Hands down the best interest in Fargo-Moorhead. I have had them for 7 years now and probably dropped Internet 3 times for just a second. This is how internet should function. They are also bidirectional; upload and download is the same. I have been a subscriber of both 1 Gigabyte speeds and 100Mbps and both have been as advertised. Their product simply works. (My building has fiber).

Internet randomly disconnects. I mean all the time at least 20 times a day making it impossible to do almost anything with it. I know 702 will probably comment under here saying something like " uh-oh contact us at this number and we will see what we can do to make this right" but I have contacted them multiple times always assured everything is fine, it's just a bad network simple as that

I have had this service for about a year and they hooked someone else up in my apartment to my internet. Typically when I have issues I just wait a day and it goes back to normal, well this time it did not. So i called into the service help desk. Put in a work order and they said someone would be contracting me within the hour to set up an appointment to come fix it. Well 3 hours later and no call so I called them back. Now i have to wait till tomorrow for them to come fix it, leave work when they call so they can get into my apartment. So now 4 days without internet, customer service that does not stand by what it says it's going to do, they caused the issue and now I have to take time off work. I feel in instances like this a good customer service when it is the company's fault should work better on accommodating the customers hours and be over right away to fix the issue. But when I called to get their service they were over here hooking things up before I hung up the phone! Probably going to start looking for a new provider.

I have been without WiFi for four days. The support team is very friendly but seems to be unfamiliar with the modem that i am renting from them. My issue has been escalated three times now but i still have no service.

Personally i would not reccomend using 702 as a provider.

I have been with 702 for the past 4 yrs.. Due to the non payment of the bill, if your service is disconnected you will be forced to pay not just the past due but also the bill which is upcoming to forego the disconnection fee. This is like blackmailing your customer. Will 702 communications refund money or hold accountability if there is interruption in service??? They don t because we are the customers. A lady named Rachel in the billing department is a very rude person and even went on to suggest me to switch to a different service which I would definitely do. I would never recommend 702 communications to anyone in the future.

When we moved into our building, this was our ONLY...

When we moved into our building, this was our ONLY option for cable/internet. It was fine at first but as more people started moving into the building the internet got worse and worse. The building is still not filled up and we lose internet connection a few times a day at least and we are only home in the evenings. Not impressed. Cable also stopped working a few different times.

While the speed of the Internet is great, prices and customer service have angered me beyond belief. Without telling us before hand, they chose to charge us for a month and a half up front ($180 instead of $115) and then refuses to answer for it. Additionally, our bill is due in 3 days and they never even bothered sending us a bill in the mail.
Absolutely unacceptable.

Fastest internet in Fargo, and also incredibly local. If you have a problem and call them you'll be talking to someone who lives in the community. I can't stress how nice it is not be talking to a rep on the other side of the world who probably is instructed to follow a script rather than have a conversation.

Sure they have their hiccups because they don't have the same resources as big internet companies, but I am more than willing to overlook such things for the sheer benefit of promoting local internet businesses.

One other thing - BUY YOUR OWN ROUTER/MODEM. It is always inadvisable to rent the equipment. A lot of the bad reviews seem to stem around the fact that they are using 702 equipment.

They have been ok. The last 3 days I have had spotty downtime constantly. Prices are ok and speeds are ok. The customer support is ok, not great. Everything about them is average at best. They have a contract with Goldmark so I can't even get another provider in my apartment if I wanted to, a better provider like Midco.

The worse Internet provider that I have encountered in the past 14 years. Technical assistance is non-functional and the bandwidth provided seldom tops 1/3 of the advertised bandwidth. Also, their system is over capacity, causing loss of signal several times a week. They have no problem taking your money, but supplying the service you pay for isn't something they focus on.

A year later....I actually called and got technical help. I was so thankful, I made sure the tech knew it! What a wonderful change! With the local schools being out for the summer, the bandwidth is again over-stressed. The service is offered via Wi-Fi in my area and we clearly need a cable connection, something that isn't so reliant on signals from various towers and antenna's. Anyway, after 3 years, there has been improvement....if I live to be 90 I might be able to stream on Skype! LOL

I brought in my router today to have it checked out then brought it back home to test it again.... same as before. The internet cuts out constantly. It s impossible to do anything. Before the new modems my connection was VERY slow but now I can t even do anything. This is very frustrating.

If could give less than 1 star I would. I would rather go back to using CableOne, that's how bad it is. I pay for the top internet package you can get, I cant use more than 2 devices on it at the same time without one or all of them disconnecting. Calling in the morning to disconnect. I'd rather not have internet than use 702.

Worst service ever they have the poorest and the slowest internet connection and when you call to complain they keep sending you from one desk to another and even after all that Hussle still no use had to go through at least 3 to 4 days every month with no internet I wish I could just leave but they have monopolized my apartment

Honestly the WORST internet and customer service you could ever find. They are rarely helpful and the hold times are ridiculous. The WiFi is garbage. You re better off with a company like MidCo where you ll actually have functioning WiFi.

Lousy internet service. Speeds were constantly inconsistent with no explanation. The last time my internet went down for several days tech support was unable to help at all. They even claimed they weren't familiar with my modem - one I rented from them! When it came time to cancel service I was told the last bill would be auto drafted just as every bill was for the last 4 years. Not true. I got collection letters in the mail. Not even a final bill. These people are a joke.

One of the worst ISPs i've had, every day for a year there has been multiple lag spikes and disconnects. Sadly my apartment is contracted with them so i have no other options. Will be moving to get away from them. 100% don't recommend, if you can go with another ISP don't hesitate.

The service and staff feel like real people and not just a telemarketer saying things on the phone they have to say. Their prices are good! and they don't keep on upping your price like other internet companies. They have several speeds to choose from( more than what they list) For the right price for the right speed for the right person. Highly recommend

Alright, as far as speeds. Rarely if ever stops working. Was terrible to get service connected though. They connected it to an apartment nowhere near my address not once but twice before getting it connected to the right place. They were hardly apologetic either. Everytime I would call they would tell me that wasn't their department then transfer me to someone else who also couldn't tell me what was going on, verify me address, then tell me they'd call me back and never call me back.

I have a small office that utilizes both internet and phone services. I am somewhat surprised at the negative responses as we have been extremely happy with 702. When we first got our new system, there were a couple of glitches but they were handled promptly.

It is completely unacceptable for an internet provider to be out of service for multiple days without a legitimate explaination. I need internet for work and school. I didn't store 20G of data to hot spot for when my provider isn't communicating how and if they are fixing issues due to outages. It's already dissatisfying having only a 3mb package is available where I currently live. We've called IT multiple times and come across a lock on them not having access to help us with our issue. Isn't IT there to troubleshoot and help customers? Why wouldn't they have limited access to IT related problems? These question make me wonder is they micromanage, don't trust the people they employ, and there's dishonesty in the company. The locks are inhibiting IT for being capable to finish their job and come to a solution. This isn't even the first time I've come home from work and/or classes to no internet. I pay for the service of low quality and low speed wifi yet I wonder if I'll even be able to access it half the time. The only reason it's two star is for the IT department. They are very corgile, polite, and helpful (when they have access). I do not recommend this company to anyone though, at least until they do something about their approval ratings. My phone is faster than the wifi, when it works too for prospective.

Stay away go through anyone else possible if you need help diagnosing an internet issue you will have better luck talking to a wall then talking with the people at 702 if I could it would be no stars out of a 5 star review but sadly I'm stuck with them as an internet provider because Goldmark has a contract with them as soon as I move out of this appartment I will be going to another provider and will never go through 702 AGAIN!!!

Wish I didn't have to receive my internet from here. Forced to by my location because no other providers take my area. When i called i was put on a 10 minute wait and was greeted by some one who was rude. Can't wait until any other provider moves into this area.

They are not well trained and don't know how to satisfy customers. I can't wait to move to another apartment since they are the only internet providers in my apartment.

Friendly helpful staff, internet runs at 1-15mb/s when I am paying for 100 about once to twice a month. Usually speedy though. Would give 5 stars if the bogging down didn't happen at such a drastic level.

Their internet is awesome. 5 stars for that. However, their tv service is highly unreliable. The signal drops all the time, resulting in the receiver box rebooting itself. This requires you to reprogram it (which takes about 20 minutes). This happens to me on average, two or three times a week. Ive had multiple technicians look at the problem, and none of them can come up with a permanent solution. I will be switching to another provider as soon as another one is available.

I'm from the Twin Cities. Everytime I visit my brother up here in Moorehead its super slow. I've got Tmobile internet 50mbs-100. I pay for 50 but get way more speed. I'm talking 12+ things connected to my wifi. My son plays Xbox. If it was slow he would for sure complain. I do have a very fast router connected to the Tmobile router modem deal. I'd advise people to put your modem router up high and in the middle of your house. Perhaps buy a router and connect it to the 702 equipment.

I have hd dvr from them through a special deal through my apartment complex. In the couple years I've had it I haven't lost service and anytime I've had to call them, wether it be a billing question or when I moved to a different building, the customer service has been superb!

This company is a joke, a complete Mess!!! I scheduled a appointment for installation, it took up to two weeks for a technician to be available. To my disappointment, the technician didn't show up on time, so I missed the appointment. I tried rescheduling, they told me I have to wait for another two weeks to get a technician. I thought that was crazy to do, so I refused to go with them. I choose another company, only to get a bill at the end of the month from 702 communication as if their technician ever install their cable at my apartment. They don't know what they are doing over there. I won't recommend this company to anybody.

I've been with 702 Communications for a long time now. I have always had and still continue to have great reliable service. When I needed customer service, there was always somebody there to help. They re also a local business, so you know your money is being reinvested into the community. If you have the choice, go with these guys.

Garbage provider: Service was never able to be set up at our location after renting equipment from the provider. Eventually ended up canceling and subsequently received additional bills after cancellation. Also never received the pro-rated credit for the first month of payment which went unused after we canceled. Spoke with customer service after receiving latest bill and they had no record of the equipment rental or previous payments. Customer service rep was extremely professional and helped me out but what a pain.

By far the worst internet provider I had the dishonor of using.

First off the internet speed is okay in itself, but the fact is it cuts off constantly; meaning Gaming Sessions online and Discord Calls go with it.
This in itself is horrible enough, but the fact its been doing it every 2-3 minutes and can be disconnected for a good 30-45 seconds..

This internet provider is *maybe* good for surfing the internet, but if you like any sort of Gaming / Video Calls, get a different provider.

Their level 1 support is friendly and nice. Once you hit level 2 it s all bets off. I had an open case where they told me that my router was the issue, then I tested it and called back to let them know it wasn t a router issue. The level 2 support closed our case without even contacting us. We ve been without internet for 4 days 4 with no end in sight. Avoid at all cost.

My apartment building does not allow any other internet service providers for us to use so we are unfortunately stuck with 702 Communications. Since I moved in almost 7 months ago, I have been paying to upgrade our services that were provided by our apartment. Our internet is always slow and never reaches the speed which I am paying for. We have made numerous calls over the past 7 month, and have never received any help from their customer support. They never have any idea of why we aren t receiving the proper speed. Over the past few weeks our service has gotten worse and we decided to call once again. This time after almost 2 hours on the phone we are finally able to speak with a someone helpful who told us that even though I am paying to upgrade our service which is a bill I pay every month, our service was never upgraded. I am beyond upset with this company and will be getting a refund for the payments I gave without reciving the services I was paying for. Do not trust this company.

Internet sucks. I was in a three bedroom apartment. The router was in the living room and the Internet could not reach to the fartest two bedrooms. The Internet was also super slow at times. I called and told them that it was slow and couldn't reach the farthest bedroom, they changed the channel for whatever the router was on, it worked for a bit, but then didn't work again.

I cancelled the service after I moved, they told me not to worry about the bill since it would only be $2.78. I was still getting statements in the mail for my Internet for two months after I cancelled it. I called them and asked them why I was getting them, the woman on the phone was very rude and not helpful at all. I ended up paying the amount, which I'm not mad about, but I'm very unhappy with my experiences with the customer service lady and the quality of the internet.

I have the high speed internet (100 mbps) and the TV package, and I have found the service to be excellent. When I have run speed tests on my internet, it is performing at or above the expected levels. The couple of times I have had issues, they have been very responsive. I LOVE that there is no long term contract!

I've never had a problem with 702 Communications. Their customer service staff is always nice and friendly too. I've had great Internet service, even when I use a lot of Internet with an Xbox, several computers, and Netflix/Hulu Plus. I would recommend them to anyone.

The after hour customer service does not understand anything. They didn't know that 702 is Dish. We have complete signal loss on a beautiful day on both receivers. Was told it could take 24 hours for a return phone call.

Since the owner responded, but does not allow me to respond to his post. I had NO ISSUE with your employee. It is your pathetic answering service that does not know ANYTHING about the services you provide. Jeffrey was shocked to hear that you are a third party provider to DISH NETWORK, did not understand what a 611 was or what it meant when I said there were no transponders and that the hut needed to be checked. I was correct as there was no power. A neighbor also called and was treated less than satisfactory also. If you wish to contact me, instead of making a post that I cannot respond to I would appreciate it. Your answering service is obtuse and uneducated as was your response because you did not address the fact that I posted that the ANSWERING SERVICE HAS NO CLUE WHAT SERVICES YOU PROVIDE or any clue as to what they are even talking about.

Absolute worst internet provider out there. I can't wait until I can move out of my apartment that requires we get our service, or lack there of, from them. Internet consistently drops out throughout the day and stays down for 20 minutes - 2 hours. I have gone two days without internet service from them, only to be given a reference number that they never got back to me on. Upon calling support for the third time I was informed they could see no issues on their end and they considered the issue resolved. Nothing further was done to resolve not being able to connect to the internet if you aren't within 10 feet of your router.

Would never recommend to anyone. We never have internet and when we do it is so slow and constantly drops. And don't try call customer service, it's a joke. They tell you they will call you back and never do. If you wanna pay for no internet and rude customer service then go with these guys.
