The hotel impresses with its location and, above all, with the view of the cathedral, provided you get a room with a view of the cathedral. The spa area is small, but well-kept and sufficient. The breakfast is varied and delicious. However, the room itself is not a highlight. I can confirm the "musty" carpet from one reviewer, the bed also seems too hard (a matter of taste) and the furniture seems to be showing its age. With my 1.90m, I just fit under the shower head in a shower tray. Setting the water temperature is a matter of luck and precision work. The air conditioning only does a good job at times and if it does, then only at an annoying volume. What is not okay at all is that despite the booked LATE CHECKOUT and the "Please do not disturb" door hanger, we were disturbed at 12:15 with the question, quotation in the wording: "WHAT IS NOW TO CHECK OUT?" - Do you not maintain a guest list at Radisson with the rooms that book this service separately? In addition, no one took care of us when the glass elevator on the ground floor got stuck and the doors no longer opened. Despite several horns and visual contact with the reception, nobody came to "free" us. After 5 minutes I pried open the door myself and the automatic system seemed to work again. Apart from that, I had to go to reception 3 times in 2 days because the key cards no longer worked. Parking costs 22 / 24h in the in-house parking garage - that's fine!
We will choose a different hotel on our next visit to Berlin. Nevertheless many thanks!
