One of the more incredible experiences I've ever had, the guides at ace are fantastic and I highly suggest going on a trip with them!

Great place to go whitewater rafting. Been with this company a couple times now. They have a wide range of cabins to pick from and last time we where there with a pop up camper. Large variety of guided activities to choose from.

AWESOME! Absolutely loved every minute we were there. The 4 person cabins are a little outdated and small but it was actually kind of fun. Kids loved the hot tubs and everyone loved the lake with all the water toys. Our guide for white water rafting was very fun and knowledgeable about the river and the surrounding area. His jokes were kind of lame! (Sorry Brody). We are already planning on coming back. And I can not wait.

I'm gonna lead this off with this, this place might be one of the most underrated spots I've every visited. We stayed the weekend in the areas and didn't go anywhere else for activities! Saturday we played paintball and had great staff there to lead us through doing what we did.the fields could use a little love and attention but it's not their main draw, I get that. Sunday we spent the whole day at the lake. As two 25 year old adults we had a blast on all the different obstacles and the zip line into the water was so cool! Food was good and so were the frozen adult drinks we had too! Definitely gonna be on our summer weekend trips for a long time!

3 years vacationing with ace. They never disappoint. Another great raft trip is in the books. First time on the lower new, had a blast!

We did the full day trip on the New River, it was awesome! Our guide, "Puppy", was fantastic. He has a lot of experience and knew what he was doing. He also was very knowledgeable of the history of the area. We will definitely use him when we go back.

Honeymooned @ Ace and had a total blast!!! Our guides, Joshua, Chelsea and Adam were excellent on our Zip lines! Ray was our rafting guide and was EXCELLENT!!! We ate at the restaurant was Ledley and she was polite and a excellent server

Had an absolutely amazing time rafting. I went for a bachelor party with four friends and everyone was welcoming and friendly from the bus driver to the trip leader. Dinner was great after, bar was filled with fun and energetic people.

Would like to ask Sir Davos the Onion Knight (Trip leader Craig) to rescind the title he gave 'The Trainweck Group' to.

I've been here twice now for a white water rafting trip and had a blast both times. It's so fun to sit outside one of the restaurants and watch others in the water and bounce off the 'blob.' The rafting trip itself was amazing too. The raft guides are all so funny and made the experience a blast. We will definitely continue to go to Ace when we plan a white water rafting trip.

We spent the weekend at Ace for a rafting trip and it was a lot of fun. The bunkhouse was perfect for our needs and the amenities overall were fair.

Ace was amazing as per usual!!! White water rafting on a river that was higher than normal made the trip unforgettable. This was our second time to visit and do the rafting, and I cant wait to do it again next year!

Two nights stay on their mountain top, and it was excellent. The showers were a pleasant surprise, an all inclusive single bathroom/shower that what very spacious.

The staff was helpful and attentive. The facilities were clean (relatively speaking), and over all it was a most excellent stay.

ACE took great care of us. Awesome water park. Tug was a great guide.

I have only ever been at the water park section but its really fun.

The first time we rafted in July we had a wonderful experience. But yesterday was a terrible experience, The lack of safety by the other guides when people were in the water was startling, when 8 out of 10 people including the guide were out of the boat and you see 3 guides go by without stopping to help pick up people. Then on the ride home to have the lead guy tell you to pick your guides because some are better then others. Very disappointing!

We had a great time rafting the New River. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, safety conscious, and friendly. We will be back.

Great place for kids.. Out of shape adults like me, not so much but still had a blast watching the kids. I would definitely recommend taking a trip off the beaten path and going to this place. Will definitely be back again!

It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and there is something for everyone if you love the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking gorgeous views white water rafting and just pure fun and awesome staff that will do whatever it takes to make your stay memorable. You need to check Ace out!!

The Upper Gauley in the fall is the best trip we have been on so far. We have been on trips with ACE the for three seasons. This is the first time we have been in the fall, and we have been clearly missing out. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to have a lot of fun with whitewater.

I cannot recommend ACE enough! I've been going to them for over 14 years to raft the New River and Gauley. The guides are awesome and really try to create a great experience for everyone while still remaining safe in the water. JC is the best! I've done several other activities that ACE offers as well. There's so much to do and they are great for groups of all sizes. I can't wait to go back again this year for Gauley season!

Top notch river company, from the reservations team, to the equipment folks, to the guides. This was my second time rafting with Chicken Head (Tommy) and it was amazing. We did the Gauley at twice normal flow and it did not disappoint. The river is intense but Chicken provides clear direction and makes for a great experience. Can't recommend enough!

Can't say enuf good about this place from the owners to the workers.seems they are always having good time at..which is transferred u as guest..if u want to swim they got it..if u want a real life changing experience then do a raft trip down the new river gorge..native Indians called it the river of death (but they were going down it in birch bark conoes, don't do that. ),zipline,camp,cabins,bar,great shows and don't forget to go to Mountain Fest, May 30 - June 2..some of the best live music u will ever get to see/hear, artist with glasswear,throws,paintings,food,drinks and some of the greatest people u will ever meet..so come enjoy if u do u will want to come back I bet...every year...come join us in the mountains...peace/love !

The Ace adventure resort was filled with both quality equipment and faculties as well as clean water. The lifeguards were mean though.

Very well set up outdoors resort. We went for white water rafting, zip lining, breakfast, and dinner. All we're fantastic. Guides were very knowledgeable and fun. Meals were great (especially breakfast!)

Loved the canopy tour zipline. The water park looked like a blast and was very cheap, but I noticed a sign from locals noting chemical contamination in the water from old goal industry, so maybe we won't come back to do that.

I was impressed with the resort - delicious food, a wide range of activities, and comfortable lodging. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the way the white water rafting activity is organized is terrible. ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO PAID TOGETHER ARE GUARANTEED TO RAFT TOGETHER. There were 8 people in my group, but because I paid by myself, I was considered a party of 1 and I was placed on a raft with 8 strangers while all of my friends were in a different raft for the whole day. Had I known this was their system, I would have just paid with my friends! The way groups get split up is done on the fly too, the guide looks at the list as the rafts are being set up and figures out which groups needed to go where in order to fit 9 to a raft. They should plan this better and put more thought into it in advance of the trip. How does it make sense to split up a group of 8 into 7 and 1? They could have split us in half, or even 6 and 2 would have been better than me going alone! When I booked my reservation, I mentioned that I was with a particular group (our group had a reservation name), and before we left for the river, I even told the guide that I was with them, but all he said to me come raft assignment time was "there is nothing here to indicate that you are with them". I did everything I thought I was supposed to do, but got completely disregarded anyway. The rafting itself was a lot of fun, but I was extremely disappointed and sad that I got separated from my group. The whole point of going on the trip was to experience it with my group. Now they all have pictures of them rafting and I'm not in any of them. I would go back to Ace for the rest of the activities they have to offer, but not to go rafting if that is how unorganized it always is.

Beautiful place, endless things to do. A must for anyone who likes the outdoors.

Hello, I am writing this to make people aware of our situation and the potential dangers of bringing your dog camping or to a music festival. I'm not trying to shed bad light on the property or event as it was an amazing place to camp and have fun, however we had an incident. Me and my girlfriend got hooked up with camping and backstage passes for the mountain music festival from a close friend, as we have never been there, we decided to give it a shot. We headed up Saturday morning and we are huge dog lovers so we brought our 14 year old little dog (whom can barely walk up stairs because of her age). We camped in lot A, directly to the left of the main stage at the top of the mountain. We kept the dog in the tent most of the day. Around 11 we started a camp fire which had 2 layers of rock around it, and we watched it burn down to coals. We had the dogs leash attached to a picnic bench so she wouldn't go anywhere and she was sleeping so we headed off to watch some music. We were gone less than an hour and upon returning to our campsite, the fire was completely out. I shined a light on the fire and to our dismay, we saw our precious dog, lying there, dead, burning in the fire. We asked the neighbors if they had seen anything or heard the screams of a dog. Nobody heard or saw anything. This dog has been around fires her whole life and knew better than to go near one. She would have also had to climb over 2 layers of rock, when she has a hard time going up a few steps. The facts don't add up. We believe someone may have bestowed harm to an innocent animal that night. However we will never know the true events that took place, nor will we ever get the closure we are hoping for. If it happened once it can certainly happen again. All we can do now is warn people of the potential dangers and evil lurking that night. I wouldn't wish something like this on anybody. If you bring your dog, please don't let them leave your sight.

Amazing whitewater rafting experience! Go for the Gauley river opening season in september / october and request Nathan! If its a cold day make sure you get wetsuits! Upper Gauley is top 5 in the world!

I went white water rafting on the New River and it was an incredible time! We had Jen as our river guide and she was amazing! The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The resort was a lot of fun and very family friendly.

It is definitely not like your normal every day waterpark. It is something you have to experience. We took our 4 and 2 yr olds. Wish there was more for toddlers. It's more of a 6 and up kind of park. The kids did have fun on what they could do.

Great for a get away and if you are into lakes and rivers. Cons: lodges lack proper furniture, and there are no laundry facilities. Showers are slow spickets and entirely too short for a 6'1" man.

Great place to escape to the wilderness and still have creature comforts or rough it! Your choice!

Just stopped in for future planning and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were very clean and well organized.

This is definately a place to visit with the whole family. They have a ton of different things to do other than whitewater rafting. Check out the water park with all the different blow up things to climb on, there's even an area for the little ones. You can go paintballing, rock climbing, zip-lining, the whole family will enjoy a visit here.

We took a weekend and came up to go white water rafting! We had an absolute blast!!! Bear was our raft guide and he was awesome!!! Very informative and we had a great time listening to his funny stories so thank you Shawn Garrette party of one from buffalo ny You were great!!! We will definitely be coming back!

What a trip! Everyone at Ace was really friendly. Our river guide Alice was the best! It was our 1st time rafting the Gulley. It is now a annual trip. THANK YOU ACE!

We had family in from out of state and took them to ACE. We did the water park it was a lot of fun for the whole family. We had people of all ages from 7-50 and everyone enjoyed themselves. The staff was great.

All the staff are really nice and they help with any issue you may have. I did the white water rafting which was a great time and was really fun, and I also did the zip lining which was all great with some incredible views. Overall it was super fun and very recommended.

It is more of a family friendly attraction when compared to a teenage-young adult attraction. There isnt really much to sustain a visit longer than 2 hours, but every piece of equipment there is nice and well kept. Also, the life jackets suck
