Barrington Dance Academy is an excellent dance academy. My daughter loves this dance school. She loves being a part of the Nutcracker every year. My high school daughter relocated to BDA due to a family move, and she is so happy with her new "dance home"!
The focus on ballet technique and the overall art of dance is what drew us to BDA. The instructors are what kept us! The instructors are fabulous role models and help teach more than just dance to the boys & girls.
Since starting with BDA a few year ago, we, along with our children have been very happy and excited with all the lovely content BDA continues to keep our girls connected with. The teachers are kind, patient, compassionate, friendly and keeps the excitement continuous. In addition, the class structure along with the connective dance nuances within class, is a lovely balance with all the technical training. We enjoy the aspect of community, and BDA continues to thrive with keeping this training very community and family orientated, with all aspects of dance training professionalism. This is a great studio for adult dancers too! Ms Karen is one of the finest ballet masters that I have studies with and she understands the older body too! The studio practices rigorous guidelines for prevention of COVID. They use Zoom for those who want to social distance or lime me, are continuing my studies from another state!
I took a variety of Jazz classes and they were all excellent. The teachers are amazing dancers and they give you corrections so you can really grow from the classes. Most classes start with warm up, technique, across the floor movements and choreo. It was exactly what I was looking for, I wish I could take this studio home with me. Thanks for an amazing dance vacation!!!
My daughters have been taking ballet and jazz dance classes at BDA since 2016. They have learned from the best teachers in a creative and collaborative studio environment. My girls have also been given the opportunity to participate in professional productions through their involvement with BDA. The experiences they have had in class and on stage have been phenomenal, to say the least.
BDA offers a positive learning environment in which the dancers form great friendships. My daughter has loved her training and the ability to perform in amazing productions!
