Been dealing with Zimbrick Volkswagen for the last...

Been dealing with Zimbrick Volkswagen for the last 3 years and everyone that I've dealt with have been a pleasant experience. Everyone from the Service Advisors (Rob Miller, Casey Nimmer, and Brad Smith) to my brand specialist (Kris Fox) I live 10 mins from my local VW dealership and I wouldn't travel 2 hours to come to this specific dealership if it wasn't outstanding. I know if I'm purchasing/leasing another vehicle, I am coming back to this specific dealership. Thanks for everything!

We worked with Scott Ecker, Sales & Leasing Consultant at Zimbrick VW in Madison, WI. We are buying a 2015 VW TDI Beetle. Scott could not be more wonderful! He's accommodating, knowledgable and so fun to work with! Scott has gone above and beyond. We were also able to use the partner and supplier program for the company my husband works for through VW and we were given $1250 discount on the car! Always great customer service! We have leased two vehicles with them for the past five years and recently bought a new vehicle after our lease ended. I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape with 38,500 miles o...

I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape with 38,500 miles on it from this dealership on September 22, 2017. I put 7K down on this vehicle and on good faith, declined the extended warranty. Unbeknownst to me, this make and model has coolant issues that Ford is currently recalling vehicles for. I called Zimbrick VW to see if there was anything they could do for me as I haven't even had the vehicle 6 months. First, I spoke with Dale McIntosh, the salesman I worked with, and he of course played the salesman role, "I'm no mechanic" but said he would have someone (Chad) call me back. Chad never called me back.
I called Ford Headquarters and they said the recall is VIN specific so there is nothing they can do for me.
I took it to a Ford dealership and find out my water pump and heater hose need replacing(!!!). Because Chad never called me, I called Chad and he says since I declined the extended warranty, there is nothing they can do for me.

How did such a serious mechanical issue pass inspection? I will tell you how: this dealership knowingly sold me a money pit and there is nothing they can do for me.

I bought my first new golf here! The entire experience was amazing. Marcel really speaks Volkswagen! I went there on a Saturday to test drive a couple and by Monday I had mine. Chris, Marcel and the rest of the crew there really treated me as family. I really like the no hassle, no pressure approach that they had. Awesome customer service! I am definitely going there for service and future purchases! Thank you for everything! You guys made it happen. I really appreciate it. I'm a proud Volkswagen owner now :)

Terrible experience at Zimbrick Volkswagen in Madison. On the phone they said we could come in for an oil change without an appointment. I clearly told them the make and model of the van. When we got there they said it wouldn t fit on the hoist and we would have to go over to the service department and make an appointment. After waiting 2 hours they started, then stopped because they didn t have an oil filter. So we waited another 45 minutes. 2 big mistakes that cost us 3 hours.

I spend a lot of time in several different states, and have dealt with several VW Dealers. Both of the Zimbrick VW Dealerships (Madison and Middleton) have exceeded any and all expectations. The service departments were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even when I gave them no reason to be (I didn't have any out of pocket expense on any of the visits, so far). I can't say enough how much I appreciated what both locations managed to do for me on such short notice.

My 2013 VW Jetta Hybrid at 118000 had the check engine light on and wouldn t start. The dealership in my town didn t have an appointment for weeks, so we made an appointment for a week out at the Madison East VW. We had the car towed 40 miles there late Sunday evening as the appointment was on a Monday morning. After a few days we didn t hear anything, so we called and were told that they were extremely understaffed. My car sat there until Friday when they finally looked at it. They called my husband and said a flurry of codes came through when read and they quoted the repairs at almost $8000. Shocked, we asked if anything could be done so we could at least drive it home. They said no, they had changed the transmission fluid and it still wouldn t start. We re like ok, what do we owe you we ll have it towed back home. It was a little less than $200. Once towed home, my gear shifter wasn t put back together, the seats were folded down and a Snow Joe snow broom (this was in early October warm weather) was in my trunk pass through for whatever reason (thanks for the free ice scraper/broom?) Once I get my car back together it starts right up. Their inspection of my vehicle noted that my windshield was free of cracks and chips, I have several noticeable chips in my windshield. (Did they even look at my car?) So I start at the top of the list. First issue: battery needs to be replaced. Pull out the battery that says it still has a year of warranty left, took it to be tested 2 places and was told it s fine. So how can I believe anything on that list? I have been driving the car for over 2,000 more miles with no issues. They looked at my car 4 days after my appointment, they carelessly left my car not put back together, said it wouldn t start again, tried to charge me for a battery that didn t need to be replaced ... I m sure my car needs work but I sure wouldn t trust them to do it!

There was an electricity leakage so that I could not even unlock my Passat. After jumping start the car, I left it at Zimbrick VW Madison. They took a look at it and told me that it was the battery not working, and that I had to change a battery, which was not covered by my warranty. It was quite surprising to me because I had just got the car for one year, and I had been taken good care of it. There was absolutely no sign of bad battery before this problem. It was hard to believe the battery simply die all of a sudden. Anyway, I paid $200 for a new battery and drove back home.
The next day I was shocked to find out that there was no electricity again! I had to bring my car in the store once more. And this time they found out there was an leakage inside the electric circuit actually causing the leakage. No one ever mentioned to me about the battery. I didn't know if the battery is really dead.

Good experience overall. Came in a few minutes after they normally stop offering oil changes but they fit me in anyway. The oil change sticker on the windshield was for half the normal interval and the prices are high because it's the dealership. They are generally pleasant to work with.

I had warranty work done. People there really seem to enjoy their jobs and they provide honest, thorough customer care. Everyone, from the managers to the desk clerks to the shuttle driver, was friendly, easy to work with, and honest. There was no pressure or upselling, and my car was returned to me cleaner than when I dropped it off. Very impressed and will definitely be back.

Our family has purchased five vehicles from Zimbrick. What keeps us coming back is the no pressure, family feeling experience. What I mean by this is that all employees call you by your first name. They go out of their way to service you. If you car is going to take a while to be serviced, they will shuttle you somewhere or give you a loaner. They always make me feel they have my best interest at heart. The latest car we purchase was a certified used Jetta. It is just like driving a new car. I highly recommend Zimbrick if you are looking for a new or used car.

Brought it to this VW dealership and the staff was very kind and willing to help. They were able to find the problem right away and fixed the car within hours. Kind, helpful and capable. Over 35 years I have purchased more than 20 cars here. I am so disappointed and will never go there for service They estimated $1600 to replace a windshield wiper motor. I got it done for less than $700 (parts and labor) by a lical mechanic in Clottage Grove. Zimbrick's ran the 24 point service check on Sept 15th. It came back all green. 3 days later the wiper motor failed. When they ran the same 24 point servive check on the 19th, it came back with red in several areas. Besides needing $1600 to replace the wiper motor, it needed over %200 in cabin air filters. I will have that done when I return to AZ. I have a VW dealership here that I can totslly trust

Being a previous owner of a VW Golf, I went to Zimbrick Volkswagen of Madison with the intent that I wanted to test drive a 2020 VW Golf. Scott Ecker, the salesman who I met, was very helpful in explaining the features of the 2020 VW Golf. We went for a test drive and I was very impressed with the car. Scott was able to compare the features of the new car with what I had in my previous Golf model and help me to realize the improvements in the 2020 model.
I was amazed at how easy it was to talk with Scott, and the New Car Sales Manager, Rob Allard. I felt like I was just simply talking with two guys who were very passionate about Volkswagen automobiles, rather than two car salesmen trying to talk me into a quick sale. And that is when I knew I was purchasing my new 2020 VW Golf from the right dealership.
During the paperwork process, I also did not feel like I was being pressured into getting extra add-ons that I didn't really need, and everything during the purchase process was explained to me. I also had the opportunity to talk with a few people in the Service Department, and I felt like we were going to have a comfortable working relationship with keeping my new vehicle running at its full potential.

I have a MKIV Jetta 1.8T GLS, and have been here multiple times for insurance work, warranty work, and general service. They let you bring in your own oil and filters; oil changes cost next to nothing when you do it this way. The prices have always been fair, the work done has always been excellent, and as long as you call ahead, I have always gotten my car in within the next day. I think many people mistake issues with their new car as an immediate reflection of the quality of the dealer; this is not, and should never be the case..they should research known vehicle issues before purchasing. I will continue to take my car here for servicing until I find another group of individuals I trust more.

I bought a 2012 Golf TDI, i had nothing but problems with it so i had to be in there every day telling them the car wan't right from the factory, finally 2 months later they got me a new car and the new car is having issues. I would think twice about buying a car from them. i had to put a complaint in to the BBB before i got my new car.

I feel that there techs don't know what they are doing. i am a big diesel truck Mechanic my self so i know when something is not right.

I'm a frequent customer of Zimbrick VW on Stoughton Road - I live in Baraboo, but drive all the way to Madison, even for an oil change, because I know the service will be done correctly and efficiently the first time! The staff is always very friendly and helpful with any issues, and the service technicians are typically very quick on maintenance turnaround. I will continue to come back to this location as long as I own any European vehicles!

AMAZING. Perhaps the best customer experience ever. The front underbody plate (not sure what it's called) was loose and flapping on my Honda. I have plans for several hours of interstate driving this weekend and really wanted it addressed before that so it didn't get worse or fly off. The dealership where I bought the car (Wilde) wasn't able to get me in till next week. I called Zimbrick Honda and they told me to just stop in with it, no appointment needed, and that they could fix it or see it parts needed to be ordered. I popped into Zimbrick Volkswagen because it's close to my work, hoping they could at least tell me if any parts needed to be ordered before driving across town to the Honda dealership. The problem they discovered was that the last time I had an oil change (at Wilde) the technician didn't replace the clips holding the plate in place. Zimbrick installed new clips to fix it. NO CHARGE. The wait was less than the hour they estimated. I enjoyed coffee and a chair massage while I waited. They also washed my car. I will be looking at Zimbrick when I'm in the market for a new car. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

This is an absolute great group of people to work ...

This is an absolute great group of people to work with from the bottom to the top! I have purchased my last 4 vehicles from these guys in the past 3 years and they have gained a customer for life. They truly treat you like family when you are there. I did have an issue with one of the Certified Pre-Owned vehicles purchased through Zimbrick, however it was handles with the utmost professionalism and I was completely 100% satisfied. I have dealt with everyone in the service from Trish, who is my normal service tech, to Casey and Brad and they are all top-notch people.....extremely courteous. I have also met quite a few of the sales staff and every single one of them have been extremely kind to me and my family. Today I met Lee and Scott E. was my latest salesman......pleasure to meet them both. I don't want to forget the Used Car staff just down the road, because that is where it all started for me. Chris M. has been absolutely wonderful to work with as well as the others in the crew down there. I recently totaled my 2012 Passat TDI(hit by a drunk driver) and welcomed with warm and caring response today while I was buying my newest 2014 Passat TDI. They truly do treat you like family. Great job guys and you will certainly be seeing me hopefully later than sooner....:D

The price of the vehicle and trade in value were both reasonable in my opinion. Need to watch for the bait and switch. I test drove a 2019 vehicle. Was told for around $1500 I could get the same vehicle. Turns out the 2020 was not. It lacks the overhead camera view and some other features. Pretty disappointed about being misled.

No weird sales tricks here. I haggled with Bergstrom during their June 3000 sale and was told I was getting their "all in" pricing. Zimbrick beat Bergstrom by $2,000 up front. No messing around. Marcel is educated on the brand and easy to work with.

I worked with Dale McIntosh who is very customer service oriented. He listened to what I needed and delivered! I never felt pressured to purchase and he was great at explaining many features on the vehicle I bought. Brian in Finance was thorough and quick which I appreciate as no one likes to sit around pushing papers around. Chad the Sales Manager also introduced himself which was a nice touch. It's nice to see a group come together and work as a team. I give my overall experience a 4/5 stars. The customer lounge/waiting area could use some updating to make the experience a 5/5. Hopefully Zimbrick will do some updating to this location to make the entire experience superior to the rest of the dealerships in Dane County.

I wanted a new 2017 Tiguan but I had some serious challenges due to a lot of negative equity on the car I had at the time. The staff at Zimbrick in Stoughton Rd. were extremely helpful in answering all my questions, helping me consider all the options without ANY pressure at all. I received the best service I have ever received from any car dealer. I have bought cars in two other dealers in current years and the service was nowhere near to the top-notch service I received at Zimbrick. The staff at Zimbrick is friendly, helpful and professional. I have the new car and a payment I afford comfortably, and all thanks to a team effort. Kris and BJ you're the best!

Poor service, used express oil change, took more than 75 minutes. That is not express. Rude customer to service, over priced service for oil change. Zimbrick in Sun Prairie performed more services and same oil change at a cheaper rate with excellent customer service.

I bought a 2016 VW Jetta with Marcel May who was absolutely wonderful. We laughed the whole time and he made sure I never felt pressured to buy anything. He found and sold me exactly what I wanted, not just what he had on the lot. A couple days later I notice a rattle in the car (long story but not Marcel's fault) so I bring it into the shop where I worked with the service consultant, Brad Smith. He was also absolutely wonderful. He was super professional and assured me I wasn't crazy for complaining about a rattle. The problem was covered under warranty and he took care of everything. I have just been amazed at how great this whole experience has been. Five stars well-earned.

I've looked around and found that you can always trust you're getting the best price, that you will be treated fairly and have an excellent customer experience when buying from Zimbrick Volkswagen of Madison. You matter to them, even after the sale. Dale McIntosh sold me a 2016 Certified VW Tiguan and my wife and I love it. The Team let us take it home, in Beloit (40+ miles away), to make sure it fit in the garage, worked for our paper routes, and addressed our concerns as they arose. They took their time and listened to us. And got us about $75 under our budget. You will not find a better Sales team than the one at Zimbrick VW of Madison. Highly recommended!

I can t say enough good things about the service department. I can honestly say that they have exceeded expectations each time I ve taken my vehicle in for even the smallest thing. They have finished any work ahead of when they said it would be done and at or below what they estimated. Customer for life. We have also bought three vehicles here and had the same great experience with the sales team.

I recently purchased a vehicle from here and the experience was exceptional! I worked with Marcel, who was incredibly helpful, patient and did everything he could to accommodate our needs as buyers. You can tell he truly loves the brand, while also ensuring a positive customer experience! Buying a car can often be stressful, or feel gimmicky but that wasn t the case here at all! So... What a fool am I. My check engine light came on. I took it into them. We started at $400 and by the end of the day it was almost $900. Which they did knock down to 725. But still. I picked it up on Friday and by Tuesday its back on.
Also I went through the paperwork I was given. Just found a line that says "Engine Oil and/or Fluid Leaks" that has a red X next to it. Which according to the legend means Requires Immediate Attention. SERIOUSLY. Why would you not bring that to my attention when you had it in and were working on it.
This is my Car. This is how I get to work every day. I have had to take off work two days and been late two days because of work that needed to be done. I have had to bring it back once because work was not done that was agreed on. Now I am having to bring it back in after being told it was finished again.
I feel like I am paying for your Mechanical Guess Work right now. Not to mention you let me leave your shop when I had a Leak that according to your Paperwork States it needs Immediate Attention.

Had a great experience. Really friendly and knowledgeable. Scott Ecker; my sales person made it super easy to understand the finances and payments options even before I decided to purchase. Came back the next weekend to look at the same vehicle and Scott really tries to help us save some money...discount for partnerships with certain companies. I was able to save/discount $500. The application process was a breeze. Was approved right away. Super cool guy. Really happy with my new vehicle - 2020 VW Jetta GLI.
