They just spam me with calls. That's it I owe nothing

I avoided calling this number back because of all of the bad reviews. I called them today and the lady was very nice, asked what phone number they had been calling, I gave it to here and she gave me the name of the person they were looking for. I was close to my name, wrong MI and old last name. Skip tracing...this must be like a final call kind collection....they are really reaching on the skip tracing.

Took my money for a ticket that I did not agree to pay at the time and refused to help me three different supervisors

The worst, paid a bill. Months later still getting a bill plus interest! What gives. Mess with my taxes now I have to hunt it down all because of their slack and lack of professionalism. Don't just take the money, finish the job!!!

got a letter addressed to loingu dougherty with the persons social security number and other personal information on it. Called them up to tell them that I've never heard of the person and stop sending me people's personal information

The guy demand to speak to my manager. This was a call to my house. I tried to explain to him that it was my home and got back a string of obscenities.
I'm not sure who these scam artists are and how they can possibly be in business.
If they call you I would hang up and block the number.

What is with the five star reviews. This is NOT an honest debt collection agency. They take old uncollectible debt and call people with the same or similar names. They ruin people's credit reports who have similar names to the debtor and attempt to extort payments off the innocent by threatening them.

I realize it may suck and you have to take any job you can, but everyone who works their should br arrested

Contacted this company and was offered a settlement of an old debt. However they refused to remove it from my credit report after payment or send me a letter confirming the agreement. Doesn't seem like they are really trying to collect the debt when I was willing to pay it.

Received a collections notice for a bill I paid. My attempts to straighten the matter out resulted in my being screamed at to "PAY IT OR DON'T PAY IT!!! and hung up on. Great collections works. Top notch,

Dealt with them in regards to my wife and her college tuition. The school said she longer qualifies for financial aid so the total would be on us. We received a letter from St. Leo University stating that we owe $5,128.05 on May 22,2018. Today is 09/07/2018 and Penn Credit is now in charge of the account. The new balance (non-negotiable) is $6,153.66. That's $1025.61 difference, 20% for 3 phone calls to gather my info and to make arrangements for payment. That's absurd. Highway robbery at it's finest.

BTW, Freddie the manager/supervisor is a douche over the phone. Hopefully you don't have to contact or deal with him.

Not sure why I get calls from this place. When an actual person calls, they leave voicemail for someone I do not know. I have let them know repeatedly they have the wrong number.

Very rude call center staff who brushed my concerns aside and acted like I was stupid for not trusting them after being told my identity was stolen.

A misunderstanding regarding a hospital bill caused these guys to reach out to me. Despite the frustrations of the system, I called and spoke to Brandon and he was very kind and patient in checking the status of my claim until I got all the answers I needed. It's a rough line of work, and someone's gotta do it. Don't shoot the messengers.

Never in all my life have I dealt with rudeness as bad as this company. I told them I wanted to start making payments on a bill that was technically my ex s. The lady got smart with me and said the amount I wanted to pay was unacceptable. I then said well it s better than nothing. She again got smart and kept telling me my call was being recorded. I then replied with.... I sure hope so!!! This is getting only 1 star because it won t let me give 0 . You d think they d be a little nicer to someone who s trying to pay off a debt !!!

Call to say I have already paid this bill directly to company and the guy doesn t seem to care. I will not be very happy if they still make me pay their bill as well since I have paid it already. The guy didn t seem to know what he was even talking about.

How has this company been allowed to remain in business? I was visiting my parents and saw this number come up several times on their caller ID. When I answered the phone there was no response. When I called the number back it rang twice and then cut to a message that all operators were busy and the call terminated. When I looked through my parents' call history these people have been calling every 2 days at 9:00AM and 1:00PM for a couple of months. They never leave a message. Today they called 4 TIMES! My parents are seniors and they are very financially responsible- they DO NOT have any unpaid debt. This is harassment and I am reporting them to the FTC .

They are the most unprofessional company . My son was trying to make arrangement to get his license back but they wouldn't , if he get fired he can't pay them at all for his court cost what do driving have to do with a debt.

Horrible agency. Extremely rude! Not helpful.. Had wrong information. I have three text tags and they sent me a collection letter under a different account that is not mine and telling me I owe $103.65 for a $9.00 toll. I have had to call Tx Tag twice, not help, then Central Texas Mobility Authority and no help. They are telling me this is my account and on line and ALL the paperwork I have shows completely different information.
Customer service is not a title here They are harsh, rude even a little hateful. Good luck in dealing with them

I had a debt that I had missed during a difficult time period of life. It was handled with kindness and with cooperation to make the situation work for both of us.

Received an obviously fraudulent "request for payment" on a bogus utility bill from 4 years ago. Not only did they have the name of the utility company wrong, but my account info as well. When I explained this to the CSR at Penn, she hung up on me. When I called back to further explain why I feel this is an attempt to collect a bogus debt, I was hung up on again.

The receptionist, or whoever answered, is extremely unprofessional. Their company made a mistake, had an address for a late service on the bill but shipped the letter to a different address, my address, by mistake. However, the woman who answered was extremely rude, literally did not let me finish a single sentence without trying to interrupt me, and I'm pretty sure she didn't apologize even once for the inconvenience of me having to call in. She also acted like me asking why my address was associated with this other address that had a late charge was an absurd question. I don't even know what this other address is or who the people are. She said at the beginning of the call of the calls are recorded, I sure wish somebody would listen to that one

Left one star because I couldn t leave zero. This organization is the least professional, helpful or accountable business I have ever encountered. I called them twice questioning a bill that only they say I have. I heard nothing from the original provider or from 2 health insurers that supply me with coverage. I spoke with 2 reps and 2 supervisors and received no adequate support or answers to my questions. i was only advised to call the original billing agency. I let them know I had already called the hospital where I had received some service from and it wasn t their billing agency. They all hung on me when I pressed them about what their responsibility was in fraudulent billing or what they could do to assist a customer. Terrible, must say I was angry too, and I expect to get some threatening phone calls which one their agents said she would have to do. I know that is illegal. Well change my mind, one star for being real people not just an answering system.

Zero Star is not allowed. This is a fraudulent operator who has refused to cease collections for debts I do not owe and returns certified mail demanding that the cease and desist under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The State of PA must be getting kick backs to allow this scam to operate.

This is such a DISHONEST COMPANY! Set up billing they can only take so many payments. IF YOU DO NOT CALL BACK in they report to your credit. WHEN THEY ARE THE ONES TAKING THE PAYMENT! LIARS!

Received a letter of collections from this company today and called to confirm the debt. The guy who answered the phone was rude and unprofessional, cut me off mid sentence and had an attitude when he spoke. Even if the debt if the legit, makes me not want to pay a company who trains their employees to be rude when dealing with people.

They call my house number every day, multiple times a day. I'd day at least 2-6 times, depending on the way. They are harassing everybody it seems. I am disgusted with this company and something needs done about them! Harassment is not cool! I'm going to try and find out if there is a way to block this number. These people make my blood boil. We never answered the phone one time, not once and they just keep calling, and calling, and calling. Ugh! Might have to change my number because of these ignorant harassers. They shouldn't do this to people! It's disgusting..

Refuse to provide any documentation of the debt they claim I own and hung up when questioned about their contract involving a private run prison and failure ensure that the company follows and also their own company followed debt collections laws. When questioned on the deceptive and illegal actions being overlooked and done. The manager on shift hung up on me .Rather than collecting information and investigatimg allegations I brought to their attention. I am filing a.complaint with attorney generals office of consumer protection also

Like all the other reviews on here I received a paper in the mail stating I owed $75. I called Penn, gave them my ID number on the collections bill, and then they asked for my first and last name because all that was listed on my "file" was "(last name) residence". I told them if a business reported me for owing them a debt they sure as hell would have my name. I then asked who had reported the file stating I owed them money and the representative said "we don't have that information either". Are you kidding me? Hahahaha. Scam! I feel sorry for the people who have fell victim to this company. I WILL be reporting them!

I used to work for this company. They treat their employees as bad as the people they call on the phone. Most of the debts collected are for scam mail order companies that prey on the elderly. The whole company is shady and the owners especially are slimy individuals. The world will be a better place the day this company goes out of business.

Please Please keep calling and Harassing my number for someone whom does not live at the number your looking for. You wont be the first nor the last Debt Collector I have Sued and will gladly oblige to do it again. I owed a traffic ticket for $245 I called them to make a payment May 13 2020 the payment was received but my payment has not been received by banks county probate court i called for 3 weeks straight and its still not fixed i've spoken to 3 different managers Jeremy, Scott and Sean no can seem to tell me why my payment i have made was not received my the court

They Reported a balance to credit bureau and now I'm in the process of disputing it!

This place is terrible. I have told them a thousand times I have NEVER lived in Pennsylvania, yet they insist on screwing my credit for their lack of investigation, even after I proved I never lived in that state! Be careful what companies come after you because of Identity Theft

I give a star because zero star is not allowed. I asked to speak with an agent in the Spanish language, as I prefer to do these matters in my first language, and he was the unprofessional person I have talked to in 7 years since I came to the United States. First, he didn't let me explain why the call was made. Since by mistake of I don't know who, there is a person called almost similar to me and he owes thousands of dollars for tolls that he did not pay, and they are sending that charge to me. This agent DID NOT ALLOW ME to clarify that I am not that person, and they are harassing me by sending me letters now and before.
About three years ago, I already had to clarify this mistake with them, but it seems that they did not amend the matter. I had to call in English, and at least the lady who attended me was more patient, and I was able to clarify the situation.
Please, train your employees better. And since I have nothing to hide here publicly, you can see my name and my email.

I m just leaving a 1 Star because they constantly call my cell phone # at work or when I am busy. When they call they refuse to tell me who they are and why they re calling. They answer and tell me I can call them back when I decide to give them my phone number and hung up on me after giving me a nasty additude!

Horrible company. Wont stop calling and refuse to give me any information until I provide them with personal information that I refuse to share. Huge red flag to me. This vile corporation has been robot-calling our Vonage phone number for months trying to contact a person I've never heard of. There is no option to speak with a human so I can tell them the person is not at our number therefore we continue to get calls at all hours, weekdays and weekends. For this reason alone, I would never have any dealings with them.

Took more than the settlement amount i m confuse. before it took the payment it held my debit card but didn t give me receipt confirmation and I then check my card a week after because I thought it just took off for the amount I seen but it took more when I final call my card . I wish it something I can do about it because I have no job and that kind of hurt my pockets this company don t seem legit to me at all now. Very unprofessional, one of the first things they asked for was her social security number and my mother said she has to know what it s for and so then she said no. And after that the lady said why? and them my mother responded with Well mam, I can t give this to you until I know what this is for. and the lady replied with Only call this number back when you are ready to give us your social security number... I got charge you extra $54 fee on top of what I already had to pay for my ticket. This place is a rip off.

This has to be a scam. My husband got a letter in the mail for a ticket in a county that he never has been to. He called and the lady gave him a license plate number that had to many numbers and not any of the license plates that he has ever had. She then told him when it was and in what car. Said 2015 in a car that we sold in 2014. We called the DMV and they said that there is no license plate with the number she gave us at all.

They let employees bully other employees and lets them write hurtful notes and nothing gets done!!!!! They hire immature people and dont care about all employees I will never work there again!!!!!!!

This is the most unprofessional company that I've ever had to deal with. They've triple charged me on fees that I didn't even incur. I finally called them months ago about an electric bill they say I owe from 2016. I told them that I never had an electric bill in my name during that time frame, they said they d look into it, now I get a phone call every single day and a letter in the mail at least once a month sometimes more. They won t tell me the electric company it was. I don t even know how they have my phone number because I changed it since then. It s ridiculous.

Completely unhelpful. I called TRYING TO MAKE PAYMENT, as long as agreed to report it to the credit bureau; and was told no. I have now emailed them three times and have yet to get a response. Company that is quick to destroy your credit, but not quick at anything else.

Received an anonymous call on my office phone # at work. When I called back the agent answering the phone wouldn't tell me why he was calling, he just asked me to verify who I was and wanted me to provide a lot of personal information. I eventually got that he was calling from Penn Credit. When I asked about what services they provide, he told me to have a nice day and hung up the phone.

Sent me a collection notice for over 600 dollars regarding tickets that had been dismissed last year.

Time to contact the Feds /FBI on these dirt bags

Since we have no credit issues, the calls could be for someone with the same name at a different location. Penn Credit female, "Destiny," doesn't care, Penn Credit Corporation just keeps on a callin. Also reporting to FCC. We don't use caller ID, though we do record our calls because our state allows that. All states should, by the way ~

I m reviewing a debt collection company?! Well yes I am! I spoke with Jeremy about a situation that I was unaware of that got out of hand. Thank you for understanding! Jermey was professional and nice to talk to under the conditions. Jermey even gave me a heads up in case the situation happens again.

The customer service agent was unprofessional and rude. I didn't even know that I had reached a legit business because she answered the telephone "hello." I had questions to ask her regarding the timeline of my debt and her response was an unenthusiastic "I don't know, ma'am."

Update: Called them back and spoke to Rachel. She was very polite and professional as she assisted me with my payment. She is the only reason that they have two stars.

Added a collection to my credit which wasn't even my debt. Paid it in good faith and was told they would remove it if i did. Still haven't removed it and there customer service sucks.

They don't give proof of payment.. almost seems like a scam. Going to pursue legal action
