The new YMCA has an incredibly poor system for using the lap pool. They queue up the swimmers by requiring session passes. This creates capacity issues when the session opens, yet empty pool prior. Sitting here with 10 people staring at an empty lap pool. Should have gone to Mill Creek or Stanwood.....

Decent equipment for the average user. Moderate amount of cardio equipment but relatively small weight room given the overall size of the facility. If it's busy you may find it difficult to get a workout in due to the lack of equipment. Missing some nice to have items such as kettlebells over 35lbs...

The staff is friendly the monthly membership is a little expensive but it goes into programs for kids so why not have your gym membership go to a good cause. The building and equipment is old but it works what can you expect from a 100 year old building in downtown Everett.
