the atmosphere was quaint. The prices were outrageously high. The server actually touched our food with her hands. The service was good and everyone was friendly but I would not go there again.

We have been coming to Frankenmuth all of my life, and Zehnder's is always on my must-do list. The food is amazing in the atmosphere itself has a way of making you feel great. The wait staff is very attentive and cater well to little kids if you bring the whole family. I highly recommend this place

$27 per person. Yikes! Yes, it's all you can eat, but the food is mediocre. There's an overall lack of flavor in the side dishes, such as the stuffing & noodle soup. For the price paid, I expected REAL mashed potatoes and not the instant ones they served. As for the chicken... I'm not sure what you would call the "breading" they use but again, lack of flavor. Is it baked or fried? I really couldn't tell. The decor is old and outdated. I don't understand why people are willing to wait 2 hours for a table. Maybe 1st time tourists? Skip this tourist trap and use your money for a less expensive meal at ANY other restaurant in the area.

The chicken had no flavor and it took over a hour to get food. The food basically tasted like a horrible nursing home and so expensive for really bad food. Will never try that place again. The hotel is amazing just don t waste time getting the food at Zenders. Everyone who says the chicken is amazing is lying!! Literally taste like they took chicken cooked it and no seasoning and it s so dry. Popeyes has better chicken. The lady who served us must hate her job it showed.

Excellent service and the food was really good! The staff was really nice and always helpful. They seem to genuinely want you to have a great experience. I couldn't have been happier with our experience!

We go to Frankenmuth at least two to three times a year, just a short drive for us and we really enjoy it. All the shops, homemade fudge and salt water taffy, and they have their very own cheese store. There is just so much to see and do!!

Down home southern kitchen feeling. Friendly atmosphere with delicious food. Liked the family style with unlimited refills and you are able to take left overs home. Chicken is very tastey has a thicker more floury breading than neighbor across the street. Great for families and large groups! Made to handle the masses.

Always a family favorite, and this time did not disappoint. All Covid 19 protocols being followed. Family Style Summer Bonus included Spare Ribs for the Summer. Also added Out Door Seating on the Grand Front Porch. Awesome Experience!

First time visit this evening. The service staff is 5-star. We made reservations for 4 people the day before and were promptly seated when we arrived on time. That was much appreciated. The building is very nice with large waiting area. Our server took great care of us all night. The appetizers are 3-star. Unfortunately the chicken is 1-star. Very little flavor, dry, bland, lacking the juice you would expect to pour out of hot, freshly fried chicken. Sausages were tasty but cost extra. Mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing weren t bad. Soft serve ice cream twist was my favorite. You won t go hungry if you bring a big appetite. Just wish the world famous fried chicken lived up to its billing.

I rarely give bad reviews, but I had to say something here. Nice people, but the food is... mediocre at best. Bland, tons of carbs, weak in vegetables, and the chicken was nothing to talk about. At $26 a dinner, it's a deal if you just want to shovel a bunch of bland food in your mouth. Otherwise not anywhere near a reasonable value. I forgot how bad it was. Never again. There are other places to explore.

Worst chicken I've ever eaten!

Worst chicken I've ever eaten!
The chicken is tasteless and tough the rest of the meal was just ok at least you could eat it we were there on 8/4/20

For the price they expect for world famous chicken, I expected more. I honestly don't ask much salt pepper some sort of flavor? What I got was dry and extremely bland. The table we were placed at was sticky to the point of being disgusting. Halfway through the meal I realized, we had the only table without a table cloth. Trust me it was nasty. On the bright side, we didn't pay full price because of the free birthday meal. If we did pay full price I would of knocked another star off the rating. Now for the best part of the meal. All of the sides are absolutely awesome. Are waitress was nice but she seemed overextended, so waiting for things like water took awhile.

Food is okay, nothing to special. Confusing building. We went to get a small lunch and they have a host stand right when you walk into the building so we asked for a table. When they sat us the menu was limited with only big food items or all you can eat. We mentioned to our server that we only wanted something light and he said we could split meals. So that's what we did. Then we overhear the table next to us ask for a lunch menu, which no one told us about. Then after we are done we go look around and find a cafe in the bottom part of the building. The employees there are not helpful and also service was very slow. Lesson learned - ASK ABOUT LUNCH OPTIONS/CAFE if you want a light lunch.

Ordered a cake 6 days in advance for an event, just a 6" with colorful frosting. My event was on a Tuesday and they waited until the Saturday afternoon before telling me they were unable to do the cake. Really disappointed in the timing, as I had to rush around to try and find another bakery to do a cake last minute. I have liked their cakes in the past, I will try ordering again, giving significant notice of timing and change my review if applicable. Wish they would have told me sooner that they were unable to do the cake.

Went there for a family gathering. My first time despite visiting Frankenmuth many times. We all had the Sunday all you can eat buffet. The selection of items were pretty standard with meats, salads and side dishes. Server brought drinks, soup, bread and dessert to the table and was attentive and personable. The atmosphere was nice and despite the large crowds fairly quiet. Overall the food was good but nothing stood out as great. The value for your money is questionable unless you plan on stuffing yourself. Otherwise for over $30 a head with gratuity, I could think of better options. Still it was nice to experience it once.

Thanks
