Great Chicken Dinner!!! Rachel was a Fantastic Server too!

I always come here when I visit Frankenmuth. My favorite is the $20.95 all you can eat chicken. This restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants in the state!

Made a reservation for two and waited longer than large parties walking off the street. Food was horrible compared to our last visit

Good drinks in the bar. was over charged downstairs in the cafeteria so that was very disappointing. I ordered a kids meal because I can't eat a lot and they still charged me way more than what I actually ordered

Not bad food, decent service. A bit bummed out because they only had bread with nuts in it, I have an allergy so could not have, as well as they were out of some food options. Lots to eat though, a bit expensive but thats the luxury of it. I ended up taking half of my meal with us back to the hotel. The mini bakery and shop was nice, almost all bakery items were wrapped individually which was nice.

Wonderful meal with family and another great time in Frankenmuth. If your looking for a safe place to be out of the house during these times, Frankenmuth is following procedures. Tables safely spaced, servers all wearing masks, floor marked for distances between patrons. We felt comfortable with the measures they are taking for all of our benefits. Thank you Frankenmuth and Zenders for always being there for us.

Price not worth the selection. For 3 people almost $70.00. food was okay I guess, basic.

Not a good fan of this place, service is outstanding

By far the worst tasting and over priced food I have ever eaten. I under that this restaurant can charge a lot for its food because of its location but the food and service I received left a lot to be desired. Upon arriving to this establishment, everything was very hectic and even though we had a reservation, we spent 30 minutes waiting and trying to find anyone who would tell us what is going on. Once seated, half of my group opted for the buffet while the rest ordedertfrom the menu. It is understandable that the buffet group finished early but I was confused why the ordered dishes came out at very different times. I got my dish 30 minutes before my friend did. In the end, I am most focused on the food. The chicken was incredibly bland and the table bread was stale and disgusting. Someone ordered buttered bootlegs which were nearly drained and drenched in water (that person ended up not eating their meal.). I felt like Gordon Ramsay sitting in a chair getting served the worst food I have ever received. By far my worst restaurant experience.

One of my absolute favorite places to go. Zehnder's has great food and a fun atmosphere. Take the whole family!

Very good food been coming here since I was a child

An American icon in Michigan.... it has a Swiss German vibe going on with different locations serving there version of chicken dinners. It's a little tourist trap, but a good one filled with yummy food and delights. A must go at least once.
It's a family tradition for many Michiganders.

We met up with family, all of us being from out of state! We had the awesome family style chicken dinner. Great food, great service!

Food is always good. Was bummed it wasn't squash time yet for the vegetables. It was the first time though that I felt rushed in eating my meal.

Food at Zehnder's what's amazing! We had a great waitress. Lots of people! Didn't wear a mask walking through the crowds but wish I would have!!! Beware Corona is up in all the states :-(

Always a great place to eat. Home style cooking with old fashion comfort food! Been eating here for years.

Don t be scared if the line. They will seat you quick. I love the setup. From the coat room to main dinning area. I'm proud to be Michigan born.

The splash village hotel is awesome. Large and lots to do. Grand kids loved it.

I've been 3 times now and it's the same every time. Plenty of good food in a family style format. It is a bit overwhelming with all the food so bring your appetite.

I just don t get the appeal. You wait forever for everyday food in a loud open room. Not my kind of place. Service is super, however.

Went to splash park for a birthday, it was nice & clean. More for younger kids then teens

Please increase restrooms cleaning when the place is full, bad smell can be perceived while waiting for your table. Service was great and food awesome that detail is stealing the 5th star

It was far different experience than it was in my youth. Food was bland, some not warm enough, service staff friendly and prompt. More like dinner at a nice aunt who has no spice rack and cooks everything in the microwave.

Love going to Frankenmuth and eating at Zehnder's. I got the chicken with mashed potatoes- dressing and slaw. All except the dressing was good- it was way too dry. My server Terry was very nice and accomodating. Overall really nice experience.

This is a great eating experience. It is a better dinner then lunch as chicken dinner is all you can eat. Great time with the family. Not sure who likes liver pate'. Their coleslaw is very good and the cranberry sauce with mint is unique and good.

Always a busy happy crowd, lovely day excursion and a good meal.

Service was outstanding, food was good little pricey

Out for the Snow Festival. Lots of amazing snow and ice sculptures. Tent had great band... The Rock Show.

Best chicken in the state. Ask for the "Cow Path" room for a nice, out of the way place.

Great experience as always. Friendly staff, clean environment, and the food is truly amazing. The seating is very tight and starts to really fill in about 11am. If it wasn't for the lack of space I would most definitely give this place a 5 !

Perhaps one of the best fried chicken we've had. Their side dishes are also worth going back for.

This was the third time we at downstairs at Zenhder's and the food was terriable. We will not go back again. The prices have gone up but the food quality has gone way down. This is very discouraging because this use to be one of favorite places to go for a quick trip away.

I come here every year once a year with my beautiful wife. Both of our birthdays are in November so we get a free meal. We use it as an opportunity to get away from the kids. The food here is good and it s different from the chain restaurants. That s why they are so popular. I highly recommend you come here.

Great place for chicken dinner and a little shopping

Awesome during the winter time with the ice sculpting. The food is amazing. Great service. No bnb and clean. Shops are good in stock. I personally felt like it was a nice place to be when you need some joy.

I love the place there will always be critics but it is very nice.

Great food and atmosphere. If you stay at the hotel you get priority seating which is great for a weekend night. A ton of food if you get the chicken dinner. If you don't like chicken liver pate ask for the veggies spread instead. And don't forget a scoop of orange sherbert for dessert.

They have little shops and a bakery downstairs with lots of breads, baked goods, jams, and snacks available. Nice wine selection.

I would not recommend eating there if there is a wedding on the same night. Our service was horrible and the food took over an hour. The staff blamed it on the kitchen since it could not keep up with the diners and the wedding. The chicken was also dry.

If you can t handle walk in and reservations both then explain that on website or on door or somewhere. Wait an hour because reservations take all the tables, Please share that information in the future. BS

BEST family style chicken dinner ever. Waitstaff is always so friendly. Great good, great atmosphere.

My family and I are long time customers of Zehnder's and we often visit a few times a year for various occasions. On a visit prior to our most recent, we ran into a miscommunication issue with birthday dinners being a to-go option during the pandemic, which was later clarified by a wonderful Zehnder's rep by the name of Shelby. I contacted Zehnder's about the issue and Shelby responded promptly the same day clearing up the matter. She was very kind, professional and answered my question thoroughly. A few weeks later, my wife and I returned to buy a big meal we could take home and enjoy with our family. Thank you Zehnder's for being accommodating during these unique times and understanding that not everyone prefers to dine-in at this time. Thank you to Shelby for doing a great job in assisting me with my questions and encouraging us to return. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

The chicken is very good, but the price is way over the amount of food some of my friends and I eat. Way too much waste.

Food was very delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. The staff members were very polite and helpful! Would definitely eat here again!
