Open for business, good food, and still good service.

In all my years was the worst experience I've ever had

I enjoyed the meal very much , and the atmosphere was great

It is an experience but not necessarily a culinary one.

Very nice family style chicken dinners and attentive service.

The setup, the area and the environment was nice. We ordered the family dinner and the soup was delicious as for the other dishes they were okay.

It's pleasant and a fun experience. You get large portions and many items as part of the "chicken dinner." If you're going to Frankenmuth, you need to go once. However, outside of the location and venue, the food itself is just average. KFC chicken is much better and flavorful. Most of the sides are moderately seasoned and just a little plain. Sure, you get large portions and there are ten items on your table to pick from, but the quality of the food itself is just average. Still, there's great service, and it's a fund place to go to when in Frankenmuth.

Was here for a work conference and it was a beautiful building and staff was very accommodating. Lunches and breakfast were fantastic.

Lot of money for chicken dinner. Should have other options than all you can eat.

Zender's is a nice place. There are many dining rooms, the place is seriously huge. However, most of it is a glorified buffet. Overall, positive experience, but I'm not sure where all the hype comes from.

If you enjoy tourist-packed, overrated places, boy have I got a place for you!

My family and I are frequently visiting and who know if you mention this I may buy you a of coffee.

Its amazing, I've been coming here for 7 years so far and its always excellent. Except for the sometimes noisy children it is always great. The service is great and the food is even better

The food was good, but we had below par service. Our waitress never brought out the table bread, provided water for the table that seemed to have had sugar in it (like the pitcher was never cleaned before its next use). Took forever to get our checks. Probably wont be going back.

Great fried chicken with a light yet crispy coat! Pieces were small though.

Did not expect the chicken man in an otherwise nice restaurant. My wife screamed when he walked in, I loved it.

We sat for 25 minutes with not so much as a greet. The servers were arguing about who would take us. We felt very uncomfortable and HUNGRY! We left and went across the street to the Bavarian inn which treated us much, much better. I've ate at Zehnder's before, the food is good, but I won't be going back as they didn't appreciate me and my wife's patronage.

We love going to Zehnders. We were there in December. One of their busiest times of the year. Our waiter made our dinner great. He was right on drinks and food and answering questions like he had no one else to take care of. He moved around the dining room constantly.

Wow. Kennedy was a FANTASTIC server. The food was really good. The environment and decor made us feel like we'd transported to a Victorian time. GO TO FRANKENMUTH, MI.

It was my time at Splash Village and I really enjoyed myself! My room for 2 nights (Friday to Sunday) was 555.00$, and that included 4 wristbands for swimming. There is a balcony, fridge, microwave, a coffee pot and it was roomy. Food is on you. They do have rooms that include a meal (I think it was breakfast or dinner, I don't think it was both) but that was about 700$-750$.
Now as with any "resort" style get away it's all overpriced and under seasoned LOL...oh they have liquor!! Yeah! LOL!

There are a lot of things to do. Aside from swimming indoor and outdoors, they had family and kid friendly activities each night. Such as movies, games, plus there is a arcade room. Also next door is the all year round Christmas Store which lights up like Christmas every night. I had a balcony room so it was nice to sit out and look at the lights and relive Xmas. The main attraction should you venture out tho is the famous fried chicken. You can drive there and get there in less than 10 min or wait for the complimentary shuttle that run small every 20 min I think. Need more to do? Visit the mirror maze, get a horse and carriage ride or simply walk about the downtown area and do some sightseeing.
Oh and don't forget to hit BirchRun Outlet for discounted saving and enjoy the 1lb BLT from the infamous TONYS restaurant all 20-30 min away from Splash Village.
Overall I definitely recommend coming here with family or as mini couples get away. I will be back.

Make reservation! Sunday brunch is buffet style dining, at it's finest. All of the selections of the family style chicken dinner are available on the buffet, AND THEN SOME! They have a fried shrimp, a carving station that has roast beef sometimes, prime rib at others, baked ham is also offered on occasion I believe. Check with them when you make reservations, they should be able to tell you what will be available. A delicious, fresh salad bar is there for grazing. And an awesome selection of desserts. If that isn't enough, you can get soft serve ice cream or sherbet for the finale. It's priced appropriately for the quality and quantity of food available. It is worth it. Service is usually exceptional. Guten Appetit

A must stop for dinner in Frankenmuth. You can get their famous chicken served family style, or order different German dishes by the plate. The serving sizes are very hearty, and your table gets appetizers. The appetizers are sliced breads, preserves, toast w/liver pate and cheddar spread, coleslaw and amazing German style cranberry sauce. I've eaten the chicken and it's great, but the pork schnitzel is absolutely delicious. Thank you for such a delicious meal. There were 4 of us and we all had something different, and shared tastes all around the table.

We ate out on the patio and it was great! The food was awesome and our waitress, Charity was probably the BEST waitress we have ever had anywhere!!! She was really that good. We will be back, the 2 hr drive will be worth it.

I HAVE GOT TO BE HONESTS THE CHICKEN WAS BLAND AND SOME WASN'T FULLY COOKED BUT THE SIDES WERE REALLY GOOD ESPECIALLY THE MASHED POTATOES AND THE COLESLAW THE CUSTOMER SERVICES WAS GOOD ALSO ME AND MY LADY FRIEND HAD ATE THERE EARLIER WE GOT OUR FREE BIRTHDAY DINNER.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. The food and the ambience have stayed the same, which is very good! The quality of the food is high and it is delicious!

This place hasn't changed since I began coming in the 80s. Take time to enjoy a walk and take in the sights in a horse drawn carriage. Food? It's amazing Bavarian fair with something for everyone. We go every year.

Zehnders is a staple of Frankenmuth. If you're headed to the Christmas Wonderland, no trip is complete without it. But be warned, you'll be looking to pay about $25 a plate at dinner time. You'll get a lot of food, but it won't be the highest quality. The chicken isn't what it used to be, but it's still good.

Good meal but the main dining room is very loud. I would suggest going to a smaller room within the restaurant. Servers were curtious, but had too many tables to work and therefore did not stop by our table, or any table, often for refills and questions. The check in procedure was very confusing. We were told that two of our party should sit in the lobby area while I stood in line to have our party seated, unfortunately we were not told we had to register when we first came in and ended up standing in line for 30 minutes before I left the line to register. All in all it was an okay experience.

Love this place! Chicken dinners are the best! First time to eat in Zehnder's cafe downstairs. The wait staff there is very friendly!

Really flavorless and small pieces of chicken. Flavorless sides as well and very expensive.

Have been here many times. Most recently for a private banquet. The service was impeccable. The food delicious and bountiful. They made a cake for the occasion that was fantastic. Also visited the bakery. The stollen bread is wonderful. They also operate several dining rooms and they were all busy. Make reservations if going on a weekend.

Some of the starters are a bit " adventurous " but everything was great, it was a very busy Sunday, but we got a party of 4 seated in about 15 min. Great service

The chicken isn't what it used to be but all of the other dishes that come with the chicken dinner are delicious. There never seems to be a very long wait on busy days and the wait staff is very prompt.

Famous place. I remember the little plastic animals they put in the ice cream from 30 years ago. Great food and service.

Meal was very good this time. Last time chicken a little dry this time it was juicy and very good. Chicken noodle soup was good as always. Portions for family meal becoming smaller and smaller. I remember when we got an entire bowl of cottage cheese, smashed potatoes and noodles. Server Jeff was great.

I ate at the cafe in the basement because one of the locals recommended doing that as it was the same food just served up cafeteria style at lower cost. It was pretty comparable to a good day at Popeyes or KFC, nothing spectacular though. Family 4 pack meal was about $45.00. Kevin in the basement seemed to be a little grouchy but nothing major that would make me not want to return. He did let me split some of my sides, and IIdidnt wait long on the chicken... Th cashier was friendly and everything appeared to be clean, food was fresh. Chicken a little bland but very moist and tender.

Try the Z Cafe downstairs for a quick service option. Great comfort food at a reasonable price. The only challenging part is finding a seat at peak times.

When I was young my parents would take me to Zehnder's and it would be a fantastic experience, I haven t been for 5 years and I won t go back again.

It appears the owners of Zehnder s have let there success go to there heads and treat there customers with distain. The only positive was the server we had, she was a sweet personable young lady, it s a shame she is wasting her talents at Zehnders.
Like I said it use to be the place to go, now it s the place to avoid
