Awesome uni with great facilities and lecturers. I really enjoyed my time there.

Visited with my sister who was thinking of studying there and neither of us were impressed. The university is really run down and just in general not a very pleasant place to be. The facilities seem really dated compared to other Universities. I know it's in the North, but the whole University doesn't have to be grey and bleak. I left feeling sorry for the students that are stuck there.

Spent a year here back in 1999 / 2000. Great place great Uni. Excellent resources.

I love this university, I think they listen to their students. There needs to be more access to sports for people who aren't naturally gifted athletes.

Excellent Forensic programme, but Manchester University is better by far for organisation ,Tutors and Placements. I did a F/T course for three years for a professional qualification but chose not to go back for further studies

The University suspends students who actually have views. Halal is wrong and unethical - having this view isn't a suspendable offence. Wanting non-UK citizens to pay for the NHS isn't a controversial view. Suspending Mr Walsh is shocking so I give this disgrace of an institution 1 star for being run by Leftist Morons!

Really great experience as teachers are highly motivated to assist us as being a student.

Well organised and smart up scaled university. Both great places to study eat and relax for both students and also the general public.

UCLan has integrated well into the city of Preston. They are providing new and exciting outside spaces for their students/staff and people of Preston.

Not started course yet but so far so good. As an extremely mature student who finds the whole process quite onerous,I have to say the support offered in getting the red tape sorted is excellent. In particular the staff in the i are pleasant, and extremely helpful and knowledgable I think they are fab and can not understand how anybody can give a bad review! .

Huge footprint for a University. New and older facilities and plenty to see and do. Amazing science facilities including crime scene houses and blood rooms. Staff who go out of their way to help

Great to be back on campus.! A lot of work been going on to keep staudents and staff safe. Good to see the new students centre taking shape.

This is one of the best university of UK to learn what you want. The faculty and other staff is also very supportive and provide you the best things to learn and earn knowledge not only on your subject but also on other topics also.

UCLan is a wonderful place to study and work, the people are friendly and there is a real buzz about the campus!

UCLAN hosted a summer club I attended for a week, which was an enjoyable experience. The facilities were clean and the atmosphere was great

I had learnt a lot during my course. Teachers are very helpful and I have been guided whenever I needed help. Thanks to my respected teachers and their undaunted assistance, I will graduate this year. I would recommend it to the students who want to work hard, for others my good wishes.

Completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies at uclan and i am very pleased! Great and friendly university staff! Also, I consider Preston as an ideal place for a student due to the low life costs compared to other big cities in North West. The campus is only few minutes away from Preston city centre. Would totally recommend.

Be careful when studying on a Postgraduate Degree Programme by Distance Learning at the University. If you quit early they will write off your Access to Learning Fund and Bill you for Tuition Fees. I am a disabled student and had to quit More

Great facilities and value for education. Teachers offer great support and there is a takeaway street just off campus. Conveniently located a short distance from the bus and train stations, which passes through the mall. Love my experience! Highly recommended to others who are thinking of studying here in the future.

Good university but should focus more on giving critical feedback to student's work, rather than slating them.

This is where you send your kids if you want them brainwashed and told they are not allowed wrong think. Do not give your money to this institution.

Depends what course you are doing. Their reputation isnt great but some of the Computing courses they offer are very well received.

I studied the top-up degree at this uni in hospitality management. First of all, UK is not the place to learn service or hospitality, secondly, the academic structure for this program is poorly and vaguely designed, it is not practical at all. Some tutors has obvious biased viewpoints towards Chinese students. Also, due to the academic agreement with some of the uni in China, this uni has numerous Chinese students. HOWEVER, I've got my privilege to meet some of the very good teachers I would regard one of them as the best teacher in my life, not only about academic skills but more on the way and attitude they place on their students, regardless of their origin. This uni, has some perfect facilities and the library is superb, so I ended up learning a lot of things by myself there and I'm really grateful to that. I would recommend this uni to those who has strong self-learning ability

Harriot Smiles is right. this university in highly organized and doesn't care about it students. One example of this, I experienced during my time there is not receiving course materials until 5-6 months into the module.

Worst decision of my life to come here! My course is awful and my tutor doesn't care about any of his students. Also he has favourites!!!! Not enjoying any of my time here except for social hours. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

I remember going here and leaving many times. People ask me what I do here and I tell them I use the vending machines.

Great place to self study. Well stocked and large library. Good varied content in modules, a large laid out Uni covers central Preston. 90% of lecturers helpful others think they are gods gift to the world and need replacing. Good Uni for top up degree

Unorganised, largely incompetant university that always puts making profit over its students and staff.

Great clubs, lovely people who work in the SU. Most teachers are great, others leave a lot to be desired though

UCLAN is great Uni with a large range of facilities and student services. Staff and Students are very friendly + helpful. Module content is varied and challenging, with a good range of elective modules in the second and third years. (BSc Environmental Management 2014 - 2017)

Would recommend studying criminology. BUT DO NOT STUDY POLITICS OR CHOOSE A POLITICS MODULE!!!. Terrible teaching, awful attitude and most lessons cancelled. Offered no support, learnt nothing and got a bad grade.

All looked great, spoke with the young man at student union who was really lovely and very helpful.

Incompetent lecturer! Fake university! Coming to this university is the equivalent of the old fashion comprehensive education system where teacher can verbally abuse students. I have seen a lecturer of poor quality shout at students as if it was a pupil at secondary school and this behaviour seem to be acceptable. The staff (Sarah Louise Runcie) concern has not been hold accountable by management and behaves in a way as she can do what she like. 6 weeks in to the first semester of the first year and numbers drop every week. From a lecture hall of 120 student, currently just 45 students are attended class because of the poor quality teaching. The building are really cold so no one wants to be there. The university is not what it is crack up to be that i imagine. They suck you in during the open days with their friendliness. When you enrol on the course they just treat you like rubbish. 100% fact! Be careful when choosing your university place. Now, it's January and 75% class don't come in. The cold is keeping students in bed. Some lecture are ok/good and others not so. Be careful what you choose here. I won't be surprised if report of abuse where discovered hear by lecturer as this happenes. Verbal psychology abuse is widely.

One of the worst universities in Britain, Some of the lectures are the laziest and least interested in the job lectures i have ever met in any uni so if you're thinking of going there remember you've been WARNED!

A Town Centre campus except it doesn't feel like a campus rather a collection of buildings with other non university businesses in the mix. There are many older buildings but is obvious the University is attempting to "build" a central core of facilities. The Forster building contains Refectory, shops and Cafe bar. The Sports Centre is impressive and close by. Student Union looks to have good facilities and is central. Halls of Residence are about 15 minutes walk from the Central buildings. Majority are set in blocks of flats with surrounding landscaping eith grass to sit on. All the rooms offer the basics and not much else. In a few years time with more redevelopment of the area this will become a good edge of town centre campus.

My semester hasn t started yet but I m already looking forward to it. Yesterday I bought some things for my new apartment, staff from the university was around and saw me trying to carry all these heavy things. Then they kindly helped me carrying it to my nearby student accommodation. What makes UCLAN special is that they care about people beyond average. They re also supporting fair trade with the coffee they sell.

Great place to study, if you like a small city. I have made some good friends. My lecturers are really committed and helpful. The library and sports facilities are excellent.

A disgusting left wing place which denies free speech this place needs closing down and demolished people are shocked at the way this place is managed.
