Zanhotel Europa - Bologna/Italy Review

Friendly staff and convenient location for events, meetings or travel. Too bad for the cost of the paid parking space (municipal of course) which makes the visit quite expensive. For the rest recommended

I was in this hotel for a Trenitalia conference, a great welcome, a clean and well-kept restaurant, a friendly staff.

Hotel in a very strategic position as it is a stone's throw from the central station, but from which the heart of the city is easily reachable in about ten minutes on foot via Via Marconi, there is also a convenient private parking a few meters away.
The rooms are cozy and clean.
A pleasant surprise was the rich breakfast buffet which was very much to my liking

In my opinion you can use the room too late. They told me they could only assign it to me at 1pm .... too late for me. After a long journey, a shower wouldn't have been bad.

An elegant old-fashioned hotel, just beautiful. I stayed there for only one night because I had the night included for a course that was held in the same and I found the room much cleaner and more beautiful than I expected.

The location is strategic; between the station and the center. We are at a conference. The room is beautiful and comfortable.

I spent only one night for two days of congress, all in the standard except for the magnetic card that opens the room and the park that has been canceled 2 times and I couldn't open either the room or the park, with the consequent annoyances and lost time.

Excellent value for money. Suitable for those coming to Bologna for business.

Very comfortable hotel at the station with a slightly retro decor, large and well maintained and clean spaces. Parking at the hotel is convenient and costs 13 euros per day. Decent cuisine: I enjoyed a buffet during a one-day refresher course and they were kind and helpful offering me an alternative for intolerances. Large and numerous conference rooms, spacious and clean bathrooms.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of Bologna Centrale train station and the historic city center. Spacious and high-level common areas, rooms also of a suitable size for a good stay. Very rich breakfast with a wide choice of sweet and savory with some delicacies such as honey produced on the spot by a beehive, really remarkable! Friendly staff.

Might have been a good hotel in an old time, but not anymore due to lack of proper maintenance and upgrades. We had cockroaches in our bathrooms, cracks in the walls of our room and were hearing absolutely everything our neighbors were doing or saying ...

A very nice hotel. The staff is very professional, very good cleaning of rooms. Mr. Antonio is very precise and knows how to advise on where to eat and what to see in Bologna and its surroundings. Breakfast is good and there is everything. Go there is fantastic.

Hotel near the station, within walking distance. The style of the Hotel is not definable "modern" but it is however well maintained and it is pleasant to stop inside. The rooms are clean. The great service. Ultimately I would say that the 4 stars are well deserved.

Hotel convenient because near the station. A little bit old style, not very recent in the furnishings and in the overall style of the structure. However, very kind staff, sufficiently spacious, quiet rooms, varied breakfast and able to satisfy any guest. Personally I find it a good compromise between cost and service offered.

Old, poorly kept hotel. It is definitely not a 4 star level. I have a dull view of a dirty pipe roof! A musty smell comes from the bathroom ... The corridor is covered with dirty carpets. It must be emphasized that the rooms were nicely cleaned! Good breakfast is also an advantage ...

The staff seemed extremely courteous to me. The structure, instead, in the area of the conference rooms is not very accurate, with signs of poor maintenance of the wallpaper and decorations. Beautiful other environments. I didn't stay, so I can't comment on the rooms.

Hotel located near the central station. 5min walk from via Indipendenza. Very welcoming environment and helpful staff. Spacious and clean rooms. Very spacious bathrooms with shower. Comfortable beds. Well soundproofed walls. Hearty breakfast though not particular.
Walking a little distance from the center. Rooms on the street a bit noisy if you keep the windows open.

The Zanhotel Europa is located near the Bologna train station (2 minutes walk) in a neighborhood that is not really the best. The location is still very convenient to reach the city center on foot in a few minutes. If you arrive by car, parking in front of the hotel is subject to a charge (euro 1.80 / hour). I went to the Zanhotel for a business meeting and can't judge the rooms. The common areas (atrium, meeting room, etc.) are very well kept, with friendly staff and great cleanliness.
