Always worth a visit. Whether it's the shops which are unique if sometimes expensive or just to see a place that has no equal
It was better before aimed at superdrys/wanabe hipsters, they are so fickle its bound to fail
A nice place to visit for a great day out whatever the weather.
Stunning building now, great to see it back to its former glory. Halifax and Yorkshire are lucky to have this wonderful piece of architecture
Lovely placid place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Needs more shops to take up residence. Great Georgian Architecture.
A fantastic building but given all the hype and advertising of the opening, very disappointed with what shops/units were open. We will not be going again.
Lots of great little independent shops, cafes and bars as well as a lovely open space accessible for everyone
Fab architecture. Looks amazing , if a bit clinical . Needs more traders . Would be outstanding venue for almost anything
A great evening out in an ancient setting but a lovely venue for drinks and a meal.
An amazing refurbishment of what had become quite run down. Now a great place to meet.
Very interesting building. The free tour was helpful and informative.
Excellent restoration of an very individual building
A lovely place, the Christmas decorations were great as was the mulled wine
What a beautiful building, I hope they get more business there would be a shame for it to close.
Pleasant environment to wander around seeped in history with an interesting array of little shops and cafes. You could almost imagine you were somewhere decent rather than Halifax
Philip visited the piece hall on 6th December.
The staff have got the piece hall all set up for Christmas it looks brilliant.
Lots of lovely small shops and found a great ice-cream place. Not of a show going on in the central square which was fun.
Full marks for the renovation work, it's a lovely place to visit. We ate at the Elder restaurant which had a deliciously creative menu and a very warm welcome. The Square Chapel (accessible via the piece Hall square) is also worth checking out as it provides a great range of food and drink and a thoughtful range of entertainments.
What a fabulous place lots of lovely individual shops. I loved it l returned again
What an incredible find! In the sunshine we could have been sitting in an Italian piazza. Great little shops and art galleries. A fascinating piece of Yorkshire history
Not been for year's nice bars round the square shame some of the shops have closed one's that were open was a bit expensive staff, very polite and loved going in the Christmas shop went Saturday so not sure if they still have a market on a Sunday ?
Beautifully restored and unique Victorian Cloth Hall with open quadrangle to allow for events and concerts
A visit to Gentleman Jack's home followed by an afternoon here would make a great day out.
Beautiful historical space to relax, eat, drink, shop.
Great place to visit with fabulous architecture quality retail units
Always a pleasure to visit the Piece Hall. Every visit is a different experience.
Amazing place, check out Loafers record store. Great coffee and great music
The gem in the heart of Halifax, a beautiful place buit by Victoria s, clearly planning for a zombie apocalypse. Huge stone walls with huge wooden doors.
In all seriousness its a lovely building, full of shops, cafes, bars and a museum. You Coul d spend hours inside.
Lovely bar to sit inside and out ..lots of gins ..nice coffee ..lovely friendly staff
Interesting, shops are boutique, some great things . But quite expensive.
Worth a visit
Really interesting and individual shops. Beautifully refurbished building. Will definitely be back again.
Sympathetically restore recently with local Elland stone. The shops are starting to fill up now and it's becoming a really nice destination for artisan shops. It's reasonable accessible for wheelchairs, with most of the surfaces pretty flat, though some of the lifts are difficult to navigate.
great place, lovely and clean. Went to Open Cinema here and it was a lovely evening
It was ok but they could have made more effort at Christmas
After visiting the Piece Hall we wanted to come back and do a Christmas fair here. From traders point of view it was extremely well run. The thing that made it so much easier was all the staff from the security to the managers were friendly, approachable and professional. No power trips here! We will definitely be interested in booking in for more events in the future. The other things that surprised me was the effort that the organisers had gone to, to make sure we had everything we needed like a decent cover from the rain, power and plenty of time to get in and out for setup and teardown. Nothing was to much trouble. If I could have given 10 stars I would have done.
We popped in to the winter teepee that was there in November. Whilst it wasn't very packed as it was a Monday night, we got a spot next to the open fire pit which was very nice, the drinks & music were good and it was a nice stop off.
The Piece Hall itself is a gorgeous building and lit up and night it looked spectacular. Well worth a visit just to see the building, and we will definitely return here!
Great place to visit for a coffee or something stronger, but also full of quality shopping outlets.
Great building but a lot more could be done to make it more of an attraction.
A magnificent historic building with some interesting shops. Still lots of empty shops waiting to be occupied but a beautiful place to visit and stop for a coffee
A nice peaceful place for a wander but I'm sure it would be busier without covid-19.
They have done a great job. Can only get better as the shops and restraunts move in.
Sun and live music today .
We could have been in Barcelona or any of the tourist traps of Europe.
Looking forward to the concerts and events of the next few months.
Independent shops and cafes, great bookshop and games shop. Friendly atmosphere.
Fantactic am researching how much it costs to lease a business in pice Hall
Great place to visit if you enjoy shopping at small locally owned businesses. Beautiful architecture in a bustling area. Young kids enjoy playing up and down the steps on the ground floor and the ice cream shop conveniently located inside.
Nice building but could be so much better if there was more to do and see.
amazing day out lots of little shops and boutiques.
Great selection of quirky shops, restaurants and coffee shops.
We went to The Beautiful Day Out.
What an excellent venue and atmosphere. Brilliant all round.
Really nice especially during the xmas holiday. Still not a lot of shop inside, but still really enjoyable and the "elder" restaurant has excellent food.
First time visit under coronavirus restrictions - sensible one way system, friendly, helpful staff. Always great selection of shops and bars/restaurants. Dog friendly!
Not what it used to be, shame but at least they are moving forward
Piece is a fabulous place to visit, if you like quirky gift shops! There are art shops, galleries, and all sorts of clothes shop.
Sweetie shops and coffee bars/cafes.
We visited the trading rooms for coffee and cakes, delicious!
For a concert It's not great, only due to the fact that the bar prices are ridiculously expensive and security are awkward and don't know what they doing.
Interesting place. Lots of gift shops but quite expensive
