Amazing food and staff! It was worth the 45 min wait!

Excellent food. The pot pie and cabbage slaw is to die for.

Hands down the best chicken and sides. Beautiful place to sit and relax with great food.

Quite famous, but I do think it is over rated. I would definitely give it a better rating than The Old Country Buffet though.

We always visit the Z cafe every time we visit Frankenmuth. The staff is always friendly and the food is excellent. With a busy toddler the Z cafe is easier for us. We love that we can enjoy the wonderful food but can get in and out quickly. #ZFun #buzzybooth

Incredible food for the price plus a few different options for dining room preference. Staff was always engaging. One draw back is it's usually crowded in the main dining room but the wait isn't bad.

I'm not going to give the greatest review on this place... simply because it's the truth... I went there for the first time recently to get the famous chicken dinner.. and quite frankly, I wasn't impressed.. I got the chicken breast dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans.. the mashed potatoes tasted bland and the green beans we're cold... the chicken breast were so small they each fit in the palm of my hand... our waitress was mediocre... and I left quite disappointed...I do not recommend this place to eat...

Haven't been to Zehnders in year's. We were not impressed with the wait and $$ for dry turkey, very raw beef, boxed mashed potatoes, processed stuffing. Our friends said they wanted to take us out for dinner, it was to be a surprise, when we got to Zehmders we were VERY surprised. We never said a word and gave it a try...everything was as we had back years ago that kept us from going back. Our dinner was well over $100.00! We would of been happier at Subway!

We love to get Zehnder's all you can eat chicken dinner because it's so good! You get side dishes of mashed potatoes,gravy,stuffing,coleslaw,etc.. This meal is so good and the food is always so good and fresh! You can choose to have ice cream or sherbet for dessert and it's a perfect way to end a wonderful meal! We love going there because it's home cooking at its finest and after your meal there is a bakery downstairs with lots of bakery goodies to choose from! You can call ahead to make dinner reservations but they go very quickly,so be sure to make your reservations ahead of time!

Usually we love Zehnders. We went for the Easter Buffet. Reservations were on time, great table.....but the food was DRY!!! Can't believe with that many people going through the line that it would have time to dry out. Poor preparation? Too much cooked in advance? We wont go for a holiday again. Major disappointment.

1st time here. We usually go to the one across the street, but their power was out. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the food was delicious. Very similar to the restaurant across the street.

Very different from what we are used to. Portions are very large and tasty. Excellent experience.

I went here with family to celebrate the new year and was disappointed. We were seated quickly, but other than that service was terrible. The food was good, but given the price I m not sure I would go back. When you pay that much for a meal, you expect friendly, prompt service... or at the very least a drink refill.

Very friendly and the Michigan cherry salad is amazing

Very overrated chicken restaurant and overpriced. I had a chicken wrap that barely had any chicken in it, just a few small cubes of fried chicken. The main filling was lettuce and it had way too much pita breading. It lacked any kind of flavor and was not very filling. The main attraction is the all you can eat for $25. They give you a lot of side dishes, but everything is very bland. Service was ok at best.

Loved this place. Great for my 10 year old grandson. Definitely will be back. But will skip the chicken dinner next time. Breakfast was excellent!

Loved it!! This was my first time being here and it was so great!! I cannot wait to go back for my birthday.

When ever we go to frankenmith we have to make a stop to get a chicken dinner. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the chicken and noodles were dry. I know we will go back I just hope the food is not as dry.

The experience was fantastic apart from the wait time.
My family had a great time.
The only thing i wish was more clear was about the rewards card , on which it was not mentioned clearly that we can only use after 60 days when we signed up for it. So it was my wife's birthday but still we couldn't use it.

All you can eat chicken is excellent. Coleslaw very tasty and chicken livers are out of this world. Usually crowded, reservation recommended, with the wait.

Excellent dinner choices at Zehnders. The broasted chicken is the BEST. It is also better tasting than the Bavarian Inn across the street from Zehnders.

Our waiter Ryan was very helpful. This was our first time there and we really didn't know what to order. We were a bit confused about the all you can eat menu... anyways he was quite helpful and patient with us. We were all in agreement that for us "their world famous chicken" was not good. The whole meal was tasteless. Sorry but we will not be going there again. Their "world famous chicken" left us asking..."we paid how much for that! We all agreed that what happens in Frankenmuth....stays in Frankenmuth.

Best throw back to family style dining. Very traditional meals

Grew up close to Frankenmuth. Spent a lot of time here as a kid. Beautiful town to visit. Especially, at Christmas with all the lights.

I really don't know why they're calling it famous chicken its so dry and theres no flavor at all

The food is always great and the sides are loved! This time the server was rude and didn't know how to take care of Birthday dinners and coupons. Service seems to be hit and miss, so we've stopped going as often.

The fried chicken was tasteless. The gravy had to be out of a can. I really can't believe this place is so famous. Really! We get much better chicken from Kentucky Fried Chicken!

Food and service was great. Sam our server was great and she was very attentive.

My family and I very much enjoy the chicken dinners at Zehnders every time we're in Frankenmuth. It is a little overpriced but the portions are huge and the chicken and most of the sides are delicious. The building inside and out is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. We have all ways enjoyed are expierence's here and will look forward to our next visit

Z's Cafe keeps me coming back. And don't forget the Zehnder's bakery.

I only visited the market in the lower level, although the Restaurant at the main level looked very nice. The lower level has a cafe style restaurant that serves really big portions and fair prices along with a couple of gift shops that sell everything from candy, chocolate, to souvenirs for all ages.

I love love it here and I am missing it terribly with this pandemic. I wanted to order my favorite Blueberry Preserves but $13 for shipping? Within the state of Michigan? Can this be cut in half? That is a bit much especially during this time. I don't know if anyone will see this but just my thoughts. Thank you.

Excellent place to experience true German food and dining. Book reservations though online for better seating.

It's a real neat place to visit.I lot's of things to do, from shopping to taking a ride on a river boat and real good family style food

Not really a fan of chicken, but the bar has a small menu I enjoy ordering from. On occasion they will have a buffet which is pretty good too.

You'll eat so much food you will more than likely get diarrhea lol I'm also on YouTube

Wonderful atmosphere, always helpful and courteous staff, love coming here when I'm back in Michigan.

Delicious, always go here when in town. The family style dinners are the way to go
