Just as I remember from when i was a child. Even the little plastic animals on the ice cream at the end of your meal!

We did the family-style option, which is where the server brings every buffet option to the table. The other choice is to order a single entree from the menu. Cost difference between the two is only slight. Fried chicken was awesome. They offer a gluten-free grilled chicken option also (we didn't try this). Decent kids menu options. Great fast service. We went on a Thursday night and waited less than 10 mins.

I don't get the hype. It's a cool experience but the chicken isn't phenomenal like many claim.

At busy times you can have a long wait, but the food is great, service great and view/ambiance all great as well. Not cheap.
Really weird inconvenient that they can not text/page you when table is ready!

Got in right away because we had a reservation. The food was nothing more than okay. Based on the rating I was expecting mindblowing but got nothing more than decent. The amount of food that gets wasted because they just bring out everything rather than asking what you like/dislike is rediculous! Not worth waiting hours to get in for a meal in my opinion

Can't beat zehnders! Lovely atmosphere, both inside and out! Wonderful food! We try to get there several times each year!

What a wonderful place! Service was superb, food excellent and a Christmas atmosphere. It brought back wonderful memories of stopping there as a child 50 years ago. Was magical then, still is.

Best chicken dinner you'll find anywhere & the atmosphere is amazing.

The food and service are great at Zender's. The wait time for a table can be significant during peak times. The cost of a meal is expensive, as well.

Had our annual birthday family style dinner. As in the past we ate way too much! We love Zehders!

Food was excellent, other than no white meat chicken five backs/ thighs, a leg and a tiny wing. Service was abysmal, I think his name was lee to loud in the bar for this individual? Started dinner on Friday March 13 at 6:25 and walked away at 7:30 without dessert. Did we get enough chicken, no. By the time it arrived we had lost our appetite. Drinks was refilled once. Asked the bartender for a check, I have to go look for your server? Came back says you had a chicken or turkey club? I turn to look at my daughter and our table say no. Clearly not on the ball here. Second guess was correct. Paid my $55.00 dollar bill and left. Would I recommend, sure but be forewarned that Zehnder's feel dinner should last over a hour and bring entertainment for children and male family members.

Food was good but a bit plain for my tastes. Great servive.

The foid and atmosphere are great. They also have an amazing bakery and gift shop.

Great Dinners. Eat downstairs at the deli, best deal in town.

Helena ate it all including the liver pate. There was even a dog eating with us. Excellent service!

The food was awesome and unbelievably plentiful. The service was top drawer and the prices were reasonable. Well worth the 260 mile round trip! We WILL return.

The chicken IS good. I like to eat at the Z-cafe downstairs for a quick lunch.

Down stairs faster service fresher food and great people. A must if your eating there.also can carry out .

Slow had a reservation for 7 and it took 45 minutes to get seated. Maybe make a 1 1/2 eating limit. And there's 5 dining room's that could be used. Awful never goin back

Very fun and a lot for the kids to do. Everyone was very hospitable and nice. We will definitely be going back. Their restaurant food was very good and the hotel has a shuttle to drive you there and back. Great for kids of all ages!

Stopped in cafe. My wife was having soup and asked about the included dinner roll, server rudely finely got a dinner roll.
Attitude was very negative.
I was put off and did not eat there at all.

Nice environment. Friendly staff. But food was mediocre at best.

Was not feeling well but didn't want my husband to miss this fabulous chicken dinner at the close of our weekend getaway to Frankenmuth. Our server was amazingly sweet and took great care of us both. I would give her a shout out, but can't find my receipt with her name on it

Went to Zehnder's on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019.
Needless to say we were disappointed with the take out chicken served from the basement buffett. Chicken reminded me of deep fried shake-and-bake. Chicken was overcooked and dry. Sides were pretty good. Next year when attending the Octoberfest we will get sides from Zehners and go to KFC for chicken. Come on Zenders, you are a 60+ year institution. Pay attention to quality control. If you have to charge more... do it.

This is one of a kind dining. Unmatched food and service. We go there every year on Black Friday for a wonderful dinner

We came here to eat as a family everything was dry and had no seasoning.

Service is great but the food is really bland. No flavor in the chicken whatsoever. Sides are dished out with a scoop and cheapens the presentation.

Amazing food and downstairs bakery- also has gluten free bakery items that are amazing!! Highly recommend! Family friendly and located in a fun place to walk around and explore.

Another wonderful Dinner At Zenders not much a chicken person so I get the schnitzel very good and they give several sides with the meal.I'm sure there's something there that you will enjoy? Well it's time to go walk all this food off? Try it you will enjoy it.

Birthday time for My wife and my mom.
The food was scrumptious And it looked enjoyable.
And our waitress was great. Even though I ordered a plate of food, she gave me the same treatment as if I had ordered a all-you-can-eat.
I very seldom leave a 25% tip on the gross bill, but because of this waitress, I gave her a bigger tip that I would normally give to a waitress.
Overall, We were very pleased with our experience at Zehnder's.

I would not say the chicken is as fantastic as everyone claims it is. It is good, but nothing special. The food was all good in general. I had the sunday buffet, and the only disappointment was the desserts. They could have been better, and could have been presented better as well.

The chicken was....alright. the ambience and service was great, the chicken schnitzel was real good, if overpriced.

Prompt service, made reservations. Patti our server was the best!! The shops on the lower level were hreat!

Every trip to Michigan includes a stop to Zehnders. By far, one of my favorite places!

The hostess, Collin, was unpleasant and rude. He misinformed us and then argued with me about it. He told me the dining room had at least an hour wait. I asked if we could sit in the bar area and he said yes I can get you a table at noon. He said the bar doesn't open until noon. We arrived at 11:25 so obviously a half hour wait is better than an hour. At 11:50 everyone was seated that were in line, there was no wait but we were still waiting. When I approached him, he began arguing with me that he didn't tell me the wait would be that long and then proceeded to tell me that we now couldn't be seated in the bar until 12:15. When we finally walked into the bar to be seated, the bar was full of people finishing their meals. His behavior and lack of knowledge for his position was very unfortunate.

We have had great experiences in the past at Zehnder's and are hopeful we won't ever experience something like this in the future.

Chicken tasted like flour, not impressed this time, seems like they hurried everything in the kitchen. Potatoes weren't hot,lukewarm. Noodles not hot. Just a bad experience this time

Great experience. Got my beer is a chilled mug and it hit the spot. All of the servers are dressed as if you just stepped right into Germany. I had the sausages with spaetzle and onion soup. It was a filling, great stop in our trip!

All the food is worth driving for. The cabbage salad is bomb.

April, waitress of 23 years for is great! We got the 2 piece chicken meal. I was surprised chicken tastes unseasoned, but gravy made up for missing salt and Zhenders chicken seasoning found in a bottle on the table. The Stollen bread was good! Make sure you give them your name at the desk before you get in line.
