I loved it, the service is wonderful. I needed a wheelchair, and the staff was wonderful through out the museum the staff paid close attention to guide me to the elevators, and extremely helpful and informative. I have never felt more pampered.

The animal exhibits were awesome but after that the experience went downhill. If you have the choice avoid the underground exhibit and choose the other option. Other exhibits were not near as interesting.

It's the Field Museum . . . What's not to love?! The only disappointing thing was that Sue (the largest and most complete T-Rex ever discovered to date) was being relocated and we couldn't see her. Still, everything else was great.

The museum has many great exhibits. Yes sue is in a new location, but they do have a viewing window in the human evolution part. You can bring in your own food and I was able to leave get lunch and then come back in. Maximo was just a cast and a pain to photograph, buy still very cool. This museum overall is great. You can do it in one day. You just have to be a little faster. I would look at what they have first so you can budget your time better, because some exhibits are skipable if your not interested. Prepare to spend some money at the gift shop. they are amazing, huge, there's more than one and had the merchandise I wanted and then some. One complaint is the staff is pretty hit or miss. Some are nice. Some are mean. Definitely a must see if your in Chicago.

Awesome place and weather your just visiting the city for a weekend or maybe you haven't been in years you need to go check it out. One of the best museums in the country if not the best. Definitely give yourself enough time to not rush through it. You will need at least a few hours to feel like you didn't skip over large portions. Sue is always a crowd pleaser but the exhibit Maximo rivals her wow factor.

This museum is sheer madness. Both in the overwhelming number of exhibits and in the size of the museum. We had assumed that a normal visit would take about 2-3 hours. Nope! After 8 hours we had just managed two areas and I had the feeling that we are just running from a certain point. It's definitely worth it. However, you should wear comfortable shoes.

It exceeded mt expectations. The place is huge so make sure to take enough time to visit it all. If you have small kids there is a touch and play area for kids which is great. And of course then there's Sue which is the most preserved T Rex ever found!

Great place to check the exhibits, they have upgrading a lot over the years to include more kid friendly and interactive. They have so much to see can easily spend half the day here.

Go! Truly a treasure that shouldn't be overlooked or missed, every American should check it out. Set aside at least 4 hours to do this! There is so much to see you will want to spend your time taking it all in from the evolution of all life on Earth to the Amazing little-known facts of the Tsavo Lions (MUST SEE!!) to the legendary Lucy there is plenty for everyone of all ages. If you care about history at all or Chicago, add this to your list and you won't regret it! Plus they've got a little cafe if you need a snack midway.

So amazing. Have gone here a number of times but the last time I went on my Birthday which happened to be a free day, which they actually have often enough. Not too crowded and it just takes your breath away when you walk in. Actually mummies and awesome exibits. My favorite of all the museums.

Love love love this museum! The selection of exhibits is so great that a single day will not be enough to see them all! Rather, I d recommend picking a few ones and then coming back on another day to see the rest. Moreover, they have changing temporary exhibits of which some are very interactive and great for children. Will definitely be back!!

Really cool Museum! Very interesting! You can see dinosaurs fossils, different animals... There are some limted time exhibitions, I visited on December 2018 and they had one of mummies, one of China, Underground Adventure and more!

Not all that. Too expensive and you can basically get most of these at your local museum if you live in a big city. To be honest, there was too much to see and I got really bored and overwhelmed. It came to a point where I was just zooming by. If you live in Chicago, it is probably worth getting a membership and doing pieces at a time. As a tourist, waste of time in my opinion. So much so that I told my wife to scratch off such museums and also aquariums for that matter on future trips unless I am in Europe and want to see art instead. I wouldn't go back. The food there was expensive too. A cheeseburger alone was $9.50 and didn't come with fries or any other side. On the other hand, the kids meal was affordable. Parking at Soldier Field was $22 for 4+ hours. The dollars start adding up.

A Chicago classic. I have been visiting this museum since I was a kid and I still love visiting. So much to see and learn and experience. The museum also hosts tons of other functions, most recently I was here for a meditation event - such a cool place to do that!

Every time I visit the Field Museum I am impressed. The permanent exhibits like the natural history and dinosaur sections are always fun and interesting. Seeing Sue the T-rex never gets old. Plus, the special exhibits are truly fascinating and are a chance to see something new and educational. The gift shops are neat to roam around, too. The staff are friendly and if you get a chance to speak with them, you'll learn some interesting things and have an enjoyable, personable conversation.

For some reason, on Thursdays, I am super thirstayyy and Nightlife at the Academy of Sciences is the perfect way to start a Thirstday. With some alcohol in your system and a DJ in the main area and some party time with the penguins, it's a guaranteed great time. It doesn't get really busy until 7:30 8 pm ish, but the rainforest exhibit closes the earliest, so I suggest going there first if you want ti go walk around and sip your drink there.

This place has the most incredibly unique collection. We've been twice and still haven't seen it all! Their interactive science lab staff is really great with kids! Overall, a total gem in Chicago.

It is a very fun place to be with a family or by yourself. I only give it four stars because the food courts are slow and not very good. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun day out!

Nice natural history museum. The usual exhibits including dinosaurs, Egypt, earth and the solar system etc. Nice to see a good number of fossils are original and not cast. Same original artifacts in the Egypt exhibit. I managed to visit when the T-Rex was off display but the Titanosaur more than made up for it. Cafe sucked...as always! If you're ever in Lyon the Musee Des Confluence is the only museum in the world (I have found) to have good food. The French don't mess around when it comes to food!

Lost my card there. Field Museum security called me at me at my office to let me know. They held it for me for a week. Still do not know how they know my number , they rock. Bistro staff is also cool. Field brews their own beer - T Rex on the front of the bottle, and all.

Had always loved this place as a child! Now as an adult I appreciate it, and love it even more. As a child I loved to see the Egyptian exhibit and the animals/ birds, dinosaurs. Now as an adult I can truly appreciate it all. The superb collections of Native American history. They have an exhibit from Rhonda Holy Bear; whose art is mind blowing! Remember feeling scared as a child seeing the Native American carved masks and it is quite dark in those rooms. That is to preserve the collections. Even exhibits you might deem boring at first sight are fascinating once you get into it. For example the plants exhibit I thought were just old dusty exhibits. On second glance , it shows how humans have used them and they have helped society as medicines, textiles, food, etc. This museum leaves you with a sense of awe and wonder. I don't think any natural museum in the world can beat it! Yes, even you Smithsonian!

Great
