First a note to those leaving reviews, be sure to also go to Better Business Bureau and leave comments there. Here are mine already there:

Well, I've been forced by Sun Power to use this company for warranty work. Nothing has gone right with them in 3 visits. The first visit wasn't great in that the tech doing the work dropped his drill on my solar panels and per Sun Power policy he should have documented it and taken a picture. That didn't happen, but at least I did my due diligence and called and documented it with sun power for them I guess. The second visit was the same techs and went a bit better, however after there 3rd visit, I feel I am leaving an accurate review with this low rating. For visit #3 they were set to install 2 inverters to replace my current one. In talking to Sun Power, their assessment of what was needed for the job was through and sent to SunSystem for the installation. So, then someone at SunSystem didn't read all they needed to bring to do the job...and the tech drove 3 hours to get here and say he wasn't given all the correct items (cable and conduit) to get the job done. WHAT?!?! What really doesn't get then a good rating is finding out today that they won't schedule to come back until the parts are ordered. ORDERED?? The items they need to install with are standard items for installation that a solar company should have on hand OR if not that...available at any hardware or electrical store!!! Based on the lame conversation I had with the company, I have no feel for how long "ordering" will take, and no feel for when I will get schedule for a 4th visit. I'm not surprised and just not impressed. If you wonder why I give 2 stars instead of 1 it is because of the work they did on Visit #2 to document the problem. As dismissive as the techs were on the first visit, they did better on the second to help out moving my problem forward with SunPower. That is the only positive thing that I can really say. Oh, and also be ready for when you call to ask questions that rely on them looking on the computer, just know there will be "computer issues" that keep them from being able to get that information to you. I hear that reply regularly when calling. I will say that most of my encounters with the solar outfits around Sacramento haven't been impressive. My recommendation to folks is pay attention to reviews. You want your solar installation done right with quality products. You don't want a company that doesn't know what they are doing. The frustration that comes with people doing poor work isn't worth it.
