A traditional stop for many Michigan families. If this is your first time, order the family style chicken dinner!

There is the saying you get what you pay for, well that isn't the case here the chicken just isn't what it used to be and what the heck why would you do away with straws? The dish boys still have to touch the glasses where our mouths go and forks and spoons why no straw? Just not making enough to supply them?

Delicious food! But it did cost us nearly $100 for my husband and our 2 children, both under 8 years old. Fun to go once, but I do not think we would spend the money again.

I recently purchased two of your loaves of Stollen Fruit bread, very dissappointed with the quality, used to have lots of fruit and nuts in the loaves, now you can barley find them. Not worth the price you charge for this bread anymore. What happened to your "quality"? Sad

The best chicken dinner in town. Way better than Bavarian Inn!!!!!!

Food was extremely bland. Did not enjoy any of the food

I prefer the bavarian accross the street, but still an ok place.

I'm not sure why everyone raves about this chicken... It was decent but very salty... And the service took forever to serve us. I might go there again, except for the inflated prices for fried chicken that I can but cheaper at the local market for better flavor. Cute establishment though!

The food is always good. I like to go at Christmas to see the beautiful decorations.

Had a great time and enjoyed the nice dinner served here. Food was really good and they give you a huge variety and generous portions. I like that they give you both white and dark meat pieces with their fried chicken dinners. Bakery downstairs has stuff to die for! The sour cream coffee cake was amazing! Don t leave without going in the bakery for some take home goodies!

This is one of my favorite places to celebrate an anniversary or a birthday. Excellent food and overall a very enjoyable experience. I know you will be happy here!

Zehnder's of Frankenmuth is a wonderful place to dine for special events. The part that makes it really worth is the endless chicken dinner that you can purchase. And the entire building is beautifully crafted with antiques.

The service was excellent and the food was amazing!! Although a little higher priced, definitely worth it.

9 year old had a blast with cousins...a little smaller than expected but overall a great experience. Hotel was wonderful too. Hotel and food package for 7 people under $100 per person

Very crowded and expensive. Buffet was small and bland. Not sure what all the fuss is about. No desire to return

Our waitress was very nice and had an interesting (in a good way) sense of humor. The food ... oh my gosh. If you are going to the area do yourself a favor and eat here. There shouldn't be any question. Just do it. You will miss out if you don't. Just do it.

We've been to the Bavarian Inn a few times, but this is our first stop at Zehnder's. The eggplant parm and braised pork were amazing. Service and ambiance were great. Would recommend eating here if in town.

Unbelievable wait time, I had to witness a couple wait 3 hours in line to get a table plus their "greatest chicken" in the world is atrocious and bland. Zhenders where waiting in a line can make your stay unforgettably unforgiving .

Expensive prices, below average food. Chicken dry, no flavor, very few vegetables to choose from.

In a weeks time in Michigan this was the best meal my family had. Something here made everyone happy. Of course it's best if you like chicken that's kind of their thing!! Wife says it's the best chicken pot pie she's ever had!

Classic restaurant. Can't complete a trip to Frankenmuth without hitting up Zehnders

The chicken dinners are very good. If you stop to eat here you also have to check out the market and bakery in the basement. The bakery had delicious truffles and French macarons when I was there last.

We went there on a Saturday afternoon, when the restaurant was not very busy. The wait to be seated for our group of 9 seemed fairly long, given that the dining room was only at 25% capacity. It also was a long wait before a server waited on us.

We had an excellent server. He was professional but not stuffy and did an excellent job making sure we had everything we needed.

The wait time for our family style dinner was fair and the price was very reasonable, given the amount of food served. We had an enjoyable experience, over all.

Famous chicken was dry, & the chicken noodle soup tasteless, but excellent squash, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles & stuffing. Everyone was friendly, & the decorations were beautiful. Disappointed in the chicken.

This has been one of my favorite places to go. I've always gotten the eat and sleep package when going which includes the hotel stay, water park passes, dinner and breakfast buffet. The food in the hotel/water park is a bit pricey, however the portion sizes are pretty good and tastes great with what I've had so far. The hotel rooms are clean and the water park is well kept. The only thing that comes to mind with a downside is the showers in the room didn't have much pressure.

Outstanding family style chicken dinner. Also, steaks and rotisserie chicken very good. Highly recommend.

Always a great time with pretty good food. Always like going there to celebrate birthday (with a free meal if you sign up for breakfast club) and walk around. Always a fun relaxing time.

A yearly tradition. We've switched over to the buffet instead of the regular family style because there is an excellent variety. The only bad part is that there are no leftovers to take home this way

Unfortunately Disappointing! The Chicken was DRY and almost everything lacked flavor!!

It is a huge restaurant with many dining rooms, a bakery and a gift shop. We have been coming here for years. The dining experience has a very European feel. The food is very good, but not the best. I would not say it's the classiest restaurant but definitely worth visiting once in a while.

Interesting atomosphere but the diner wasn't that great.

It took so long to be waited on we had to go to see someone and let them know.After getting someone to wait on us she took to much time in getting back to us. Part of the dinner was left out and we had to remind her and that took a long time to get.The only dish she removed from the table was our soup bowls and everything else pilled up. She put our desert off to the side because we left our plates in front of us This was the worst service I have had in the many years I have been eating at Zehnder's. I have always been happy with everything in past experiences

There's a reason you've heard of Kentucky Fried Chicken and not Frankfurt Fried Chicken. The Colonel uses 11 secret herbs and spices and Gandma Zehnder just uses salt. A lot of salt.

The chicken was not that great but the staff and atmosphere was really nice.

We come here every year. It's a wonderful family tradition.

A Michigan Legend, for a large busy restaurant ,the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Chicken and other lunch items were terrific.

Don't live in Michigan anymore so its a treat to go to Zenders when we are in town visiting family.

Although they did well maintaining the "feel" over the years, I felt disappointed with the quality of the food - especially their chicken (which was my favorite as a child). The meat was dry, including the dark (thighs and legs) and had zero seasoning. I understand they have their house seasoning along with salt and pepper at the table but dang - a little salt and pepper in the breading wouldn't hurt...

Maybe it was an off day or an off batch, not sure, but definitely disappointing and unfortunate.

Good food and excellent service. If you're looking for a meal that is truly family style, look no further.

I love Zehnder's. It is a must-do restaurant whenever we are able to make it up to Frankenmuth. The food is great, and super nostalgic for me, because I have been going since I was a little kid. I have never had bad service, and although it is expensive, you are paying for a LOT of food.

Every time we go, seems we always get family style..which is great, however this time we ordered chicken livers and totally enjoyed them and had some left for lunch the next day

Great food, waitress was nice. Only had issue with wait, we went in made reservations left, when we came back still had a half hour wait, went in bar and sat after some time went out asked how much longer they said still about 25 minutes, went back in bar say right by the door way to hear us being called, went back out awhile late again, they said they called our names and in the bar, we told them no cause we were sitting right by the door, was gonna leave they called a manager and we got in practically right away

Food and service was excellent. We had no wait which was amazing. They are using technology to keep wait times down and more accurate. I would recommend reserving a table online but you need to do it several hours in advance. We had the buffet vs. The family style dinner. There are more choices and you can get more of your favorites, although drumb sticks are harder to come by. The service is fast and efficient. They keep everything clean. The real wood fireplace in the lobby brings that amazing smell you can replicate. Don't forget to join the rewards program for a free dinner your birthday month.

Got there early for our reservation and got seated 15 minutes earlier. Server was very polite, friendly and brought out our drinks and food promptly.

This place has everything for Christmas. Good service.
