I get to eat here a lot since I work close by. I must say the service is always great and they keep the spot neat all the time. Prices are affordable and they serve large portions.

Good place to have dinner, but nothing spectacular. Jus your neighborhood place to go on Fridays for dinner
We had a private party at the Blue Bell Inn, and it was utterly fantastic. It was to put it simply, perfect. Sally, our waitress, was terrific. I can't say enough positive things about her; she was that wonderful. They provided delicious food and an incredible backdrop for a magical night!
Great food. Awesome service. Nice ambience. Excellent entertainment! Prices were a wee bit expensive.
Had a great time got to see a band there they were off the hook atmosphere was jumping and lively it was awesome time.
went there on 12/8... great service, great meal....
We attended a birthday party here and we were impressed. There are multiple floors and quaint, private rooms with nice little bars. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was really good. Our only wish was that there had been more of a dance floor; the live band was pretty good but there just wasn't enough room to enjoy it.
Top notch. More modern than it looks from the outside.
Great service with outdoor covered and uncovered seating.
Outstanding. Had filet. So good along with risotto our waiter was excellent
Service was excellent.. Food was fantastic. Can't wait to go back !
Good food, nice atmosphere, pretty fancy-- lots of space too.
Blue Bell Inn is always consistently good and a wonderful place to spend a Sunday afternoon for brunch or a week night for a quick supper as well as a fine dining place on a Saturday evening whether inside or outside on the patio.
A recent visit turned up a shrimp cocktail that had four very cold colossal sized shrimp that had never been cleaned or deveined!
I was stunned that the dish was presented this way. However, the waiter, when told of this oversight immediately returned with another order of shrimp that were cleaned properly. I will say that this waiter handled the situation with grace and I was satisfied with the outcome. One note of criticism on this waiter, he needs to smile a little to the customer and act a little more authentic like he wants to be there. He seemed distracted, distant and contrived as if he was playing a part as a waiter in a play. He never refilled our iced teas until we had asked, our glasses having been emptied for quite a while. I also noticed the table next to us also asking for refills. This should not be in a place where they are serving shrimp for $18.
Not that I feel the price is too high for the size of shrimp and quality I received, in fact , just the opposite. I think it is well worth the price! But in an establishment like this, you should never have to ask for a refill.
I still give Blue Bell Inn 5 stars because they did rectify the error and made me whole and they cannot control the demeanor of every employee every single day.
I still highly recommend this restaurant!
You get what you pay for. Food and service was amazing.
No 1st night jitters here. Loved it. Great Job Bruce and Kevin.
I love going to the Blue Bell Inn,the food is a large variety of delicious food. They have a bar do you sit and drink and they notify you when your table is ready. The people who own the Inn are the nicest people in the world. The Waiters help you decide on what type of food you like as well as the Waitress. Their family was in a bad accident, and when I arrived there they did remember i was on the paramedics team they saved their grandson's life and through their kindness I didn't have to pay for anything. I recommend this place to take your family very highly
We always enjoy our time here when we come to blue Bell area this very historic restaurant offers great services and wonderful food
With the pandemic, there was plenty of varied seating areas and it was a very nice setting in each area, we sat in the garaged door open area and enjoyed looking at the fire pit. We had excellent service, the food was delicious. I reduced one star for 2 reasons:
1). As my freind arrived prior to me & said that the host was quite rude... it seemed she was troubling them by showing up without a reservation. They initially said we have no tables at all for you, then said well we do have one. Just say we only take reservations if that's the case or that its filled, no need to be rude to the guests. I think everyone is just on edge a bit from all the extra work/explanations r/t pandemic (food order required on table at all times when liquor there, etc).
2). The cost of drinks were really expensive and no price on menu for drinks. $14 for a pineapple margarita served in a martini glass? Wow... I mean, it was tasty, but should really be in the appropriate glass, not a tiny martini glass, rediculous.
Overall, it was nice to get out after a long time of take out or home cooked meals, but would like to have friendlier hosts seat or talk to guests regarding situation and better value for drinks.
Our waitress was excellent, great food and ambiance. We spent $100 for 1 salad, 2 appetizers & 4 drinks (overall very nice evening out. I'd go back again, but maybe give the attitude right back to the host next time, so unnecessary.)
Always one of my favorite places! Great food and even better service! We enjoy sitting at the bar to see Cara and Matt!
A place for excellent food. Full of history and must take a photo of Blue Bell since 1743
ALWAYS great food&great service, GOT TO GET THE SEAFOOD TOWER!
This site is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. when I want to go to a superb dinner, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. very good and many types of food and a rich menu.generous staff, and good mood. Also, the price is reasonable. I suggest this place with no hesitation.
This is usually one of my favorite restaurants, but tonight it really disappointed. Food very good; service very, very slow. Five of six entrees arrived together. The sixth took an extra ten minutes. When desserts were ordered, they took so long that our party was ready to leave before being served. If this were my first visit to Blue Bell Inn, I would probably not return. Past favorable experiences, however, will have me back again.
You pay for the atmosphere, not the food. It's very pricey with some options you could get just about anywhere. For example, my friend got three buttermilk pancakes for $12 that she said were pretty average. My entire party had about the same thoughts. It was just okay food, but nothing we'd go out of our way to do again.
Dad's business lunch. Said the service was perfect (they had a large group) and the meal was delicious. Naturally, the historic building was interesting. Pictured is a steak salad (medium rare).
We went as a large party and had to have the fixed menu. It was good but I would have preferred the options on the full menu. Servings were very small. The salmon was about half of what other restaurants would serve. Also the desert was very small. The service was amazing. If we weren't forced into the fixed menu, it probably would have been much better.
Food here is top quality but you'll pay for it. The filet I had was perfection with some great texture and flavor. The patio is a great place to relax to the sounds of the waterfall.
Excellent food, particularly the seafood dishes. Quiet, good for conversations. Historic building, but not stuffy or dressy. Just a little pricey.
My wife and I go here regularly on nice days. They have an amazing patio space that is great when it is warm and sunny. Food is good and the drink is top shelf. But it is really overpriced. If it wasn't for the patio, we would probably never come here.
A little more upscale. Very good, expensive enough food. Good atmosphere. Friday nights live bands are playing. Manities played when we were there. Dance and lots of fun over there. It's definetely worth visit.
The two stars are for the service. MAUREEN and others were on point, trying their best but clearly not backed up by the kitchen or bar staff. The food was awful. The snack breads were fine but each table was given a tiny bowl of 4 little pieces for 8-9 people. The mojitos were alcohol free. I think the bartender forgot to add the vodka or rum. Every single person who had one was not tasting any alcohol. I could have had a breathalyzer after 5 of them with a ZERO reading. So the guests resorted to ordering wine and mimosas by the glass, which astronomically racked up my bill.
Back to the food, several guests told me that their chicken was rubbery, like it was boiled and tasted stale. Also it was just plopped on the romaine uncut! Very unappealing. The frittata was cold, dry and had very few mushrooms that tasted like canned mushrooms not fresh as stated on the menu. The tira misu french toast also was cold, dry, Texas toast style and no syrup was served with it and when guests asked for syrup it was served ice cold too.
I am so disappointed and embarrassed to have chosen BBI. I feel ripped off by the high price per head that I was charged for the event, the virgin mojito cocktails (that were supposed to have alcohol), the unsavory, cold, stale food, the poor presentation AND the absolute worst was how the beautiful cake I brought was butchered. Pieces looked like they were not sliced from the cake but grabbed by the handful and thrown onto dessert plates. And huge CHUNKY pieces too.
When o brought this up to management my concerns were belittled and unacceptable excuses were offered. Terrible experience except for the two servers who worked hard.
Cossy restaurant and great food. You can't go wrong having a romantic dinner at this location. Great staff and highly recommended.
Food good but not great and so exhorbitantly over priced, ridiculous
Nice brunch, pleasant restaurant, good atmosphere and service
Taking it down a star...the bar attempted to charge us for the most expensive wine @ happy hour... Literally twice the price..
Dinner was fabulous and service was great! Will be back for sure!
Attentive service, great food, and live music on the patio!
I went here for a work Christmas function. One of the entrees was Filet mignon. The waiter asked every single person how they wanted their steak cooked. I requested medium well. When I received my filet, it was RARE. Not even close to medium well. Someone else at my table also complained that his steak was also very under cooked. Do no task people how they would like their meat cooked and then not deliver. So we both patiently waited for our meals to come back as everyone else from our company ate. Second time, mine was still very uncooked. The gentleman that also complained also said, this is not what I requested. He ate his because he was under a time constraint and very hungry. I did not eat my dish. Was I supposed to send it back a second time? I would not recommend the Blue Bell Inn to friends or family. Do not host 25+ people if your Chef cannot handle it. Very disappointing in what is supposed to be a high end restaurant.
We had a great dinner at the Blue Bell Inn. The renovations really make the Inn more lively than it had been the last time we dined here (more than 10 years ago). The food was, excellent!
Awesome place to grab food when in a rush. Their customer service is prompt, rates are convenient, excellent mood. I highly recommend this place
Excellent food prepared from fresh ingredients and nicely presented. Reasonable prices.
Food was excellent, service good, birthday surprise very nice, nice atmosphere. Will return.
Food was okay. Priced far too high. Must ask for a back room, or you will lose your hearing
What happened to the old Blue Bell Inn??? Terrible new menu, Absolutely no class!!! way too loud, We could not hear each other or waiter when trying to order. Decor very cold. The old Blue Bell Inn used to be an old school Classic American Bistro, Nice, Quiet, Romantic and Great Food. Gone...........so sad We won't be back!
I ve been to Blue bell inn a couple times, and I enjoy their food. However, when I wanted to schedule my brithday party with 10 of my friends at Blue bell inn, in the Blue room, their customer service was awful. I called them multiple times, they answered and all but the person I was supposed to talk to was the manager, Alisha, and she didn t get back to me. I did all the correct things to try and book my brithday. Call up the Blue bell inn, and leave my phone number on Alisha s voicemail. I ve repeated this process throughout a month. No one got back to me. I stopped trying and looked at other places. Great food and all, but horrible customer service.
Great atmosphere and fantastic food! The staff could not have been more friendly and professional. Perfect place to host an event.
The goat cheese dish wasn't as strong of a flavor as one would expect from goat cheese. The chateaubriand was quite good, nice and tender, fantastic sauce on it as well
Food was fantastic! I had a salad, braised short ribs, green beans & mashed potatoes, yummy!!! My friend & I split a slice of chocolate cheesecake, to die for!! We went on a Wed night & were delightfully surprised to see they had a live combo, that added a nice touch to the night. Can't say enough good about this historic, beautiful restaurant.
Delicious food. Had a company party. Extremely well catered. And again, the food was top notch. Definitely would highly recommend.
Wednesday buck a shuck and half price wine is on point
Delicious food and good service. We will definitely be going back.
First time dining here, we had a 7:15 evening reservation on May 3rd and we sat downstairs by the window. The front desk service was very friendly and offered us different seating options first. Our server was just as nice and recommended some dishes to us. We had the cheesesteak dumplings - amazing, and the calamari - best dressed calamari I've ever had, so different and good. We had ny strip and bronzino for entrees, we also took home cookies and cream cheesecake. Completely blown away and impressed by the food and restaurant in every way. Best restaurant I've been to in a long time, great special occasion spot. Really can't wait to come back again, I need to try the brunch.
Beautiful place, food so-so, service was amateurish for price point.
Loved the lamb shank. Expected the presentation with a sauce or something. Requested mint jelly and that was what I remembered with lamb. Presentation could have been better. Took some comments from my group....
One of my favorite places to grab some food. fantastic location, well kept, and great service. I highly recommend them!
Gem in Blue Bell . It's so lovely to have such a wonderful restaurant close to home. The food at the Blue Bell Inn is consistently fantastic - a great variety of choices from seafood, salads, steaks and desserts, there's something for everyone. This evening my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with excellent service from Sean... perfectly attentive without being intrusive - great timing and never an empty glass! We had a great table in the terrace area - a balance of privacy without being too stuffy. I would recommend the Blue Bell Inn to anyone looking for a special night out, or just a casual good good time.
The manager was very helpful in our dinner reservations there I just wanted to thank her
Gourmet quality food. Trendy upsvale dining experience. Old is NEW again.
Fun place with good food. The bartenders were fairly attentive even with it being a Saturday night & a large crowd.
Great overall experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was the best.
