Disappointed with my recent experience at Dennis Kirk in Rush City. I’ve been a loyal customer in the past and usually love buying from your motorcycle dealership, but this time felt off. I ordered a jacket late Sunday evening with free shipping listed, yet I was still charged for it. I realized I made a mistake and immediately tried to adjust the order, but the website wouldn’t let me, so I had to email support. When I called first thing Monday morning to fix the shipping speed, I was told it had already shipped the same day—meaning it left your Rush City location in just six minutes? I felt rushed out of the conversation. To make matters worse, the price is identical on Amazon. I chose Dennis Kirk for that personal touch and local support, but if I had just started with Amazon, I could have fixed my mistake instantly.

Shelved the motorcycle gear from Dennis Kirk in Rush City after a total letdown. The box arrived looking like it had been through a wringer, and a crucial part was missing because they didn’t pack it right. I called support and got Kassondra, who acted like I was bothering her while she played Candy Crush. Her attitude was icy and we ended up going in circles with no real help. I’m done with them and wouldn’t recommend buying from this store to anyone.
I picked up an HJC helmet with an extra mirrored shield from Dennis Kirk in Rush City, but my experience has been anything but smooth. The sun visor mechanism is finicky, and the coating on the mirror shield started flaking off after just two washes. I know I took off the decals, which technically voids their return policy, so that’s fair. However, I’m stuck because Dennis Kirk claims removing the decals voids HJC’s five-year warranty on the RPHA model. When I called HJC directly, they clarified that removing decals doesn’t affect the internal wiring of the visor and are willing to honor the warranty if Dennis Kirk submits the claim. But the store just sits on it. I tried reaching out to a supervisor named Travis via phone and email, but he hasn’t gotten back to me. Meanwhile, I’m being told a replacement shield is on its way whenever they get stock, which sounds like a brush-off. For context, retailers like Revzilla and J&P would have handled this immediately without a hassle. The constant back-and-forth and evasive emails from this team are incredibly frustrating. Honestly, this is hands-down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Don’t waste your time here—go elsewhere.
I tried ordering a specific motorcycle part from Dennis Kirk in Rush City, but their pricing display was deceptive. The item showed one price on the search results, but jumped by $25 once I clicked through to the actual purchase page. It was framed as a discount from a higher price, but it felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. I noticed other competitors offer the same item at the advertised rate, which would have been much cheaper. After this misleading experience, I’m done shopping with Dennis Kirk.
Dennis Kirk in Rush City messed up my order by sending front brake pads instead of the rear ones I requested. I called to see if I’d have to pay the $7.99 return shipping, and they confirmed I would. I ended up keeping the wrong pads just to avoid the fee, since they cost about half the price anyway. Fair enough, but they lost a loyal customer over this error.
I won’t be buying tires from Dennis Kirk in Rush City again. They sold me a set that was already over four years old, which is way past the standard for vehicle safety. When I complained, the customer service rep was rude and dismissive, just telling me their policy allows them to sell tires up to six years old without offering any real apology or solution. In the tire industry, anything over three years is considered old stock, so this felt like a cash grab. I’ve worked in tire stores for years, and I know the difference. I’m done with this dealership.
My experience with Dennis Kirk in Rush City was a letdown. I picked up a Moose carburetor rebuild kit, but the quality was poor, and the O-rings and other parts were the wrong sizes. When I tried to return the faulty items, they turned me away. It’s made me decide to stick with local shops for my motorcycle parts.
Ordered a part over the phone and was sent the wrong part. When I sent it back, they told me it had been used (which it wasn t and never even left the inside of my house). So I call them to try to get it figured out and a rude lady insisted I ordered it online and it was my fault . I told them they sent me the wrong part and I never used anything. They didn t care. They were zero help and I Definitely won t be buying from them again.
Ordered a jacket and a helmet online on a Monday afternoon and they showed up Tuesday. Turns out I picked the wrong sized jacket and the helmet wasn't a good fit so on Wednesday I shipped them back to swap the jacket for a different size and return the helmet for a refund. By Friday I had the new jacket and by Saturday my account had been refunded for the helmet.
Says 3 to 5 days shipping it's been 5 days and they still havent even gotten my part to ship to me . They never even sent a notice it would take 10 days when they are 2 hours from me !
Great prices and super easy to work with! I ordered a set of wheels and tires for my 2017 Honda Rancher and they mounted them and shipped them very quickly! I installed them today and I have to say that I am highly satisfied and would definitely recommend them and would order from them again!
Four options for replacement headlamps for my ride. $4.50, $10.75, $12.50, and $17.88. I need two and guess which one is the only one they have in stock? Too often they are out of stock of the cheaper option part. This happend to me last year for a belt and spark plugs too. Fast, friendly, cheerful service, but somehow I feel like I was taken advantage of.
Very nice. The only thing I didnt like was there scratch and dent store is closed. But you can get the stuff on eBay
Awesome service. I was in and out in 3 minutes with my tire!
Great place for atv parts and if you don't mind the location it will save the time and cost of shipping. It's not much of a store, its a the warehouse for a parts website but they have a counter with friendly help that will grab you anything out of the warehouse.
I called around Harris Mn and my stuff was ready when I got there ! So far great service and great prices and I have an older bike.
I have been a customer for a very long time. They carry inventory and ship very fast. Seldom ever talk to customer service because no need to, when to have no problems. Very happy with the store,
It's a totally unique shopping experience as far as it being a retail store. Going into the store just to look up your product in a catalog and then call on a phone in the room to order your selection. Someone then picks the order from the warehouse and brings it up front. Prices are good. Customer service is good. It's just an odd concept. Obviously it's working for them. Don't get me wrong it's not a horrible experience. It's just different.
Never an issue with returned parts. The tech support is worth the call ,love this place. Shine on!!
Parts, parts, parts. Need a ORV or cycle part,,,Dennis Kirk has it. Been there often...
went there to buy some new bibs and the kids they have working there are not friendly at all there rude and are on there cell phones watching videos very unprofessional.
Returned my wrongly ordered parts asked about other parts and told had right ones. wrong still wrong ones of 4of 5 parts have wrong better to trash then waste time returning
Great place for snowmobile parts, good selection and fast delivery, helpful, kind staff.
Excellent customer service, super fast shipping! A++
Very quick shipping and good prices. If you have the opportunity to go there in person they have a lobby with some items on display. You can order right there in store just use the kiosks with the phones to call in the order and they will bring it all up to you to check out.
The change staff frequently over the last few years trying to get parts from them has gotten more and more difficult due to the lack of knowledge of the support staff
Amazing... I purchased a helmet and it was way to big. So I sent it back for an exchange. The process was extremely easy, and they sent me a refund for the difference right away. I revived my new helmet in a few days after.
Purchased helmet and riding boots happy with the quality of both.
Always a friendly place to stop and pick a few things up
They where rude an where more concerned with putting me on hold an transferring me to some one else then helping me I am taking my business else where thanks taking my money an giving me the wrong parts
I would like to thank the young man that helped my son and I on Saturday, 1/12/19. We stopped in on our way to Lutsen to get a set of carbides. The set that we had purchased from the Polaris dealer did not fit. It turned out that my son put a very rare ski on his sled over the summer. This young man spent 45 minutes making sure that we had the correct part and we were on our way. Outstanding service!! Thank you.
Once you are used to how the ordering process works, this place is awesome!
Shipped to Minneapolis the next day.
I haven t actually been out to the store, but I am beyond impressed by their online ordering service. I ordered a cover and front brake lock for my motorcycle and it arrived the very next day, with free shipping. Both products fit perfectly to my bike based on their online feature of selecting a specific motorcycle make and model. I ll definitely be shopping with them again for more motorcycle accessories.
Nice facility and a great selection. But we were there for 15 min.... one girl just stared st us, one said hello and walked away, and two guys behind the counter were high fiving and talking amongst themselves while i stood there. Terrible service, won't be back.
I have been buying tires and helmets since the late 70's. Replacing tires every year. 3 years and helmet Ned's to be replaced. Average miles ridden per year. 18,000. An hour away ... Why ship? Riding is like a minny vacation
Hard to find better prices anywhere else. Not a fan of how you get your items. You have to get on a computer and then call to the back so that someone will bring the items that you want out front. It's quite inconvenient if you are wanting to shop around for something and try on multiple different types of items and brands. ie. Gloves, boots, jackets.
Once our items were brought out we had to stand around and wait for 10 minutes before someone was available for us to pay.
Seemed really busy but employees seemed to know what they were talking about and we're very helpful. Store is kinda small but still worth the visit in.
If I could rate this company a zero, I would! My husband purchased handle bars from this company that stated it would fit a 2011 road glide and it did not. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. (Item was purchased on Ebay, however the item was sold by More
No complaints here. I personally like how the store is set up. You go there, pick up a phone, give them your zip code and name, part numbers, and then they tell you how much the total is and an estimated time when the items will be brought to the counter. You shop online or in catalog. It's that simple!
To me, since DK has SO many items, it's easier for them AND their customers.
Have been getting parts an apparel here on an off for years customer service on the phone has been great behind the counter not so great at times
But at times great help also
Used online for the first time yesterday afternoon an vary happy got my part by 9am today
Vary pleased
Absolutely great if you know exactly what you are looking for
What a great place to buy things for my 2016 triglide!! Cant beat next day delivery! !
When you got to have it now! Fast delivery of quality merchandise.
Great supply of what you need, just a drive to get there from the cities though.
Unique experience. I didn't feel rushed or that the wait time was overly long between selecting something and trying it on, about 3-7min, and once I knew the system it was very streamlined. Don't expect to browse, this isn't a traditional retail store, though it does have a tiny bit of selection up front mostly consisting of helmets. Show up with an idea on what you want, or even better a dennis kirk part #. All selection of product is done by getting a part # and calling in your order on the locations phone system. I do believe you can call in ahead to have your order waiting.
Counter guy was just great .lady on the phone was too
Fast shipping but poor customer service, damaged parts, and frequent in complete orders.
Great parts selection, good prices, efficient will call desk.
Things move pretty quick if you know wat your doing there. If you don't, well your s.o.l.
Always fast and accurate. I only wish there was an option for pick-up on the website.
I have ordered several items from Dennis Kirk and have always been very satisfied. I recently ordered a helmet that came slightly damaged. Brenda in customer service was literally the best customer service representative I have worked with in a very long time. She communicated promptly and in less than two days I had a replacement helmet at my doorstep. I will continue to do business with Dennis Kirk and will definitely recommend that others do as well.
I ordered online and received the package the next day. It turns out they're a 40 minute drive for me so I'm going to check out the store next.
I ve been spending $1000-$1500+ annually at Dennis Kirk for years. I recently returned a pair of heated gloves that didn t work and a helmet that didn t fit. Dennis Kirk charged me over $100 in restock fees because the items were used. Obviously I used the gloves to find out they didn t work / performed poorly for how expensive they were. I never used the helmet but since I tried it on, it s used and subject to a restock fee. Terrible customer service and brutal return policy. Not exactly no hassle as they claim.
I ll be purchasing all my snowmobile apparel and parts elsewhere from now on.
This company allows people to purchase stuff with stolen credit card then protects them by not telling who they are or where the stuff was shipped to. I would not shop here.
I purchased an item which was damaged when received and didn't fit as advertised. My review isn't about those concerns as I understand they happen. My review is based on the absolutely horrid customer service experience I had when attempting to process the return. The associate was rude and aggressive and seemed to be looking for reasons to deny my return. She ultimately threatened to decrease my refund if "mounting marks" were present so I sought resolution elsewhere. After reading other people's reviews, it seems as though this tactic is commonly used by DennisKirk to deny or decrease refunds even though they advertise "Easy Returns". I will certainly never purchase from them again and would caution others to consider the possibility of poor customer service before purchasing from them as well.
Edit in respond to Owner:
You did not receive a call from me in that regard, your associate called me to interrogate me regarding the circumstances of my return. My intention was to mount the set and then contact you regarding the one broken part which could have been replaced. I understand you have to also deal with the manufacturer but expecting me to know the inner workings of your business is asinine. Why wouldn't I mount it? Regardless, the interaction your associate engaged in with me was unprofessional and unnecessary. As I said before, my review is based on the poor customer service I received, not the defective part.
Excellent customer service and their prices are great. I placed my order at 6:30 pm and received it the next day, Christmas eve at 10:30 am. Pretty amazing!
No one willing to help. You're all alone going ro this place
Great place for parts, super fast shipping when im lazy or just a 20 minute drive to pick up almost anything I need for my bikes.
If youre looking for quality parts that last then Dennis Kirk is not your solution. After all the money I've spent they refuse to honor my defective idler wheels with only 300 miles of use. Just my 2 cents. Safe riding
Update to reply to Dennis Kirk:

Talked to Performance Machine about the scuff marks in the mounting holes of derby cover and no gasket. Apparently no gasket ships with the derby cover. And the marks in the mounting holes are part of the machining progress. After sending them pics, they could clearly see that it HAD NOT been installed. Sending to Performance Machine and they will exchange for right one.
Dennis Kirk. If you would have called Performance Machine, they would have told you no gasket comes with it. And they would have told you about the machining marks. But you decided to call me a LIAR. Now you've lost a 20 yr customer. Plus 6 people are now buying their exhaust from someone else.
.....
Do not order from Dennis Kirk! They have no regard for customers. I placed a large order in December for my husband's motorcycle. Six Performance Machine parts. Once the derby cover arrived separately and I held on to it for a Valentine's Day gift for him.
It came with nothing but the cover and the screws. Turns out it was the wrong one. Valentine's was within their 90-day return window.
We returned it for exchange for the right one. However, they are accusing us of mounting it and trying to return it. THAT IS NOT THE CASE!!!
The derby cover never left the house, was never in the garage, NEVER MOUNTED ON THE BIKE!!!
They refuse to exchange it and will accept it back and refund 50% of the costs.
Not acceptable. We have no reason to lie or try to cheat Dennis Kirk.
We asked them to return it to us. Unfortunately, now I expect to get a damaged derby cover returned. It was not damaged when we sent it in.
Customer Service refused to let us speak with management.
Please help us out and purchase from J & P or another retailer. We will not be purchasing from Dennis Kirk again!
Please share and help spread the word!.

We returned it for exchange for the right one. However, they are accusing us of mounting it and trying to return it. THAT IS NOT THE CASE!!! It wasn't the right one that goes with the other parts. Corey saw that as soon as he took it out of the package! There was no need to mount it!!! We immediately figured out the one that was needed! Hence the return for exchange for the right one.
They are saying it shows signs of being mounted. The cover had no marks on it when we took it out of the package nor when we returned it! If it is damaged now, they did it.

First time trying out this place, I needed a carburetor, exhaust pipes and shock absorber springs for the motorcycle and I most definitely recommend going here to order parts. The girls behind the counter were very intelligent new their stuff. Did not need to explain anyting cuz the girls new what I was asking for. The prices for parts wasn't bad at all definitely would be coming back here again.
The best place for bike parts a very knowledgeable staff. And friendly staff too.
Super fast shipping! Bought my new pipes on Tuesday, delivered on Thursday, had them on my bike that evening. Couldn't ask for more, I'll be back for other parts.
Calling in an order was easy, but the guys behind the counter didn't seem too interested in helping anyone.

It's always a nice place to go but I don't like the ordering system you don't have the front counter person helping you out. It's informal and like I said not personal. Society is going to hell. LOL
Great ride to Rush City, MN to get all scooter parts and accessories you need at internet prices. Why wait for shipping when you can get it today and enjoy the ride to boot?
Great prices for motorcycle parts, recreational vehicle parts and apparel
Ever time I order something the order is shipped ASAP and I get it right away and it s always a quality product. Great job
Had a awesome experience with the folks here, Customer service is always top notch, couldn't recommend them more.
