This Arch is by far the best thing about St.Louis!! I saw it from every place I visited in St.Louis and ended up seeing it from every angle except from up top which can also be done via helicopter tour.

Just an advice for people who want to do tram ride to go up the arch: there are two options. You can do the north tram or the south tram! There is basically no difference in terms of the view for both sides, they will end up at the same spot. However the difference is, you can pre book the tickets for the rides in advance the day before for the north tram but for south tram you have to Book it the day of! So if you have limited time, try to book the tickets in advance on their website!! When I was there the first day, all the tram tickets were sold out and we had to return the next day!

Also another major thing to keep in mind is that the tram is small and very closed tight space! So if you are someone who is claustrophic or get panic attack's in closed spaces, this is not for you!!! The tram ride up is like 4 mins and 4 mins down so you do spend quite a bit of time inside the tram!

There is a 5 minute movie before you go up on the trams! And then you will most likely spend 15-20 minutes on top taking pictures. All together it took us about about 40 minutes for the whole experience of going up the arch!
