The neuroradiology department is managed with approximation, no respect for the person, useless and interminable waits, no communication, the patient has to be patient unaware of everything. They are very afraid of the URP, perhaps because they do not have a clear conscience.

Competent, up-to-date medical staff who consults with doctors from other departments for the resolution of difficult pathologies. As for nursing staff, not all departments function in the same way: in some you find professionalism, humanity, courtesy, patience in others, because of their dissatisfaction with lack of personnel, you find staff intolerant towards patients, sometimes rude and offensive , that you forget to take medication or administer care.
Having embarked on a PMA path and being outside the region, I went to the facility several times and in the last week for several days. I can say that I am satisfied with the service, apart from some delay in appointments but I realize that there are many people to follow ... And I am satisfied above all with the kindness and availability of both the reception staff and the administration and the medical and nursing staff! I certainly found myself much better in this structure despite being public than in a private clinic not far from there ... Very negative experience of a year ago !!!
I have no words, I called careggi for information, they made me wait Twenty minutes - half an hour ... every now and then a "ready careggi" started? and then Attessa's music started, then in the end an operator answered me and asked him for information, while I was talking to him the operator hung up and the music started and then reopened and talked, after which he hung up the phone .. so after twenty minutes - half an hour of Attessa in the end I could not ask for a simple information ... there is crazy stuff guys!
It is never pleasant to frequent these places, moreover the wait in total abandonment is always an anguish. Because I want to understand the cuts, I want to understand the shortage of staff, I want to understand the difficulty of dealing with this type of user (the public is never easy), but we must always and only understand ourselves. Sometimes it is enough to simply answer politely. I also want to venture and say that sometimes you just have to answer! The structure has been completely renovated, it is very beautiful, like all new things, (hoping they will last). At the reception desk of the emergency room I found a rather kind assistant, call the patient by name, I don't know if to make him feel at home or maybe just because she is not Italian, however, I repeat, she is kind. Better still not to deal with hospitals, just in case ... always hope for the best.
For me a hospital that I trust, in its services on everything ..... of course there are many good hospitals in Tuscany, but Careggi gives me security ....

How is it possible that this happened at the venerable age of 74? It seems an impossible thing and instead it's all true. Bad staff at the front office and at the triad no ability to solvong problems and stress management. . incompetent ... waste of nonsense words ... with all the graduate students organized with competent staff. ..and a shame to be treated like beggars to get news of your Car.
My mother was operated on in May for a venous arterial malformation by Dr. Salvatore Mangiafico a person of great humility and kindness, a professional of the highest levels .. His team is made up of doctor-collaborators professionals attentive to every detail, very available for any information .. I have come, unfortunately several times, both for my daughter and lately for my mom. I came into contact with several pavilions, from obstetrics to audiology, passing through S.Luca and also for psychiatry. I got the idea that beyond the courtesy and competence of the individual operators, different from time to time, the difference in behavior depended above all on the seriousness of the case: x light things, or perceived as such, service from bad to excellent depending on the operators. X serious cases or supposed such max professionalism at all levels. Without taking anything away from the other structures, if necessary my family members take them to Careggi !!

Very bad experience two cataract operations we come from outside florence at the first appointment was at 8 for pre-admission visits but warn us at 10 that the intervention was canceled and postponed until a later date ..... with many of my anger (we had done 500km to arrive) was performed at 7.30pm in the second we had the confirmation that the consideration of the patients is equal to 0 the work (visually impaired) at the control visit asked who visited him who he was and how he went and did not have any answer in the same place he was performed a incision to decrease eye pressure without the slightest warning of what they were doing .. maybe the luminaries are more talkative in paid visits
I can only speak well of the AOUC Careggi: certainly the cuts are felt, and heavily; perhaps not all the nursing staff are of the same excellent level as the one I dealt with; and maybe some pavilions need a refresh. But I think this hospital remains an excellent facility (and my family members think the same). Thank you.
Environment completely revised and updated. It's rarely a good time when you go to the hospital, but I think it's one of the best health facilities in the country.

Today, January 14, 2019, I brought my mother, an advanced frontotemporal dementia patient, for a consultation in a special dentistry clinic. Given the place and the type of patients who are forced to turn to them I expected a minimum of kindness and understanding. Instead, unfortunately I found rudeness and hardness both in the approach with the patient and with the Parente. Sin, a department that could be so virtuous is in the hands of certain characters. Shame.
Bad on all fronts, unfortunately. Zero respect for the patient, zero assistance, disrespectful attitude of the SP doctor, even incorrect information and inability to get feedback to pay after the Saturday visit they themselves planned, after an epic of three months while doing it in free profession. We have come to have to ask the police for help. Only point in favor of the kindness and availability of the very rare reception staff present on very few of the pavilions (we have shot 7 of them). A great pity that what was an excellence is falling steeply. What a disappointment to have even made an 8 hour drive to get there. It will be the last time.

I had a very bad experience. I booked in May 2019 for a allergy visit, they marked it for mid-September 2019. After the visit, the doctor prescribed me blood tests (in all, visit more than 250 euros) and told me to rebook a second visit after the analysis results. In the meantime I would have had to follow a diet without milk, coffee and a lot of other stuff that I usually ate. Back for the reservation, they told me that they have no more vacancies and the doctor took no interest in the matter.
Remarkably efficient place with the very best doctors and nurses. Yes, your appointment may be late, you may have to wait, but these are minor details. What does count is the quality of the medical care that you get in this efficient beehive !
My mother was operated on for breast cancer, during her hospital stay she pointed out a gall that had formed as a reaction to post-operative patches, the nurse on duty limited herself to medicating only the affected area without bothering to check if the remaining areas covered by the patches showed the same symptoms. At the resignation, the conditions worsened, my mother went to the nearest emergency room (serristori, figline valdarno) where the same galls were found in the whole area of the caregiving dressing, which they had already noticed during the hospitalization and disinterested. Today 10.3.2016 my wife underwent an implantation of a defibrillator in the department of Prof. Antoniucci, whose expected duration was about 2 hours. It was taken from the room at around 9.00 and returned at 2.30 pm. The medical and nursing team is excellent and professionally prepared, but do you know why there has been all this time delay, which frankly made me worry and anxious? Simply because after about 2 hours of intervention, in the remaining 3 hours an internal mercy was not available or traceable that brought it back from the operating theater outside the department to its own room. In the face of healthcare organization. Very good eye department my mom did cataract. The problem is to get to caravans and park better to go by taxi, with the car it is impossible to take a few kilometers it takes forever and with an elderly person it is not the best. So if you have to go take public transport or a taxi.

My husband Lippiello Salvatore was operated on at Careggi hospitalized in pavilion n. 16 robotic urology department. He had a cicoscopia with the reconstruction of a ileal neovescic. I must publicly thank the dott. Li Marzi Vincenzo and his team for the splendid work done for the excellent result obtained. We could not happen in better hands. My husband is 44 and we are from the province of Avellino. The nurses the doctors on the floor dr. Fontanatosa and Annalisa from the intensive care unit are all great professionals with a big heart.
