We had a really great week long stay. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was wonderful! There were no pushy sales people trying to get us to buy a timeshare. In fact no one said anything to us about it at all during check in. When checking out we were offered another stay if we attended a presentation.
But again, he wasn't pushy about it at all..The villa we stayed in was up-to-date and super clean. The amenities were wonderful. The resort offers so much that it became a struggle to leave the property. The kids loved the pools and game room. The gym was nice and we loved the different movies that they played in the theater room.
The only cons I have is that the people above us were noisy. A lot of thumps and bumps but we were so exhausted by the end of the night that we still slept peacefully. The complimentary internet service was absolutely horrible. I could barely get any signal at all. And last con would be the food on the property was not worth the price at all.
Other than that, it was an amazing stay from start to finish and we will definitely book this resort for our next family vacation!!

The pictures they display are not what you see when you get there. I stayed in the hotel, not the condos or houses. But even the hotel is soooooo blah and cheap. Not 1 picture hung on the walls in the room or the entrance. The smell hits you as soon as you walk in. It's very basic like motel 6. Paper thin walls. I could hear loud spanish speaking all the time. The check in process was a mess! I was sent back and forth 4 times between the hotel desk and the welcome center(you have to drive there. It's far) just to check in and get my room. None of the pools are heated or saltwater like they said. It was freezing cold water even though it was 90 and sunny. The paddle boats couldn't be used because they were sinking...literally sinking. The gym was nice but the lockers were just for show and didn't work and several machines didn't work. Even the clock on the wall said it was 6 o'clock when it was 11am lol. They really do not upkeep the property and it shows. I would never buy a timeshare at a place like that.

We absolutely love visiting Summer Bay in Orlando. It s resembles a village with frequent transport to the very local theme parks and a supermarket at the edge of the resort.
The price is still very good value. It has doubled It s rates in the last 4 years and clearly this has been invested back into maintenance.

It s Such a great place for a family holiday, with Multiple heated pools to chose from, a fabulous children s waterpark area and a zip slide. My son was accompanied on the zip slide for his first ride. Such amazing supportive staff who go out their way to help.

The first time we stayed in the hotel. I prefer the self catering apartments. Its perfect for a family.

I had booked this Resort through Expedia, for my husband and I for my birthday. We stayed Feb 11-16th, and it was awesome. Our flight had been canceled and I called the resort right away to let them know we were going to be checking in later than expected and they were very helpful and understanding. We had arrived at 2:30am, so exhausted, and they were just so helpful. Our room was a Luxury Condo, which was very convenient with a kitchen washer and dryer. Very clean and comfortable. I like the fact that they also had 3 different pools and a bar, not to mention they also had Starbucks in the main lobby ( my favorite ). My husband and I will definitely be coming back again. They also helped us out with our tickets to Disney and Universal. Thank you guys !!

Very confusing stay. They forgot to tell us about a bunch of things that we were allowed to use. They lied about shuttle service. They didn t give us our resort credits until the last day when we went and complained. Very dull and boring rooms. Would not stay here again. And there was a weird worker laying outside of the elevator all day. Not working. Just laying. Seemed like a drug addict. And the views from the rooms are terrible.

The location was great becuase of how close the resort is to all the parks. That is one of the only pros I can give it. The floor was so dirty it turned my niece s feet and knees black after 30 minutes. Everything that they have to offer on the resort you have to pay for unless you sign for their membership except for the pools. The appliances were horrible for cooking and there were very few utensils and plates/bowls. And you only get one complementary cleaning before they charge you $75 per cleaning after. Only hot water came out of the sinks. And upon checking in, they lost our reservations so we had to wait until they found them in their systems. I would find somewhere else to stay.

Fabulous accommodations make this resort a wonderful place to stay close to Walt Disney World. The living area is spacious with 2 large bedrooms and 2 full baths. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances plus a washer and dryer. The property includes two beautiful pools and a waterpark area for kids.

I do not normally bash places if we have had a bad time but this is he worst place to stay and I will tell anyone who will listen to never go to your resort!!! Last December we stayed at your place for our one FAMILY vacation. My husband can only take one vacation a year and we choose to stay here. On our second night there I took my children to your 24 hour pool at night time and STEP ON A RAZOR BLADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats right folks there was a razor blade on the ground by the pool and i stepped on it. It broke in half in my foot. I had to go to the hospital and get stitches. It ruined our vacation! I was not able to walk on my foot and wasn't able to swim in the pool with my children. If this wasn't bad enough your staff has done nothing but treat my family like crap. Made it like it was our fault this happened. I just got a letter in the mail you denied our claim and I'm so angry! I don't care if you clean your pool grounds many times a day. The fact is there was a razor blade on the ground at your properties. It was not my fault i walked from the hot tub to the chair and stepped on it. You are so LUCKY one of my children didnt step on it!!!! I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I suggest no one ever stay here or if you do try not to get hurt on their properties because they will push you aside and treat you like dirt!!!!!!!

We are owners and have been coming here for years. We were very disappointed this year when we arrived and were informed the pools are no longer 24 hours. This was something my kiddos really loved and always look forward to. Also not pleased with the bugs in our unit. There is a gap in the door from the master to the balcony and allows insects to get in the unit. We will end our streak and try someplace new to vacation next year :(

This was just one of the most overall worst experiences I have had staying at a hotel/resort. The minute you check in, you re hounded about a time share presentation. They promise you it will only be 90 mins. It took over 3 hours. I kept telling the individual no. And then he would come back with another offer and I would say no. This went on a while. The gentleman then proceed to question my ability to put food on the table because I didn t want pay whatever the lowest offer was for the time share. He was overly aggressive and rude. Later that evening 4/20, I returned to a find a roach in the bathroom. After about 5mins and switching between cellphone and room phone, I finally get someone on the phone. They told me that it would be taken care of in the morning because housekeeping was not available. They also said someone would come spary. Lies. The very next day I was sitting on the couch with my lunch on the end table. And I look up and there s a roach in my food. I went to the front desk and checked out immediately. The hotel staff was rude and passive and quite honestly did not care one bit. The resort has all the bells and whistles and that s nice but the staff and rooms are questionable.

We won a holiday package, Ha Ha which cost us $898 plus $398 port fees and tax's Plus $300 costa rica all inclusive. I have copies of at least 50 emails back and forth trying to book and sort out this holiday. 85% of the time I got no reply or incorrect information. The free car cost us approx $1000 in insurance and tax's, the Costa Rica part they were unable to book for us, but we got no refund, the resorts we were supposed to stay at , were not resorts but yukky hotels. You had to attend sales presentations, and the cruise cabin was an inside cabin, when our paperwork clearly stated outside cabin (window) . We travelled from Australia, and very very very disappointed. Terrible Ethics.

We have stayed here twice and both times it has been a great experience. Nice condos that are fully furnished. They have many pools and a splash pad area that is great. Great location there is a Publix within walking distance if you wish to cook.. If you are going to Disney this is a perfect place and they have bus service so you do not have to drive.

The free shuttle service is awful. You have to take the shuttle to Disney Transportation Center and then if you want to go to animal kingdom or Hollywood, you have to take the monorail to a resort to grab a bus to those parks. It takes a long time. Plus there are only morning and evening shuttles. Customer service here is great though. The staff are wonderful.

The location is about 30 minutes from the parks so if this is why you are staying there, choose something closer. The resort has a few neat things for kids but it's really over-advertized. It does have good sidewalks, if walking is your thing. Rooms- this is the first time in years that I stayed in the room without refrigerator. Maybe it has it in other rooms. Still, rather bizzare. Then there are little things that bring huge inconveniences. Like, plugins. Why only one by the bed? And no matter how hard you try, you won't fit the phone charger without opening the drawer. You will forget about the drawer by morning, so hello, bruise. Check your coke machines more often- they are half-empty in this hot weather.

SUMMER BAY ORLANDO is a beautiful resort this is our second time staying here previous 2015 my aunt owns a timeshare here so she gets this every four years we had a good size group of 9 adults and a 1 1/2 yr old our other family members of 3 were able to upgrade from a one bedroom unit to a 2 bedroom at no additional fee they just felt a little scrunched in the one bedroom with a sleeper sofa.the resort is clean and well maintained. Very close to Disney 10 minute drive up 192. Publix grocery store right outside of resort a Wal Mart 5 minutes away on us 27. Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes. the resort has a restaurant and a Starbucks onsite. Can't wait to go stay again

We have been Summit Bay owners now for 13 years. We are just wrapping up a trip in Orlando, but are staying at Vacation Village at Parkway due to the proximity to the conference my wife attended. However, we did take an hour yesterday and stop by Summer Bay to see how it's doing. Wow. Great additions with immaculate maintenance. Next time in Orlando we are staying here, no matter what. It's everything we remember and more. We enjoy our Summer Bay ownership and the RCI points program. Kudos to the company!

Never stay here! The customer service is ridiculously horrible! There are too many other great places to stay in Orlando. We used Hotwire to book our stay and used the provided link to add an extra day. The manager said we were all set for our stay including the added day. On the last night of our stay, a security guard banged on our door at 9:30 pm and said we needed to go to the resort office. This is particularly traumatic becuase we have two small children that were going to bed. The resort said we had to move rooms (think Courtyard to Super 8) or pay a large amount of additional money. There was NO communication that we would need to switch rooms until 9:30 pm and they charged us a late fee for not checking out. Seriously? Worst customer service ever!! Do not stay here!
