The food as always was incredible. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming as well as the staff. I continue to come back with my family every year for the birthday dinner and the tradition we have created.

Go at least twice a year for classes taught by their pastry/bakery chefs. Always a good time, leave with not only delicious food, but also helpful tips. Classes about $40+, 15 or so students, last about 90 minutes each. Examples of things made in class in photos.

Ordered Christmas dinner to go for my partner and I. Got the family 4 pack and even two days later we STILL have a little bit of leftovers. And that's a good thing for when it's just us and we don't feel like cooking-just relaxing and enjoying the holidays. Very good and I think a fair price for how much food we actually got. The chicken and rolls reheat beautifully in the oven when baked!

A fun place in Frankenmuth for their world famous chicken dinner. They offer an all you can eat buffet including shrimp, Prime rib and fried chicken with all the fixens. Great way to cap off your shopping in Frankenmuth.

The food is totally overpriced and awful! I was very disappointed. Nothing is fresh. Everything is just warmed up stuff coming out of cans. People are leaving tons of food on their plates when they leave. The Schnitzel was an insult for me and the desserts taste like chemicals. Don't let the reviews fool you! I don't believe there is a real cook in the "Kitchen"

Building are old fashion. Made to look that way. Very clean. Tourists attraction area. Nice downtown and nice shops in basement of both chicken restaurants. I like Zenders better. Lots of things to do for adults and children.

This place is fantastic. My wife and I came here for dinner for the first time and we both enjoyed it very much. I would recommend if its your first time, get the all you can eat. You wont regret it. The inside is very beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone coming to frankenmuth.

Stayed in a suite so able to enjoy family time. Plenty of water activities for all ages. Definetly going back! So this was at Splash Village. Shout out to Austin at Zehnders restaurant. So very good at his job. Very helpful with our special needs. Thanks!

Food is pretty good. We went with the all-you-can eat chicken dinner because our dinner companions highly recommended it. The chicken was tender, but not as flavourful/spiced as it could be. The sides were tasty, although I found the noodles bland. Service was good.

Let's get this out of the way upfront: the chicken dinner isn't really worth $25 or whatever ridiculous price they're charging for it. It's like an Apple product. You're paying extra for the name.

That being said, the food is legitimately quite tasty. The original chicken dinner, the famous one, comes with a ton of good-tasting sides in generous portions. (I definitely recommend getting it family style.) And the chicken itself has this amazing seasoning that's to die for. (conveniently, you can buy it downstairs!)

If it's a special occasion, or you've never done it before--sure, go ahead and spend the $25.

If someone else is paying, by all means spend their money!

Otherwise, save yourself some money and only go if you have a discount (e.g. the birthday club lets you get a free meal in your birthday month). Or just eat downstairs in Z's Cafe. It's the same food, you just get less of it. Or even eat across the street at Bavarian Inn, which is half the price but tastes almost identical.

For other things, the service has always been excellent at Zehnder's, and the place is always nicely decorated for the season. They also have a fantastic bakery downstairs and make amazing cakes. They're also good for events like wedding receptions--not cheap, but they'll work with you on the menu and do very well.

This place really makes dinner an experience! The setting, the decir and the employees outfits made it a memorable place to eat. We took our 3 young kids there and they were very accommodating.

They have famous chicken dinners for a reason and they are delicious. I loved visiting here for a wedding and going for a birthday party. The wait staff is dressed in old fashioned clothing and are always doing an excellent job. The service is great and this is definitely a Frankenmuth experience you want to have!

Fantastic! The price might scare you away but don't let it! It's an all you can eat full course chicken dinner. All of the sides are tasty! And the chicken is great too! The meal is not the only thing that is good there either. Check out the architecture of the building and the history of Zenders hallway! I will be going back

The food was BLAH. Chicken was tasteless & dry. Our waitress was slow. We never did get bags to place our boxes in. Why serve liver pate? WHY? There was really not much to give a thumbs up on. Want to discuss that freakin' PRICE??? $25..00??? Nope. Never again.

Did not live up to it's hype. Bit of a disappointment. Did not have any brochen or rye bread. The speciality of chicken had a great taste but a little dry. The spatzl was not worth eating.

Awesome

When you choose family-style dining, Zehnders serves smaller portions of a large number of items. They are always ready to refill your table servings. Many Covid precautions are in place. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. It is a dining destination.

We went to the takeout and gotethe chicken dinner for 6. We ate it in the road while traveling back to Ohio, which isn't as difficult as it sounds. Food is good and it's a great deal per person. Don't forget to visit the bakery if you can afford to take in the calories.

The chicken was far less than spectacular as claimed; however, the sides were very good. The Vidalia Onion Soup AuGratin was one of the best onion soups I've ever had. The cabbage salad was awesome, too. The service was good, but not nearly as warm as I would have expected for a "World Famous" restaurant in Frankenmuth.
