Awesome food, every time, and I always get something different. They've always had tables ready and service is fast. Love this place!

One of my favorite places in Lawrence. Usually stop in when I'm in town.

Excellent Service! Had it for the first time today and asked if they could make my pad Thai with a different oil than a soy based. They were happy to make it with sesame oil instead and made sure the cook knew too. Awesome place will be back plenty more times!

The Drunken Noodles have brought me back to Zen Zero far too many times than I'd like to admit. I've tasted Drunken Noodles at multiple restaurants in Kansas City, but Zen Zero has had the best to offer. The portions are very large (enough for me to eat three meals) and the restaurant is cute and has a lot of culture packed inside of it.

I would like to put out there that I haven't tasted very many other items on the menu, but the few that I have were not phenomenal. The only thing that brings me back are those Drunken Noodles.

You can get a very wide variety of specialty dishes from southren Asia. great option for those interested in exploring the food options of Thailand and Malaysia. Shrimp chips are offered as a palette cleanser and are a fun way to try out some of the fun sauces on the various dishes.

It's a little loud. The salad I ordered was yummy, but was very large. I would prefer smaller portion size for less expensive price or a half size even.

Came here for lunch around 1pm and it was pretty busy. Waited about 7 minutes for a table for two. Didn't take long for drinks and menus but seemed like after food that we were no longer a priority. Service was friendly but we were forgotten about while sitting in the little table in the back. Good tea! Food was above average but not amazing. Sauces were bland and may have just benefited from a little salt. We ordered the veggie momo which was very tasty! But the sauces at were served could certainly benefit from some more garlic and seasoning. We ordered Phad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) which were very rich in chicken seasoning but quite tasty! Served steaming hot in a smaller bowl but don't let it fool you it's deep! I also ordered Yellow curry which was very basic and nothing too special. Yummy jasmine rice served at room temperature. Would come back but not in a hurry. I love all he options you have to choose from.

Review 2019: everything was perfect this time. Service was prompt, dinner was hot and fresh. Pace of meal was as expected! This is truly a favorite restaurant of mine in Lawrence and everyone should experience the for here.

Reviewed 2017: I arrived at 5:45 pm to an almost full restaurant, two my friends had met us and gotten a table just before us arriving, they got a bottle of wine, and ordered an appetizer, the server proceeded to tell them it would be a while until they got their bottle of wine. When I arrived, we weren't greeted for 10 minutes to even get a glass of water. It was about a 55 minute wait for our food to be prepared... We only had 3 entrees! About 25 minutes into ordering, I double checked with the server, and he proceeded to print the check showing me he'd placed the order, he explained the kitchen was down a cook. One of our 4 guests at the table, got their food 'early' (45 minute wait)and we expected the rest of our food to be on it's way, instead, he sat for approximately 10 minutes with food before the other two entrees arrived.

All in all.. the food was still good but I cannot excuse the poor service, management for not visiting the table after I questioned the extended food delay, or the disorganized kitchen. Down one employee does not cause this much failure to execute. I'll come back to give this place another chance.

Used to love this place, went there recently to terrible service and very unappatising and bad tasting food. Would never recomend

Zen zero is one of my favorite places to eat! They have a wide variety of dishes and can make anything to order. I cannot recommend them enough!

Zen Zero is an acquired taste. Some of the dishes are great, and some are terrible. If you can put up with some experimentation to figure out what you like, this may turn into one of your "go to" spots (it certainly is for my wife and I). Staff is friendly, they accommodate dietary restrictions. Prices are relatively low and you get a lot of food. I find their house sake to be terrible. So four stars once you get your bearings, but not my first choice for out of town guests.

I'm a big fan of Nepalese and Indo-Tibetan food, so when I saw that this restaurant served Nepali food, albeit just one item on the menu, I was very excited and eager to try! I recently ordered the dry chicken curry (Nepali thakali style curry). It was absolutely disgusting. Nothing like any thakali curry, poorest imitation, ever. Probably the worst food I've ever eaten in Lawrence, KS. To be fair, the other Asian options on the menu are decent, just stay away from this thakali disaster!!

Quality ingredients make for an authentic and creative Asian cuisine experience. If you love Thai, Indian, and Japanese, this will be come a fast favorite and a must to revisit. Very Vegetarian friendly. Ambience and excellent service with a knowledgeable and engaging staff. Of 35 countries I have visited, this is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Well done.

Great place, amazing Phad thai. The mixed drinks are fun and they have drink specials during the day. Been here twice now and plan on coming back soon.

Zen zero is healthy and inexpensive, and the service is wonderful! The food tastes amazing and I go there about every week. I love it!

This Mass St. staple continues to be one of my top picks for Asian food in Lawrence, KS. Friendly staff, delicious food, and some of the best bubble tea in town. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Great selection of noodle dishes and curries. Comes with tofu unless you add other protein. Something for everyone. Spice levels vary. Our waitress was great! Recommend the panang curry.

Service is alright. Food is inconsistent. Sometimes the fresh spring rolls are soft and delicious. Other times the rice paper is chewy and feels like they were made many hours ago. Meat can be textury Mostly delicious if they could be consistent.

Zen has been in business for many years here in Lawrence and has maintained a high standard. Great staff and service and great food to match. If you like Oriental food, this should be in your list.

Great Thai and other SE Asian dishes. If you are with GF people, the menu is clearly marked. Lots of vegetarian options, too.

Passing through Lawrence and wanted something different. Was impressed with the attention of the server, very friendly and professional. I ordered the pad Thai which was very good, way too much food for me, but very well prepared and tasted great!! Will definitely return and probably bring some friends next time!

Zen Zero is clean, friendly and DELICIOUS. I'm not usually a fan of Asian fusion, but my girlfriend brought me there and it was fantastic. Very reasonably priced given the quality of the food. If you are visiting Lawrence (or live here) I would strongly recommend that you go there at least once. The peanut sauce is particularly delicious, as well as the salmon and sushi.

And if you read the bad reviews... you can kind of see the snobbish flavor to them. I suppose if you are looking for some idyllic paradise on earth to eat at, you might be a little disappointed...

Good Thai food. I went here for lunch for the first time last week and it wasn't as good as dinner. Probably a different cook.

As always, excellent food and service! The friendly waiter suggested the fried pork momos to start and they were delicious. My SO and I each got an order of the green curry with rice and chicken. This is such a wonderfully flavored and presented dish. Service was fast and we were happy.

Thai hot is the way to go if you are looking to warm yourself up. The Drunken noodles are great!

The service was more than excellent! I don't know jack about thai food and the dude did us right. It was really good food, value was awesome and we didn't have to wait and they were BUSY. I will spend my money there again. Would definitely recommend any body eat there.

I've been eating at Zen Zero for years. The food has always been great. Service is good and the staff are friendly. It's kind of a small place so you may have a bit of a wait during peak times, but it's always been worth it.

The service is terrible. It is scary to be honest. If you want to have a good evening and avoid poor service, I would not recommend this place.

Lovely waitress and the food was phenomenal! Not too busy and crowded which allowed for a great quiet dinner with amazing food.

Always love this place. We used to live closer but now my husband and I drive from KC just to eat here. The rice flour calamari can't be beat! Atmosphere is always chill, staff are friendly, just a great experience.

We haven't eaten there in about a year and unfortunately the food was not as good as I remembered. The Singapore noodles have always been my favorite but this time they were really dry and sticky. The service was great, though!

When I go to places that serve Pad Thai I always order it and this place was no exception. It was comparable to the best Pad Thai I have ever eaten (I add beef to my order) and I seriously think I'm developing an addiction. I usually add the hot chili sauce they have at the table to my order because I like mine to be spicy.

Service wise it has always been good, the first time we went there it wasn't terribly busy and our server was on the ball fast and probably one of the best servers I've ever had. (tipped him 25%). Another time during a super busy rush, understandably the service wasn't as good but still not bad either!

If you love pad thai as much as I do and you've been looking for a place around Lawrence to satisfy your craving look no further, Zen Zero is here.
