Delicious food and very friendly quick service. People are quick to count it off as "average" but I found the place to be delightful. Do not be taken in by snobby reviewers. Head over to zen zero, you will love it!

You can't find Tibetan food anywhere else. The thukpa was *ALMOST* as good as my mom makes, and that's something worth commending. The menu is loaded with variety. This should be your go-to for everything Asian.

After living in KC for 5 years, Zen Zero induced my family to drive 45 minutes to enjoy their fantastic menu once again. The Green Papaya Flank Steak w/Wasabi Mashed Potatoes, the Thai Style Sweet & Sour, and the Cashew Chicken are reliably some of the tastiest dishes I've ever tasted, and never have I ever had a meal badly cooked or anything not made with the freshest ingredients, and always delivered with a smile. To make things even more perfect, when my party mentioned a gluten intolerance, our server pulled out a list of items on the menu that were gluten free. This restaurant always pops into my head first when someone asks "what is your favorite restaurant?". I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

So I ordered their Dry Chicken Curry in here for the first time. I was happy to eat a curry after a long time. Unfortunately, they served the curry s potatoes part ice cold. It was cold that my teeth hurt. I told the server and she was nice to me and offered me to change to another one even did not say sorry to me. But after a few minutes their manager or other server come to me and said they serve the potatoes cold with the curry!! I mean I have been in Thailand before, they never served a food mixed with cold and hot!!! Also, very disappointed with their attitude. Will never come here again.

I have been going to Zen Zero since it opened. Best Flan I have ever had...but that is for another review.

I went in yesterday and ordered what I have ordered for 50+ times, the Singapore Noodles. However, this time the dish was served a bit more spicy than what i felt was normal. I mentioned to the waitress as to my 'concern' for other patrons that the dish was extra spicy today. She told me that she would take it back and serve me another....but, I didn't want to come across as a light-weight, so I told her, not to mind, I could finish.....

the waitress came back with a new order that was made without the sprinkle of chili powder...then packed the order i had been eating. Not a frown but only a smile as she did her best to ensure I was a happy customer.

Looking forward to my next 50+ visits. And the flan is to dye for.

Ordered $50.00 worth of food and we were very disappointed. The Pad Thai seemed to be just noodles tossed in ketchup with a few specs of green and some peanuts, barley any chicken. It was bland. I actually called after weighing the shrimp in my meal, tails off, to ask if that's really the amount of shrimp you are supposed to get. It came to 1.8 oz of shrimp, the "large" shrimp. The guy on the phone's attitude was like how dare you question our food, and I told him I'd never eat there again. He says "really man???" and started to say something in a whiny voice when I hung up on him. I should have listened to myself last time when we went in and had a rude waitress that tried to argue with me about a $6 mistake on the bill that was HER FAULT. She didn't even apologize, and I did not tip her. People go here for the atmosphere and intricate menu, but they must be mostly vegetarians that don't feel screwed. Go to Bann Thai and get real food and service. They give you twice the amount of shrimp, plus some.

I m only 12 years old and I make my mom drive here from Olathe 2 times every week. Brett is my favorite bartender, he makes the best bubble tea ever! The food is amazing but if you come here, you MUST try the bubble tea!!!

Love the food here - so tasty. Most dishes can be made with either: tofu, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp (or) a combo of shrimp & meat. The staff is knowledgeable. The drinks are great. The place is fairly small & can be pretty crowded with a wait during peak times. Good vegetarian options. Most dishes are rice or noodle dishes. There are also soups, salads, appetizers, & a small dessert selection.

Food is not what is used to be. I truly believe they ve changed chefs even though the waitress claims they haven t (maybe while she was working there). Anyway, I have eaten Pad Thai over the past several years, but last week their Pad Thai was awful !!!!!! Over cooked noodles tasted like it was in a tomato sauce and soupy. I sent my dish back as it was not eatable. Was very disappointed. However, I love their raw roll wraps with their house peanut sauce. Oh and one more thing, I order the house salad with Peanut sauce but the sauce was not peanut even though the waitress claimed it was. I m a food connoisseur & have excellent knowledge of food as I ve travelled both inside & outside the U.S.& eaten in 2 - 4 star restaurants. I m no fool! I do not enjoy leaving negative feedbacks.but have to be honest. That s my two cents.

I have tried many entrees here but I haven't found anything that I like. I realize I am in the minority because most people love it. I went last week and the chicken in my dish had no seasoning and tasted warmed over. My husband said the same thing about the chicken in his entree.

Always great service and food. Personally live their duck specials and soups. Plenty of great specialty drinks to pair with the food. Do not ignore the specials board. Let them take you an a taste adventure!

Whenever I am in the mood for Pad Thai or spice Shrimp Chips, Zen Zero is the place to go. The regular Tofu Pad Thai is always good, the portions are large and the Bubble Tea is arguably the best in town.

It wasn't good but it wasn't bad. I switched dishes with someone and surprise! They barely tasted different. It was an average sized portion I guess. One of the people I went with got pad thai and it was a huuuuuge portion. My waiter was super frazzled even though it wasn't a particularly busy night. He said he would go get my boyfriends coffee 3 times before he actually came back with it. Also we got the tofu appetizer and it wasn't worth however much it costed. It was literally just heavily fried (too crunchy) tofu with some thin tasteless sauce. Heard about this place for so long and was let down.

Zen zero was my first intro to Thai food almost 15 years ago when I came to Lawrence to see yonder mountain string band at liberty hall. I ordered the mussaman curry and I ve been coming back since. I must ve had dinner here 100 times, and I just moved to Lawrence 6 months ago! Huge portions fair prices and I haven t ordered a bad meal, not once. It s not Thailand authentic Thai food it s fusionish but still always delish. I recommend the pad sae ew or yellow curry with mango when they have it. Oh and it s fast and free shrimp chips appetizer.

The restaurant is my favorite and usually staff is absolutely amazing but tonight our waitress was something else. Waiting on her to finish eating her food so we could get our check and leave. She left her chow spot to get herself a drink and didn't look our way. I will always love zen zero and like I said staff is usually amazing and also our table was super sticky and we tried cleaning it off with napkins that I had to get up and get and our glasses of water. Never had a bad experience until tonight. I will definitely come back in the future because the food is amazing but I might get it to go.

The service is great and the prices are very fair. If you like Cury this the right place in Lawrence. Plus try thier specials they are always great and different

Good food for a good price. Some servers lack compared to others, I have asked to be seated with certain servers. After just watching for a moment you can spot the bad ones.. The drinks are always great and with a little different flare than other restaurants.

Formerly the best Thai food in town. Coconut curry chicken and chicken pad Thai are (were) my favorites, but my last visit ended with extremely painful stomach problems for both me and my wife. Will not return for quite some time. Prices are very reasonable and I love the atmosphere.

My husband and I have been eating at Zen Zero since it opened, and we love it. But last night (Dec. 1) I ordered my usual Red Curry and it was so dry and tasteless that I fed most of it to my chickens. My husband said his yellow curry was as good as usual. I'm hoping that it was just a bad night and not some change in recipe, but it makes me not want to go back for a while.
