We read that the Anne Frank Museum was too Touristy , not so.
We found it to be very moving. I read the Anne Frank book as a teenager and remembered a lot of her story. To actually be in the spaces The Frank s and 4 others had to hide out within, to walk the creaky floors, to climb the STEEP stai...

A fascinating yet sombre exhibition. The experience is extremely moving. Seeing the annex in its preserved state, you pick up on the energy of the fear and terror that ensued. Thoroughly educational and serves as a bleak reminder to the depths of darkness that humanity can stoop to.

To be honest I believe most of the reviews are in honor of what happened here. However a review should be of the place you're reviewing which mine will be and this attraction is lacking. It has become a sideshow for money and can have impatient workers.

very interesting place to visit. quite sad really considering the nature.
very big queues though. even if you have tickets.
when busy it can be quite difficult because of the stop start and the stairs are quite thin and steep. also no toilets when you walk round so go to the toilet beforehand

Such a moving museum about the story of Anne Frank and her family who went into hiding during the second world war. A must-see if you are ever in Amsterdam!!
Currently under renovations to expand so you have to book tickets online.

There are no words to fully express the sadness I felt walking past the book case to the hidden narrow stairs leading to the Annex. Three days later I can still hear Anne's father talking about his daughter's death on a vide. He did everything humanly possible to save is family. In the end he was th...

I encourage everyone to visit. Touring the house and listening to what Anne Frank went through had my mind spinning as I not only could see, but feel the sadness and the bravery. Thousands of individuals from various backgrounds/ religions have faced similar circumstances and many still are.

The exhibition was a mostly a somber experience - you learn about the Frank family's ordeal by moving through the house and listening to the audio guide.

The rooms are small, however, and very packed when we went through and I can safely assume this is the case around the year. I would recommend ...

Came here to see one of the popular tourist attractions. Purchased tickets beforehand so that saved a bit of time. The actual house was pretty big and everything was laid out nicely. Everyone walked in a line going through the house, but you can move ahead faster than other people if you wanted to. ...

You have to reserve before online, you cannot go directly like that. You always have some tickets left the day before at 9am (check online the opening hour) and it's a story of "who would be faster". Incredible place with precise explanations on the free audio guide. Lot of emotions, thank you

The place gives you chills. The horrors of Holocaust start haunting you.

It was nice. Well organized. I missed information from Peter. Do not recommend it without reading the book. Don't forget to buy the tickets in advance and arrive on time. The space is very small, like a house. They need to control the visiting.

The queue is long. And on a rainy cold Oct day one must b prepared to keep themselves warm and have some snack and drink in hand. If u carry a book, or your journal to write then u are the smart while all around u r painfully waiting their turn to get on. The house alone tells u the story of Anne ...

Having seen many Holocaust movies and of course all the Anne Frank movies out there, my husband and I were utterly disappointed from this museum experience. I understand that Otto Frank didn't want to keep any of the furniture, especially because the Nazis confiscated it, but the rooms are practical...

Wow, what an amazing experience. This museum is well planned out and very respectful of the families who lived there. Pre-reserving is highly recommended, but slots fill way in advance. We weren't able to reserve ahead of time, but got in quickly because we went on a rainy day - not many people want...

Well organized tour of the historic house, audio guides are included and are well done. I would suggest buying advance tickets on line. Only prebought tickets are allowed in before 1530, then general admission after, which when we returned later in the day to the neighborhood was snaking around the...

A must see when you're in Amsterdam. Try to get tickets online ahead of time so you don't have to wait in a 1 1/2 + line.
However, we waited in line and it was worth the wait!
If you're there and need water, don't buy from one of the shops, fill it up at the water station closer to the entrance of...

Very emotional journey, can't imagine surviving the entire family and living without them after enduring how they lived the last 3 years of their lives prior to being captured. This tour is not handicapped friendly, there are very steep stairs and can be challenging under the best of conditions.
