Very nice atmosphere and lovely decor.

Very nice atmosphere and lovely decor.
The service was prompt and professional. My only disappointment was that for the prices, the portions were a bit small.
The food was absolutely delicious and nicely presented though, what there was of it. If you are a person with a healthy appetite, be prepared to have to buy your salad separately, and perhaps purchase an extra side.
I did not try any appetizers, so can not speak of the quality or serving.

Really enjoyed our meal here. The food was excellent. I had a perfect NY strip steak and the Branzino, Duck Confit and Short ribs my dinner mates had were also top quality. The dessert were also delicious, as were the cocktails we started with. They also have a well chosen wine list with good.variety and options for by the glass. It's pricey, bur worth the splurge! The service was also excellent and professional, right on time and on top of things without being instrusive. Well done!

This is our 2nd time to the Blue Bell Inn this year- and another disappointment. The first time we sat in the Oak Room - it was a great atmosphere which balanced the ho-hum over priced food. This time we asked for a "quiet table" and was seated at a high-top bar table in a smoke laced room. Every time workers went in and out of the back door we had the pleasure of tasting smoke with our food. We ordered the calamari - it was very strange, you had no taste of calamari - only the banana chip and oatmeal clusters it was paired with. (Very odd combination) . I ordered a $15 glass of chardonay - it had no taste. The 2nd glass I ordered tasted like I was drinking orange juice. What happened to the Duckhorn?? I ordered the All American Cheeseburger - $16 for something I can get at TGIF for $10. There was NOTHING special about this meal - the "truffle chips" tasted like burnt potato chips. My husband ordered the reuben - it was dried out, the bread was almost burnt and they barely had any sauce on it. He had to keep drinking just to get the sandwich down. This is a HUGE disappointment - I went here to celebrate my 40th birthday - $150 down the drain. I will NEVER be back.

I had my family Christmas party here this year. It was a lot of fun and the food was amazing. I really liked the bacon wrapped scallops. The bar service was fun and friendly, and table staff were very attentive. A great place for a family get together after the kids get a little older!

The renovations here must have cost a fortune. Blue Bell Inn went from tired to modern and the inside looks great now. There are several different rooms so you could get a quiet dinner, or a loud one. Those renovations have to get paid off somehow, though - the food (and drinks) can be expensive.

The staff has always been accommodating, this is a great place for a special occasion.

If you don't want to get forced to valet park, come early!

Absolutely gorgeous outdoor scenery, especially this time of year. Perfect for date night or celebrations. You'll find a lot of unique items on this menu starting with their stiff cocktails and seasonal specials - the pumpkin lobster soup is fantastic! I would love to eat here again.

Stopped in for sunday brunch with a few out of town friends and this place was more than we could have asked for. The food was perfect, so many fun options. Outstanding atmosphere, nice staff, we loved it. Just moved to the area but we will definitely be back to the Blue Bell Inn.

Fancy schmancy. Historic location. Recently renovated. Upscale crowd. First rate appointments, menu, and dishes. Service was a little slow but accurate on a busy night. Good drinks, fine dining. Very noisy environment, bring the kids. Free valet parking (you'll need it).

The best dining experience inside and out. Their beautiful renovation has completely changed dining in the area. The outside patio, especially on a gorgeous night feels like being in California. Sara K is an amazing server. On top of everything! Highly recommend. M.

Great atmosphere, great oysters and raw bar, pretty solid menu overall with a few misses. (To be expected with a Suburban joint). The bar can be a little loud and the service can be spotty if you're not regular, but worth the trip. Cocktails are more than respectable and the tap list is strong. Weeknights are easier to navigate than weekends. Check it put. A little pricey, so know what you're getting into. Always enjoy though...

Maybe it was a bad night for the staff,

Maybe it was a bad night for the staff,
starting with the kitchen, my breaded fried oysters were cold and soggy, it tasted like the frayer oil was dirty and old, same with the calamari + no simple seasoning, salt and pepper or seasoning salt, something...just cold soggy and old oil.
This was enough to end the dinner before we got to our entrees.
Was looking forward for a basic grilled 16oz. Rib eye and a glass of valpolicella, didn't have it, seriously..a 14oz. Strip steak or a 8oz. Filet is not the solution for a steak craving.
The wait staff had too many tables to be able to give good service, kept waiting for everything, it got old very quick.
So I decided to get something out of the box for me, something I would not get unless I was in New England or something..so I got the Lobster Roll ( waitress said people love it ), it had a nice flavor but it did not seem to be a lobster (1lb Lobster steamed and - deshelled) but it seemed to be just enough lobster meat to barely fill a 4inch roll.
sorry to say very disappointing.

Phenomenal. Our server Kyle was awesome. Knowledgeable and very helpful, awesome recommendations and great service. My ginger pear Spritz was pretty good, I think it could use some tweaking. Wine selection was great though Id prefer a slightly larger glass selection especially of Italian wines. Duck and filet were both incredible but I felt as though the cheese board was a bit small. Either way me and my wife left full and satisfied. Dessert was great with a classic cheesecake.

What a wonderful place with some rich history! We reserved an upper room for a company banquet and thought the open bar and food were excellent. We enjoyed being in this old part of Pennsylvania history and would highly recommend this to families and businesses as a great place to meet and dine.

We had dinner at the "new" Blue Bell Inn this evening. I cannot wait to return.
Upon entering, we were greeted warmly immediately. We gave our reservation information and were seated right away. The bar area is very noisy and that was our first impression. The new outdoor seating area is beautiful. We were escorted to a back room, and given a tour and description along the way. The room we were seated in was cozy and warm and quiet. Dinner was delicious and service was impressive. Scott, our waiter, was attentive without being overbearing, charming, and paid attention to detail. I would ask for him again. It was a wonderful night. Welcome back Blue Bell Inn. You did not disappoint.
