Ad a great time and the waiter did an excellent job for us. Robin has always been great fulfilling my requests and if she can't she always helps to make our visit a great one.

Wasn't quite sure what all the hype was about. Food was kind of bland, and way overpriced. Chicken was dry. I didn't feel like they were really on top of social distancing as they should be.

Good was awful, served cold and way over priced! Would have had much better chicken at KFC and for a lot less money. Will not be back.

Waitress excellent, but food was just okay. Bavarian Inn across the street is a little better.

Do not let them take you downstairs, don't care what they say food and service is no where near the same. Very dry reheated chicken no thanks.

If for some reason I was on death row, the family style dinner would be my requested last meal.

Very busy place and equally friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and we'll prepared. Great beer menu and atmosphere. Can't wait to return for shopping the bakeries. Unique German items, keepsakes, jewelry, kids toys, wines. Cherry wine looked interesting and something to try next time

This was our first time visiting Zehnder's. It was also our last. The food was horrible. The chicken had no taste at all. No seasonings on any of the food. It was our Anniversary and we were so disappointed. The best thing was the mashed potatoes. Our waitress was a sweetheart. She brought us a slice of cake for dessert to help celebrate.

A staple restaurant in Frankenmuth if you have the time to spare this is a must see in Frankenmuth the food is great and the staff is awesome.

What an experience! Great food, great service and atmosphere.

Been coming here since 1977. I have to say the busier they are the better the food. When you go at an off time the chicken is dry and the other dishes are often served Luke warm. Try something other than the chicken. They have a very good perch dinner and the sausage platter is excellent as well.

Played for a half day at splash village and went to zehnders for our birthday dinner. They never fail to have great service and top notch food. A+

Normally the food is excellent, but this day was a miss. The soup tasted like water, the chicken had no seasoning and was dry. We'll try again after all this covid.

My husband and I were there last night and we were not happy, we sat in the basement and decided on the buffet meal. It was our anniversary and we were looking forward to a nice meal. It was awful, The meat was all way over done and the food was tasteless. The best part was the sherbet. On top of that it was very expensive, neither of us were at all impressed. I was there a few years back and it was good then, what happened?

My daughter & I always enjoy our trip to Frankenmuth every Oct. We love the buffet at Zehnder's on the weekends.Love the whole town.

We stopped here for the first time for dinner. The restaurant is quite spaced out but some portions were so close to each other. The server was nice and friendly. The veggie quesadillas were really yum and kids loved their plate too. It was overall a good experience.

Fantastic place to visit.Make sure to stop in the bakery. Won't be disappointed. Don't be afraid to spend more. Still worth it. May I suggest the crumb cakes A1.

Great place for families. The kids loved it and already want to go back. It was very clean and the people were nice.

They all you can eat chicken dinner is the bomb - a must do in Frankenmuth. I wouldn't bother with reservations, the wait isn't that long.

Highly recommended old time charm in traditional German American feel. But the little Scottish Kilt shop was super fun also! Amazing food carriage rides! All around a great time!

The atmosphere and the outfits were cute but the food was meh. We wouldn't go back anytime soon. The chicken was okay but the potatoes tasted like something out of a Betty Crocker box and the stuffing was not that inviting either. The staff was pleasant & it was a clean restaurant but not too sure what all the hype is - sorry!

Amazing chicken dinner! Great selection of other great dishes as well. Definitely our get away comfort food restaurant!

Edit: Went to Zehnders today and was amazed by the how our waitress, Sam was. She was always making sure that we were enjoying our meal. I know that Zehnders saw my original review but I would like Sam (Samantha) to get recognized for her amazing personality and how nice and attentive she is. We got the buffet so she didn't need to be so attentive because she didn't need to bring any food but she was always asking if we were enjoying our meal. We've had waiters and waitresses at other restaurants who deliver our food and don't do anything else. So for her to return to the table and make sure we were doing fine I thought was really nice of her.

Original:Everything is great especially when you go Sundays because they have a buffet and there's more food than what's on the normal menu. If you go there expect to spend more money than originally planning because there is extra stuff you can buy in the basement. Also if you go on the weekend than reserve a seat,because if you don't than expect a 30 min-1 hr wait for seating. Waiters are always so nice and kind. Food is also delicious always and the restaurant is right next to a lot of other amazing places.

Fun place to go with family or a group of people. Great at the Holiday!!!

All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was neat, clean, and well stocked with the essentials. The attached Elf Hollow restaurant is open late and the food is good, albeit a tad pricey. Though I did not catch her name, the maid on our floor was a sweetheart. We needed an extra bag for wet/dirty clothes and she was very kind about giving us two extras so we were sure to have enough. Water parks were awesome and have something for everyone. They have baby swings that hang low enough for the babies can get just their feet in and huge water slides that can fit a family raft in. Calm lazy river to a REALLY FUN "lazy river" that has such a good current, our family was racing around it for almost an hour only to come back a while later to do it more. They also have this play structure that has water coming from a bunch of interactive faucets, water guns, turn wheels and buckets.

Definitely will go back again with my family!

This was a great place to have dinner the chicken was absolutely delicious. The servers were top notch and took care of our group regularly no matter how busy service got they always managed to visit every 20 minutes to make sure we had everything we needed. Everyone working there was super friendly and very professional. Definitely worth going to if you find yourself going to Frankenmuth.

Food was ok, not worth $30 per person. I told my husband since we've been coming here for years he should try if he was curious. It's just a place that you have to experience once and that's it. If you expect real GERMAN FOOD, it is definitely not! Best way to describe it is, typical American Thanksgiving dinner at grandMAW'S house - The cranberry chutney was impressive as was the shrimp. My husband said the chicken just tasted like chicken. Nothing special. If you want real German fare, and you're a foodie, Metzgers in Ann Arbor is worth looking into as far as authenticity. We respect that Zehnders is a staple of F'muth, but again is overhyped imo.

The chicken is highly overrated. I don't know why I've been lied to by all of these people who claim it's the best. Go for the smoked sausage and kraut instead, it's a better choice. The Mac and cheese is bomb! If you want the best fried chicken in Michigan than drive yourself to Gus' World famous fried chicken in Detroit, it's a new branch off of the one in Memphis! Now that's amazing chicken!

Food and service superb! Make sure you go in really hungry!

Something didn't seem right about the chicken. It had a taste life of one day. Almost like it is purchased with a one day expired date, because some places know they will sell it out. I could be wrong. The food was. Not good at all. I'm sorry this is just my thoughts. Ps. The mashed potatoes tasted like salt. The waiting staff was great won't take anything away from them. They were great.

Been coming here a few times a year since the late 70's. We still love it.

The food was great, and the beer was refreshing. It's hard to go wrong with bottomless fried chicken.

However, it was frustrating that I wasn't able to use a discount coupon. The waitress said that it couldn't be applied, because it was expired. However, the expiration date was right on the coupon, and it was clearly good for at least another month. It didn't make any sense.
