Boiled and fried chicken in an outdated building. Very basic. Grandparents like it though.

Incredibly slow service! Seated at 6:00pm, water brought at 6:20, drinks finally at 6:40!, Food order taken at 6:50, food delivered at 7:30!, Dessert ordered at 8:25, delivered at 8:40. Finally out of there at 9:00pm. Absolutely ridiculous. Food only average, prices at $24-26/plate.
Go somewhere else...

Love this place. We drive up to Frankenmuth 2 or 3 times a year for a chicken dinner. Always great food great prices. Great service

Winner winner, chicken dinner! Go here often. We skip the lines and eat in the bar. No wait and in the bar you can order just a single dinner plate for around 13 bucks, rather than the family style dinner at 25. Great food!

We picked this restaurant today. The wait was only 10 minutes. The food is great. Service was fast.

Snowfest was fun but all was melting fast. Stores were interesting.

Such a fun place to visit. Kids love seeing the old time outfits and decorations. The meals are great, served family style, so you can please even picky eaters because they can eat more of what they like. It keeps everyone happy.

Zehnder's of Frankenmuth has not changed much over the years, but I think that is kind of the allure with Frankenmuth as a whole. Zehnder's has so much history, and I have had the pleasure of meeting Al Zehnder, Chairman and CEO, while I was attending college at Northwood University.

Every time I go back to Frankenmuth, I have to go to Zehnder's for their buttered noodles with bread crumbs!! I have never found a recipe like it! They have such a family atmosphere here, and I have also had the pleasure of seeing behind the scenes while planning our Stafford Dinner event Northwood's hospitality program puts on every year.

They support students in college, especially focusing in hospitality, and provide jobs to select students from our program. Al Zehnder knows all of his employees names - hundreds of employees - from the managers all the way down to the dishwashers.

Enjoy the theme and take a step back in time. You'll never find an environment like it!

I always go here for my free birthday dinner with my husband who has his as well the same month. Every year they honor both birthday dinners and service is still amazing! Thanks you! We keep coming back!

We loved the atmosphere but the dinner was not very good for the price. A few of the foods that came with the chicken dinner tasted good. the main item of the dinner , the chicken was not good at all. I agree with the other post , kfc is much better.

The chicken is not bland if you use their chicken seasoning that they provide at the table for you. That's what it's for. The food is fantastic!!!!

Good family style chicken dinner, definitely give you a good variety of things to eat. Breads, slaw and soup to start with, then fried chicken, stuffing and mashed potatoes. They even give you buttered noodles which were quite delicious, followed by ice cream or sherbet for dessert. A bit pricey, but a lot of food for a meal.

I had High hopes thinking there dinner was gonna be great. It was just less than average and very over priced. It wasnt very busy just not so good. At least its off the bucket list.

Love Zehnder's but disappointed the bakery has almost nothing left when we finished lunch at 3:30.

Love the cafe in the lower level can have a chicken lunch/dinner without all you can eat and a lot cheaper

There food is alright....I don't recommend any sandwiches they are bland and tasteless....order what they are famous for there chicken and mashed potatoes cause u can't go wrong with that and MAKE a reservation cause it will save you an hours wait.....and make sure you check out their bakery and gift shop downstairs.

A chicken lovers heaven! Zhender's is famous for their family style chicken dinners. We usually make a yearly trip to Frankenmuth, and we always stop to get a chicken dinner. The food is THAT good and the service is friendly. Depending on the time of day and/or time of year the line may be long but its worth the wait. Depending on how many people you go with they offer individual meals or family meals. It tends to me a little more on the pricey side, but like i said it's worth every penny.

One of two restaurants when visiting Michigan family for German food and an enjoyable experience. It is clean, kid friendly and great for large family gatherings. Don't forget to check out the shops downstairs for those who like the kitzy stuff. It is handicap accessible. Staff are extremely Midwestern friendly and helpful.

Went for our first time this year and we were able to snag the buffet option for Saturday's only. So crazy the amount and options of food you have to enjoy. Staff was friendly and was very helpful since they knew we were new there.

They have a Birthday Club. Sign up well before the month your Birthday is in and they will.send you a card that you can show to receive an all can water family style Chicken Dinner. The food a always good and the service is also good.

Brunch buffet had so many tasty options! Even my picky kids ate a ton of food. We come here every year, I wish I had known about Sunday brunch before, we'll be coming back for sure.
