed finished in the campground

As a former guide for ACE whitewater (over 17 years ago) this place holds a special place in my heart. The company is run with a real family atmosphere and dedicated employees that are second to none. I will be taking my own kids for the first time to ACE Resort on Sunday to enjoy the water park that wasnt even an idea 20 years ago.

I'm looking forward to potentially seeing some of the old timers like Bo or Tug and meet some of the newer generation of ACE employees. As an avid reviewer, not many places match the beauty and excitement that ACE has to offer.

Awesome facility, awesome guides (what's up Alisa and jimbo), awesome food. Everything was great!

Massive resort that offers all outdoor attractions I could ask for. We stayed in smaller cabin which was clean and comfortable. Water park was a huge hit with my teenage sons. Paint ball shop had equipment that could use some cleaning, but my gun was very accurate and field was interesting. Whitewater excursion was very well organized. I would recommended this place to anyone for 4 night stay. There is a lot to do here.

Incredible experience. The staff was great. Our guide made sure to explain in detail what was about to happen and what we were to do. I was terrified, I had never been rafting before. Lol Had one of the best most memorable times of my life. Class act all the way around!!!

Unfortunately it was cold and raining while we were here so we didn't get to do much. We did get to walk around and look at stuff. They have an awesome set up and I can see how this place would be a ton of fun in nice weather.

Went on the Upper New River Rafting trip with a group of 5 adults. We were told it would be more fun in individual duckies rather than a raft. Having been White Water Rafting several times before, we opted to try duckies for a change. It certainly was different in that there is much more paddling required when you're on your own. Overall a great time. Just load up on sunscreen if you do the duckies bc your legs will get painfully sun burned otherwise. Also if you find a GoPro Hero 5 Black in the river near where Duckie Wars are held, please contact me for a reward!

I give it a three because of the campsite. The rafting was the best I ve ever been to. The river conditions were perfect and we had a great ride. The guide was amazing. Campsite was horrible. We had 2 campsites. 69 and one next to it up the hill. The Walmart tent zippers were broken. We reported it and were told they would be taken care of. They were not. Other problem was the site itself. Could barely set up a char because of the slope. The table was completely lopsided. I had to get rocked and cardboard to prop up my stove to cook. One site had level beds. The other was a broken futon where the 2 people sleeping would smash into each other. I wouldn t do it again based off the campsite but I would highly recommend the rafting trip.

Amazing experience zip-lining. The 3 leader girls were top of the line, it was hard to say goodbye to them, they made it so fun for us!

Another great stay at ACE. Excellent overnight whitewater rafting on the Gauley. Some of the best whitewater rafting anywhere.

Went for White water rafting in Upper Gauley River. Guides and host were awesome. They made the entire trip, a memorable trip. Decently priced. Highly recommend this.

We did the lower new river 1/2 day white water rafting adventure with Ace. It was fantastic! Our guide Deserae was awesome. She was very informative and lots of fun.

11 years and counting. The food in the lounge, and the dining hall is always fresh, and spot on. We love the live music, and of course the Gauley River. It gets better and better each year!

Very expensive, they care about customers. Cheaper to buy a raft and go yourself if you know how

Amazing rafting trip, skilled guides, helpful staff, great campsites, and clean bathrooms.

Rafting was great! Cedar cabin was clean and quaint! The staff wasn t very friendly. Definitely felt unwelcome at the lost paddle bar and grill. We finally left after the waiter served the tables next to us 4times and never even had the decency to greet us.
We were ready to spend money and ended up going into town to eat. $$$

A lot of fun stuff to do zip lines, trails for walking and biking, and a fun water area with a zipline a blob and climbing stuff

What a great time. Great music last night, loved the band! Cabin was comfy, white water rafting was a blast!! Love this place, can't wait to do it again next year.

Mixed Emotions! My family and I did have a lot of fun. We love to swim and slide. However! 90% of the inflatables we're impossible for us to get on. It would be better if there was a rope ladder to assist your legs up on the equipment. As of right now You need a lot of upper body strength to get on them which we don't have. So most of the activities we had to skip out on. I tried my best to help push my daughter up on the inflatables but she's 10, 5ft tall, and 130lbs so I'm incredibly sore now. But i didn't want her left out since our 5 and 7 year olds were able to get up there more easily. Then there was the employee giving out life jackets who was very rude to us and others in line. When my pregnant sister told her to be easy on her stomach she forcefully tightened the life vest on her anyways and ignored my sister's request. Being pregnant she wasn't planning on climbing on the inflatables just wanted the life vest to swim around with her 5 year old. So it didn't need to be that tight. A lot of people were having a great time there, I just wish our experience had been better! On a good note the food was really good!

2 years running, Ace has given us a great time. Super fun guides and decent lunch for the all day trips. If you do have a question about a promotional pricing, do yourself a favor and just call.

Fantastic weekend retreat. The cozy cabins are prefect for a couple. We only had 1 problem (hot tub plumbing was leaking) and it was fixed within an hour. There are dozens of trails right in the resort as well as 100s of attractions within an hour or less drive. Plenty of places to eat within a 30 minute drive as well as a full service bar in the resort!

The experience was great from the first time I called to make the reservations. The staff were friendly and professionally. We stayed in a cabin tent which was very clean and well maintained. The restaurant and bar at the resort were very nice with good food options including a breakfast buffet. They had every outdoor recreation you could image right at the resort. The whitewater rafting was so exciting. Our river guide, "Puddin" was a true expert. He gave us a total thrill and he really knew the river. Wish we would have had more time planned. A return trip will be in our future

I love ACE waterpark. So much to do and super affordable. I was impressed with their pizza too.

This is the best activity that I have EVER participated in. My grandparents were born and raised in WV. At age 28, my fiance and I made our drive from Chicago to WV and white water rafted down the river gorge. I cannot express how safe and fun the trip was. You could sense how each team member helped one another to make each trip as fun as possible. Our guide, Tim or Tom (I can't recall) was AMAZING! He shared great historic facts and recommended a few places that we should visit while in WV. We loved that during our break, there was a mini potluck that had vegan to meat food items, ALL HOMEMADE! It was delicious. My favorite memory is swimming down down the river gorge, underneath the bridge. Honestly, the best experience ever. and the views were breathtaking.

I wish I could remember the girls name who took us zip lining but she was incredible! Also Jim the security guy is a true gem.

White water rafting was amazing and raft guides make first time rafters feel very comfortable in the water. Rock climbing against real rock fave and a water park with lots of blow ups to numb from. I will be coming back!

Tried camping on the river, but alcohol is not allowed on park lands. Ace accommodated us and our big cooler of beer. Thanks for saving the weekend Ace!

Been going camping up here for years. The fall is amazing and quiet. The summer on the pond is great for kids.

Such a wonderful concert venue! The cabin tents were perfect!

Amazingly beautiful place! Great for family, or for friends. They have every activity you could imagine, including a lake with massive inflatable recreation toys in it AND A BLOB. Seriously fun place. The staff is always gracious and more than accommodating. Camping is really good, but so are the cabins!

What a fun place! We practically had to pry the kids out of the water. Each had his own favorite part of the park. The only thing is I wish we could have taken at least snacks and water in to keep us energized and hydrated.

We did the ziplining and it was awesome and the guides Anna, Cassie, and Carolyn was great . We will be definitely coming back

Absolutely love coming here! Second time through. Did the new river with Jen last year and this year Randy Jr. took us through the upper gauley. Both of them were fantastic! I will for sure be back many times!

If you are considering doing a river rapid trip, this is the place. First let
me tell you that they are very organized and qualified guides. We did the lower New River trip with class 2 -5 rapids. We had our 15 and 12 YO boys with us and they have never really done quality rapids before. Needless to say that my 12 YO was very nervous and our guide Randy took him under his wing and took great care of our son. If you go on this trip you need to request Randy. His knowledge of the river and the history of the river made the trip that much more amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Ace and their river adventures. Can't wait to come back and do it again!!!!

ACE Adventure Water park was amazing. My family and i were blown away. Trent at the park took our experience even further when we lost our Gopro camera and he took the time to find it for us. 5 stars all rhe way.

Awesome place! The manager came out and made sure we had everything we needed. Our Boy Scouts loved the water park.

Went there for the haunted house and myst say one of the most theatrical haunted attractions around. 5 stars for that. But if your just there to be scared definitely not the scariest probably a 3 of of 5 for that. But I dont think that's what they went for . Plenty of time I felt very uncomfortable and watched in amazement. If your in town for the haunted a def must go.

We had a great time on the river adventure. Great river guides and experience!!! However. Camping experience was less than expected. Our site was burglarized and we lost over $700 worth of camp equipment. Management did not even offer us a free beer. Be very cautious if you opt to camp!

If you're looking for fun in the water it's awesome, be warned it can be a workout, totally worth it though!

I took my wife and 6 yr old daughter here in 2018 for memorial weekend and we camped in one of their tents. We absolutely loved it there and we ll be back again :-)
