Very small but big in flavor. The ceviche was some the best I have had a sweeter version with the freshest of fish, grouper tonight. The oyster selection is very nice and changed regularly. The lobster roll has 1/4lb of meat, bigger than the bun.....and then there is the Tuna burger...no words to describe.

Menu is simple and food is on point. Can be really pricy but they use top of the line ingredients. Tuna burger is excellent if you're looking for something different. Very minimal seating so if you come at a peak time it will be a while

I was very disappointed in my experience at this restaurant. I was so excited to visit and have raw foods. The staff person at the door was incredibly rude and wouldn't even let us stand and read the source of the oysters before we got seated. We left based on how we were treated and will not return. My husband and I have traveled all over the world and dined in Michelin star restaurants. We have never experienced treatment like this before. We care about food and just wanted to see where they sourced their oysters.

Best raw bar in Charleston, by a long shot! It is PACKED at all times of the day, plan to wait between 0:45-1:15 for a seat, this place is tiny. Well worth the wait. Photo is of the fried oysters, freaking delicious!

From out of town. This place was recommended to us by multiple people. Get the lobster roll--hands down the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Small inside with minimal seating but worth the wait!

Excellent food and incredible service. We went early and we were seated at the chef's counter. My husband had the lobster roll- better than the LR I had in Maine. Oysters were incredible along with the pork taco. Plus a refreshing beer on a hot day sealed the deal. If your in Charleston this place is a must.

Found this on the Internet. Oysters on the half shell, small sweet and briny. Great lobster roll. My pinot grigio was a bit too tart and the server graciously replaced it with the perfect glass of wine with a smile. Social distancing while waiting outside and seating inside (limited seating) and staff wore masks.

I came here based off of BuzzFeed article that named the most popular place in South Carolina for tacos. While their more known for their amazing seafood, their carnita taco is AMAZING. Plus the service was stellar. It's a small place so expect to wait a bit on the weekend dinner rush.

Might have just been a very off day for them but they were rude and unprofessional. Google wait times are vastly off too- don't expect to be seated for an hour or more here during any normal eating hour (with no reservations offered, at that). Yikes.

This place is so amazing everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor! For starters we had a dozen of fresh salty oysters with a bottle of the House white wine. Followed by the fried oyster basket with the roasted corn and last was the amazing lobster roll OMG Heaven on your taste buds the butter on the toasted bread with huge chunks of Lobster meat. I cant wait to revisit them again. There was no wait we walked right in a got a seat and the customer service was excellent. Did I mention it was 9-11 and we are under a hurricane evacuation . the food was so good even a hurricane didn't keep us away! The Singletons of Charleston,SC

There seems to always be a wait on the weekend but do not let this detour you. The lobster roll and oyster basket we amazing. I definitely will be visiting again next time I am in the area.

Unreal. Every time this place is so dang good. Don t sleep on the shrimp taco. It s insane. Great staff, amazing food. As a local even this place never gets old.

Oh and by the way, the restaurant is immaculate.

The food was excellent! The menu lacks description, so when you order a shrimp po'boy, you don't expect it to be on a fresh buttered brioche roll with two sauces and perfectly, delicately fried shrimp (if only six on the whole sandwich). The bomba potatoes live up to their name! Service in our case was quite poor and the restaurant was packed, despite the sign out front saying they were limiting to 50% capacity.

Best ever. If you're in Charleston you definitely have to go and you definitely have to get their lobster sandwich a bit pricey but worth every cent. Also be prepared to wait a little bit but the wait is well worth it.

Gazpacho was excellent. Sorry we can't recommend the lobster roll....it was a disappointment since it was langostino and not lobster . We recommend the lobster roll at Pearlz for 1/2 the price.

We walked in expecting it to be just like any other restaurant, but my expectations were exceeded. I knew the moment I tasted the food I had to leave a review. I never knew there were different kinds of oysters. I had the cervache chips, my husband had the swordfish tacos, with a few fresh oysters; The food tasted absolutely amazing! Great service and amazing food! I highly recommend eating here, it will blow your mind!!

First off we got carry out so dining in could be a different experience. We ordered the recommended lobster roll x2, sweet tea x2, and a single piece of key lime pie. Everything was good but not great and definitely not worth the almost $70 we paid. Our stay in Charleston was short and for that amount of money I think we could've gotten more bang for our buck.

3 of us had lunch in the first week at this new King St. Location. The service and food was as if they had been there for months. Our server was well informed and did a fantastic job pairing wines with our food. We enjoyed the cocktail and wine offering. The food was fresh and done well. Between the the 3 of us we shared appetizers and entrees. All were scrumptious. They were very crowded but the wait didn t last longer. Love the new place.

Good was good but when I saw the chef massage another chef's neck and the base of her scalp, and then go right back into preparing food without washing his hands I felt sick. I can never go back after seeing that.

Really glad we made it here and it's definitely worth the wait. Amazing lobster roll!!! Very friendly staff that helped with suggestions to other great local spots for food and live music later on our trip.

Excellent service and recommendations from the front of house, followed by a fantastic presentation from back of house. Don't let the line to get in discourage you. Raw is top notch and worth the wait.

Definitely worth the wait!! Lobster roll lives up to its hype, shrimp po' boy was awesome and a perfect beer and wine selection to round out the experience! Kitchen staff is first rate! Highly recommend!

We got very lucky and just happened by this place on a stroll down King Street and were able to be seated immediately for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and all very knowledgeable about the menu and selections of the day. The fresh guacamole was a great way to start and then we proceeded to dine on fish tacos and a shrimp po boy both of which were excellent!Next time we will plan to take on some oysters as we enjoyed sitting at the raw bar watching them being expertly shucked. Would highly recommend 167 Raw! And oh yes, the 167 Lager made locally for them is a great lighter beer that worked well with lunch.

Very small but charming place. Excellent and very friendly service. We actually sat right in front of the very small kitchen. Husband had raw oysters which he said were well curated, delightfully prepared, and delicious. I had a fish taco which was delicious. They do double tortillas and put guacamole in between the two which was a nice touch that I had never seen before. Definitely worth a trip and a wait which is likely necessary oven the small space.

We were in Charleston for 3 nights and this was our favorite meal the entire time. We started with oysters and then shared the daily special crudo, Ahi Poke, and a lobster roll. Everything was super fresh and prepared perfectly.

Tip: Dishes are easy to share! Highly recommend ordering a few things and sharing everything.

Tip: They don't take reservations and it's popular. Plan to order a drink and wait for a bit.

The wait is a bit long but is totally explained by the size of the dining area, seating is limited but really cozy. My party of 5 waited an hour and 45 minutes although I was quoted 1 hour 20 minutes (although this was mainly due to a Birthday party with 14 guests).

The food and service was bar none worth every minute of wait. I am from AZ and would travel to Charleston again just to eat at this establishment again.

Food: Amazing!
Service: Great!
Wait for Table: would wait as long as it took!
Highlights: Lobster Roll, Fried Oysters, Swordfish Pastrami Sandwich, were all out of this world!

Best oyster in Charleston and the lobster roll I have ever had!!!! Even best than the lobsters rolls in coastal Maine. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, service was fast and exceptional. The guacamole and homemade chips were amazing!

Oyster po boy was superb! Roll was fresh and deliciously toasted, oysters were perfectly breaded and melt in your mouth , sauce was perfect complement in flavor and color. Best I ve ever had. Service was great.

Our waiter Brandon is horrible!!!! He asked us if we been here before, we said no and then walked way, but spent a lot of time at a table full of women. I felt like we are not welcome. I m literally sitting at the table as I write this. Heard amazing reviews ate at the location on the east coast and it was amazing. If you come here don t get Brandon!

Top seafood and oyster bar in Charleston. A wide variety of types that change ever day. All oysters are freshly caught the day prior. The lobster roll and tuna burger are on another level. Tender and perfect portions. Staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend checking this spot out. A very popular place and you may have to wait, but it will be worth it.

While I'm sure the food is good, I can't support a restaurant that chooses to not adhere to any guidance around social distancing. We waited for an "outdoor" seating table only to be taken through an overly packed restaurant to a back bar where were were seated right next to two other patrons. The restaurant looked like a packed Saturday pre-Covid. People were sitting elbow to elbow at the bar, tables were not distanced at all. We ended up leaving, but no one seemed to care why we left.

Clearly the people who chose to stay and eat there don't care about social distancing, or all of the other restaurants out there that are struggling because they are adhering to guidelines. It was disturbing to see and a reflection of why we as a nation can't move past this virus.

The buzz in Charleston is that 167 Raw is the new king of restaurants. Incredible atmosphere, trendy drinks, great service, amazing food...what more do you need to know? Though we already had a go to restaurant for oysters and seafood, we decided to give it a try. When trying something new, I read the reviews before hand but still keep an open mind. That said, I was amazed. Not only was the food great, the drinks were phenomenal too. We were there during peak hours and the restaurant was slammed. Nevertheless, the staff was on it. We never waited for any of our food or drinks. And if that wasn t enough, the staff was fun. We did t want to leave. Needless to say, we have a new go to . If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable experience, treat yourself to 167 Raw. You won t be disappointed.

I'm a local. Love the food here and recommend it to all visitors and our STR guests. Highly recommend the lobster roll. Also, guac, tacos, and poboys are delish. There can be a long, long (as in 2 hour) wait even at the new, larger location so suggest going at off times (lunch, early dinner and week nights vs. weekends). One of my favorite times to dine hear is late on a weekday afternoon with a girlfriend or two.

On a side note (direct feedback to management), the service isn't what it once was. The last time my husband and I were there, it was a Tuesday evening a weeks ago, my birthday, and the server was pretentious and snubbing. His attitude took away from the dining experience and the festive occasion.

Good food but way too pricey, took way too long to get anything.(even a water) after over an hour wait packed 7 of us at a 4 person table then told us it would be 45 min more to get a table big enough for us....

We finally decided to deal with the 1 hour wait and try this place! Glad we did it, but minus 1 star for the waiting procedure (they don't take your # down so u need to be tethered to the bench). But once we made it inside, it was delicious! Just how I imagined fresh seafood along the coast. Lobster roll, seared tuna sandwich and opah crudo was so tasty. My husband said this place had the best oysters compared to other nearby restaurants. Disclaimer: I don't eat oysters right now. Definitely worth the wait if you can..there's no other seafood place quite like this in Charleston.

Happened upon this place at the recommendation of a friend. Glad we came! Food was amazing!

Pros: great food! I had oysters with the shrimp po boy. This did not disappoint! The bread was buttery and flaky with the perfect amount of crisp. Shrimp perfectly fried. Yummy yummy yummy. Oysters were delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented.

Staff super friendly.

Cons: the inside is tiny. Only about 20 can fit at a time. They were packed. Service was a bit slow and I was starving. But it was worth the wait.

Fantastic food but we were hustled out the door as soon as we took our last bite. Oysters were about as good as they get but if you're looking for a spot to sit and enjoy dinner, this is not the place. I will not return.

Impressive Old school service steak house! From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, felt like celebrity guests by all the employees. The food is great. The back of house crew is killing it. Highly recommend the scallop po boy. Our server was pretty solid... but the rest of the servers and host seem like they don t really want to be there. It sort of kills the atmosphere - at least it did for us. They re not rude or anything most just seem to sort of disinterested to what s going on around them. Maybe we caught them on a bad night... who knows. We did see a table get up and leave, but to be completely honest they made a mistake letting a lack of patience get in the way of a great meal.

Dillan and team are just superb!

Local bar, not fancy, but yet uplifting and the food is just remarkable.

Lunch date with wifey on our 14th anniversary.

Only silly folks write negative reviews about this place.

5 stars for sure! Thanks, Ruben
