TODAY FOR ME IT IS A DAY OF EVERYTHING PARTICULAR .......
So particular that I seem to have been born for the second time. How is it possible that this happened at the venerable age of 74? It seems an impossible thing and instead it's all true. Today a long, painful phase of my life has ended and everything around me seems new and beautiful. I felt an immense joy mixed with a sense of guilt towards the less fortunate people who unfortunately their battle failed to win it. I have to be honest, besides being very happy, I feel a psychological malaise caused by 7 years of fear and great tension: No dear friend, mine is not arrogance, your statement hurts me in the depths of my being, it's just nervousness accumulated in these years of fears that I never could or wanted to make known to the people who were around me and who are close to me so as not to make them worry beyond the lawful.
I would like to thank the doctors and paramedics of the Florentine hospital of CAREGGI who have always treated me with great affection and great professionalism: Our great excellence in the field of medical care. In particular Prof. SERNI urologist, Prof. VOLTOLINI thoracic surgeon and the great MELA oncologa doctor.
