Anasthesia, our server, was great. Food temperature was warm and not hot enough.

This is by far one of the coolest places in Michigan. Waterpark was amazing and for the adults, they have a pretty good bar that caters to the waterpark and delivers to the room. Don't forget to take a horse drawn carriage ride in downtown Frankenmuth.

We had the family style chicken dinner. It was nice trying all the different appetizers, the variety of what came with the dinner. Everything was good. The waitress was very nice. All and all a good experience.

Great resturant all around. Friendly staff, great chicken and the atmosphere is so welcoming.

Service was great......but the family chicken meal has really gone down hill in quality....yet extremely expensive....i have gone so many times in the last 57 years. But do not desire to ever return. Dry chicken. Tastes different.....the beloved cranberry orange relish was ruined with less orange and added apples. Noodles were very well done with no flavor.
Table was sticky.....told it was due to the cleaners they need to use for covid. Then rather table cloth 80 percent of tables. They need to tablecloth 100 percent.
Just not a good experience at all. In fact we did not even care for the soup.

1 piece of chicken breast here is only half, and at those prices WOW.

This is the slightly more upscale version of it's twin across the street (The
Bavarian Inn). They serve basically the same food, and you can basically buy the same kind of stuff in the basement. In contrast, the decor is more modern and less kitschy, the staff don't wear traditional Bavarian costumes, and the prices are higher.

They really took care of our son who has severe food allergies. Very pleased.

Zehnder's one of two German themed restaurants in the area has some of the best chicken dinners in the area and at certain times a year you can come in and find an all-you-can-eat buffet on Sundays

Always a great meal. The family style all you can eat Famous Fried Chicken meal brings in people from all over the world. We have been going there for most of my life and just found out that "in the off season" they have a Sunday buffet option that is the same as the family style, but with 2 or 3 more meats for a little more.

If you want a quick meal without the wait, they have a cafeteria style section in the basement that you can pick out exactly what you want and pay and leave or eat there. This saves you money, but you miss out on the all you can eat.

I've heard so much about the "chicken dinner" at Zenders that I've wanted to try it for years. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. I think the chicken, mashed potatoes and coleslaw at KFC is much better and would've cost much less! Spent $72 (with) tip for two people, only sodas to drink. Not worth the money or time (waited 45 minutes for a table). Our server was pretty good, though we didn't see him again with the pop refill after the bill was paid.

When we take friends and family to Frankenmuth, we'll be eating at the Frankenmuth Brewery. Don't understand the hype about Zenders at all, save your time and money, skip Zenders.

The chicken dinner could have been better. The white meat was very dry.

Cheapest dish in the menu is all u eat famous chicken dinner. But still expensive for a chicken dinner. U pay for the atmosphere!

there prime rib is great in awe juice but the server never brought out our water, the chedar spread and the liver spread was devine, the chicken was a bit dry though, the few times I have been there it has been pretty good

The best. Went for our birthdays and loved the meal.

I think that the price is a little too high for a chicken dinner buffet, however the food was very tasty. We did make a reservation, which I highly recommend because this place was busy.Our server Carnell was the absolute best. He was attentive and very polite. He was on top of our every need and question that we had. He was such a kind person I would return again just because of his excellent service. We thank you Carnell, after the long day that we had that Saturday, it was so nice to have you treat us so well.

A little overpriced for the quality of food you receive. But it is all you can eat :-).

Went to the Friday night fish fry, excellent! Best perch around. All you can eat buffet for Friday night. Also a stir fry station.

It is an experience for dinner. A large amount of food and what I had was very good. Food is served family style.

I'll start by saying that it's been our family tradition to eat at Zehnders cafeteria for 10 years the first week of December. We have Thanksgiving at Bavarian Inn. We have ALWAYS loved the food and the service. Something is very, very off today. The staff behind the counter looked and behaved as though they were in prison serving the prisoners?! Zero eye contact. No nicities to the customer. Zero give a damn that there was no one on the line serving while 9-10 of us stood and stared at them leaving, refilling and talking amongst themselves all at a snail's pace. The potatoes were a tablespoon of additional milk away from being runny and clearly BOXED??! The server told us when asked for a breast that it would be awhile...which is fine but he could have offered another option or steered us to the brisket? Behaved as if he gave a rats a$$ about his job? $61.00 for 4 dinners. When an 11 year old won't eat the mashed potatoes, you know it's not good. Best wishes, Zendhers. You're staff needed management who give a damn.

Stop for lunch once a month and I have the two piece dark chicken on the lunch menu.

Can't eat inside due to the pandemic, but got our food to go (ate it in the car) and it was delicious!

The only healthy option here is to turn around and find someplace else. When the chicken is brought to your table, it is difficult to discern thighs from breasts. The mashed potatoes also tasted instant. Maybe it's just me. There seems to be only one menu option... multi course fried chicken dinner.

My family and I go to Zhender's every single year. It was a tradition before I married into the family. Their food is okay, but their prices are a tad high. Their family style is a nice assortment of food and their wait staff is usually pretty good. The reason for 4 stars is not a whole lot of seasoning to their food and the outdated decor is not really my thing.

I love the Chicken Dinners and all the different dining room set ups they have. A very nice bakery and gift store also.

It is our first time eating at Zehnder s. They had a buffet. The food was Ok. There was nothing special about the chicken. The service was very good and the restaurant was very clean and the staff we re friendly.

No holiday is complete without a visit to Zehnder's in Frankenmuth!

We visit several times a year and as usual the food is A+. The employees are usually friendly with a rare exception and the restrooms are clean. We certainly enjoyed this visit.

I also found out, they offer WIFI to keep the little ones busy while we wait!
