Wow. The oyster po boy with beet brown butter sauce was exquisite!
Review came up twice ... still cannot say anything bad about this place... definitely worth a return visit!
One of my Favorite spots!! Food is always fresh and delicious!!! The restaurant also has a refreshing northern vibe if you are looking for something different.
Perfect place to come have fresh oysters after a day down town
Everything we had here was delicious! The baked oysters were amazing! The shrimp toast and the space potatoes were equally good!
The best experience of charleston food!!! Do not miss!!
Lobster roll, clam on half shell, clam chowder, was Great.!!
A must go in Charleston! It s worth the wait even if it s waiting for an hour. The whole restaurant only seats 24 people at a time and doesn t take reservations. The food is phenomenal- best seafood I have had in Charleston. Best po boys I have ever had anywhere! The service is impeccable, the food is out of this world fresh and delicious- you can t go wrong with anything! We had the crispy oysters, shrimp and fish tacos, lobster roll and scallop po boy. The scallop po boy is not to be missed! Finish with a slice of key lime pie! I can t wait to come back to Charleston just to eat here!!!!
The best oysters ever. Truth is everything including the staff will having you coming back no matter the wait time.
Amazingly small and amazingly good oyster bar. Seriously worth a visit and a wait.
Believe the hype!
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical walking in to 167 Raw. It s a small place with seating for about 20 so you ll definitely need to expect a wait. But I promise you that it will be worth it.
My wife and I sampled a few of the seasonal oysters, the jumbo shrimp, Pastrami swordfish sand which and a James Beard nominated ice cream cookie sandwich. I can honesty say that nothing disappointed in the slightest bit.
If you are in the area and have the time to wait for a seat, 167 Raw is an absolute must for Charleston dining.
Nice, bustling place. Friendly waiters. Don t understand every order comes with chips (?) side salad for $8 overpriced.
Very overrated fried food place. Hides the seafood with sugary sauces and is unable to accommodate simple requests ie. Food substitutions or temperature to accommodate to patrons. My wife has to ask for her scallops cooked well due to pregnancy and the cook made it seem like it was impossible. When we asked them to fix our order we got back a saucy mess.
This place is fabulous. Shrimp toast was so flavorful. Crispy oysters to die for. Mexican pudding with salted caramel & roasted hazelnuts, oh my@.
Showed up for food since all the other places we tried weren t serving dinner. Full parking meter, stood in line for 15 minutes without being talked to by the host. There was one couple in line behind us in line, and we were all told we weren t allowed in because he had 30 other people he had to fit in, even though there were only us 4 in line. No I m sorry or anything. This is the first review I ve ever left on any restaurant, but something about the whole thing just irked me.
I really can't say enough about this place. The seafood was so good. I absolutely loved the fish tacos, one of the best I have had. Small place with huge charm, and a great atmosphere. If you are in Charleston, this is a must eat here type place.
Always a super long wait, but good food and drink selection.
The best po-boy sandwich I've ever had! Such warm service!
Amazing food. Well worth waiting if they are busy, and they are always busy cause the food is so good.
Good drinks, great food
Of you are in Charleston and looking for GREAT food, this is a must visit spot. The ceviche was amazing, the oysters are on point, the tuna burger, and lobster roll we're everything I expected it to be and more.
This place made me fall in love with shrimp for the first time in 35 years.
Freshest seafood ever and Mason at the raw bar knows his stuff inside out.
We went as a 5 person group. I got the island punch off the frose menu and it was delicious. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented. We also got chips and guacamole and it was easily some of the best guacamole I've had. However, awesome food. Would definitely go back.
First time eat raw shrimps and it was delicious but tuna burger is the best. Good beer, nice service, realy recomend this place !
Great place. Our entire family enjoys this place every month. Their staff is super nice and food is so good every time.
We make it to Charleston once a year on our way to the beach. 167 Raw is our go to spot every time, and yesterday s lunch did not disappoint us. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Tacos were awesome. Pastrami d swordfish was the best More
So good. Best lobster rolls. Great atmosphere, designed space and tunes. Top 10 Charleston must eat at spot.
Very small building, so be prepared to wait. I would not recommend trying to bring a large party here. But the food is amazing. There is such a large selection of fresh seafood (shrimp, oysters, etc.) and great drinks that compliment the dishes well, everyone will find something for them.
Awesome oysters! The tuna melt amd lobster roll is to die for.
Everything was awesome and full of flavor! Halibut ceviche and tuna poke both amazing! I wanted to try everything they brought out!
The food was glorious, the service superb and the ambiance is contagious! We will definitely recommend and go back!
5 stars no doubt! One of the best restaurant experiences of my life. Our server Jeffrey delivered impeccable service and knowledge and a palpable passion for his craft. We sat facing the kitchen and the chef was talkative and friendly during our meal. He offered suggestions and tidbits about how the stone crab was still alive in the water at 2:30 that afternoon. Amazing! The lobster roll was shockingly perfect and the halibut ceviche was refreshing. I can't give enough praise to this incredibly cool spot. There are only about 20 total seats so be courteous and don't plan on hanging out after your meal. Get there, let the pros on the clock guide your tastebuds to a killer experiencen and move on so others can dig in to a wondrous meal.
OMG this place is amazing. Fresh fish, good wine, beer list. Always trust a menu that is small and varies by season/day. Fish tacos and po'boy a must.
A new favorite in Charleston, but plan ahead. Not many seats and apparently a few other people know this is a good one. Had one of the best ceviches I've ever tried. I also was also impressed in the creativity for the "pastrami'd swordfish sandwich" that I had. My wife had the lobster roll and was equally impressed. We had the added fun of sitting at the kitchen window and talking with the chefs. Great time with the added bonus of a sample of the poke!
Lobster roll was.... okay, though to be fair we just went to Maine earlier this year. But, it was just ok for the price. No chance the lobster roll should be $27 of disappointment.
Excellent seafood restaurant, service at the top, only downside that makes me remove 1 star is the impossibility to book and waiting on the sidewalk for 1:30.
Great raw bar! Nice and friendly staff with a lot of knowledge about the food. Simple and delicious seafood and good wine and beer options alongside.
Friendly staff, amazing food. Overall such a fun experience!
Everything was incredible. If you don't know what to get, trust their recommendations. You can't go wrong.
The Lobster roll and ceviche are to die for. Amazing
The food is ok, But the price and the portion size is not worth it. This was first time getting a lobster roll at this restaurant and I was so disappointed about the price, and when I received my meal I was even more disappointed about the portion. I've been to many different restaurants, and this one was by far the most disappointing experience. I paid $70 for 2 lobster rolls, 4 slices of canned pickles, a handful of crumbs that were supposed to be chips, and a lobster roll with more bread, mayonnaise (sauce) and hardly any lobster.
Hey Raw 167.... We thought your tuna burger and carnita tacos were out of this world....BUT then we had the lobster roll. All we can say is AH...MAZING!!!! And don't forget about how superb the oyster selection is....I believe the word is Epic for this place!!!!
As incredibly delicious as the food is here, I need to start with the ambiance of the new King Street location. We love EVERYTHING about it. The back/outdoor bar area is an oasis. Cheers to the expansion. We really appreciate the attention to every detail!
The seafood at 167 Raw is always fresh and consistent. I honestly can't decide what I enjoy most. The ceviche is a MUST. The tuna poke is delicious. The chips that go with both are the perfect texter and flavor. They also always have a huge variety of oysters. For entrees you HAVE to try the shrimp po'boy and the lobster roll. The fish tacos are great too!
The cocktails are delicious and creative. The staff is friendly, helpful and so much fun! And the Blueberry Basil Frose is refreshing perfection!
LOVE.
Food is 10/10
Service 10/10
We ve been many times to the old location , went to king street for the first time it s good
It s just some kitchen staff workers had masks pulled down made us feel a bit uncomfortable
My husband and I are both healthcare workers and were incredibly disappointed that you are seating people right next to each other at the bar. We came in and shortly after being seated and ordering drinks and an appetizer, you sat people on either side of us. My husband asked to be moved to an open area further down and were told that if more people came in, they would be seated next to us. We slammed our food and left as more people were being sat next to us.. The quality of the food is never in question, the food is out of this world delicious. But 90% capacity is not ok. Shame on you guys for not taking better care of your staff and patrons.
Excellent fresh food and the staff was very accommodating!
Food was terrific. Highly recommend the Shrimp PoBoy, lobster roll, and of course the oysters!
They have no seating here. Be prepared to wait 1 hour or more.
Outstanding! Best oyster po boy I've ever had. My wife had the pastrami swordfish. It was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
Five star for the food but zero for the usher/register guy. Very rude and arrogant.
Amazing food! We sat at the bar at the kitchen and the chefs were super friendly and helpful. My wife is Celiac now and they guided us through what she could and couldn't eat, and they were very accommodating. It was an hour and a half wait, but worth every second! We just went to another place for a drink and checked back. It was perfect.
After waiting over an hour on a Monday for what we were told was a 35-45 min wait, I was greeted with my wife having her order taken for raw oysters and no one bothered to ask me for 20 minutes if I wanted anything. Extremely annoying situation. My wife said the oysters were very good but the fact that it took twice as long to be seated as what they said and that I was ignored for 20 minutes ruined it for me. Drank my beer and left. Not going to reward poor service with an order that won't come out until my wife is done with hers. Very disappointed as she was excited about this place before hand. Seems like they mostly have good reviews so maybe it was just an off night for them. But for me it was well short of what I expect for customer service.
Amazing food combinations, the chefs are geniuses and have truly great personalities
I lost a very important bracelet 2 days ago and I have left multiple messages and called too many times for them to not pick up their phone or return my call. Highly disappointed with their lack of customer service.
The seafood quality is just a step above the rest. I eat fish tacos frequently and these were some of the best I've ever had. Everything we had was exceptional: ceviche, gazpacho, salad, tacos. It's very small and they don't take reservations so if you come at night, you'll definitely have to wait. We came early for lunch and walked right in.
One of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Everything was fantastic
Excellent oysters, shrimp and lobster roll. Great people watching. Fabulous drink menu. We got seated at the bar which is always nice for quick service. The wait for a table is long but lots of cute shops to enjoy nearby. Only critique is the menu needs a description on some of the items. It's a busy restaurant. The wait staff doesn't really have the time to explain every item . Plus it's a little loud to hear any answers. The people around the bar were explaining to each other what they had ordered to help others decide what to get.
Pricey but worth. Must eat for locals and visitors!
Fabulous customer service! We got seats at the bar and were spoiled and entertained by two wonderful bartenders, Alex and Elliott. We highly recommend the lobster roll, the raw oysters, and the pork carnita. Don't forget to try the Michelada and Dirty Martini while you are here! Prepare to wait, but it is well worth it. We will definitely be back.
In my humble opinion, this place was overly hyped. The oysters and wine were great, but no better than at some of the other spots we tried ( while in Charleston, you obviously have your pick for awesome oysters). The taco special was well-executed, but I guess my biggest complaint was the attitude that accompanied the service. I could have done without it.
Absolutely amazing. Worth every minute of the wait to enjoy some of the best oysters and service around.
Hands down my favorite in Charleston. The service and attention is spot on. The oysters are amazing. The ambiance is a perfect mix of intimate little bar and hip club.
Absolutely able to accommodate gluten free guests. Gluten free ciders, entrees and more.
Don't miss this place!
Favorite meal during our trip to Charleston! Pork taco was the best I ve ever had.
Delicious seafood. Located in the center of the city. Very nice to walk around after having enjoyed a nice lunch.
Delicious!
We got there around 1pm on a Saturday afternoon and had about a half hour wait for a 4 person table.
I went with the daily special sandwich (Spicy cod) and it was delicious, big enough to fill me up but not too big that I felt like I'd eaten a whole dolphin.
The service was excellent, the beer and wine list was well rounded and the prices were really reasonable for such good food.
Tad bit expensive but overall good food and atmosphere.
This place is insanely delicious. The fish tacos are the best I've ever had and the tuna burger was tender and delicious. Outstanding food.
Simply amazing. I had multiple dishes and they were all phenomenal. Best service in Charleston I have had so far.
It s all Devine. Order everything. I m a foodie and 167 is on my top 5 of Charleston cuisine.
Everything that we ordered was delicious! Great place!
best seafood ever this East coast! (well, there is Stonington, ME)... divine service, patio seating, felt safe in Covid, thumbs way up!
Amazing seafood spot! It was busy so sat at the bar. Service was great! Don t miss the shrimp tacos. Key lime pie was out of control. Great beer selection too.
Buzzing with delicious seafood. The lobster roll did not disappoint.
We had a great experience at 167 Raw. Natalie was amazing at explaining the menu to us. She was very knowledgeable and excellent on service. The drinks were tasty and food was phenomenal. Definitely would suggest for everyone to try at least once!
I have been coming to Charleston for many years now and i will have to say that this is one of the best restaurants in Charleston. The lobster roll is a bit pricey but worth every dollar. It was FANTASTIC!! Could be the best lobster roll i have ever had. Will return!
A Must eat in Charleston.. The Tuna Burger and fish sandwich are on another level of EXCELLENT. You can't go wrong with this establishment... The wait time is what it is.. I will wait any day for great food rather than no wait for good food...
