What a lovely place. Lunch was perfect the shops were all independent and not expensive.

Great renovation project. Nice shops bars and cafes.
Great place lots going on a bit pricey for me but everything looked fantastic
Spectacular building with lovely shops and bars - will be better when there are a few more but even more it's got to be a must-see destination. It's so beautiful, and despite being enormous is quite hidden away!
Looks very nice after a facelift. But needs more variety of venues, lots of empty shops.
Can be a bit sterile. Would make a great hotel location if they had made some of the rooms for that purpose.
A very unusual place. Lots of attractions, unique shops and great bars and eating places, this is a must see place, lots of history which has been preserved.
If you want a beautiful man made structure wrapped around you, as you buy books, drink coffee and eat fine cakes then you need to be here.
We were in Halifax, as Withnail was in Penrith, by accident but what a very different outcome.
We will be returning to try some more coffee and cake and with Withnail in mind maybe a Gin.
Wonderful place with a cultured and vibrant shopping scene. Be prepared to pay a lot though!
Lots of activities going on when we were there on Saturday.
I love the Piece Hall and the recent restoration has breathed new life into it, it is now a great space which will continue to be part of the wider rejuvenation of Halifax. Sad to see it empty and not as festive as normal, but that's the covid world we currently live in.
Nice drink in avalanche, visit to jitterbug jeans, great shop to visit
Lots of independent little shops could do with a few more
The new look does it some justice but pity it detracts from its history.
Disappointingly poor attention to external facade: sand pit in front lawn and posters stuck in windows
Not as good as use to be, no market anymore. And some of the shops aren't there anymore...
Lovely place in the sun. Nice quaint shops and a few cafes. Lovely water features, just a shame there is no grass to sit on.
Lovely place to visit with unusual shops and lots of history
Makes for a fantastic day out, especially when the weather is good. Varied selection of independent shops, cafes and eateries. A lovely, buggy friendly square for the kids to run around and there are often special events/activities/markets on.
Since the interior redesign, the whole place has really taken off. Great new shops, lots of independent, local shops. Vinyl, interior design, clothing, footwear, mystical, soap and a variety of places to eat and drink alongside art exhibits and regular events. Truly a great use of such an iconic venue, unique to Halifax. You really need to visit to appreciate it!
Lovely historic place to visit with many small shops and cafes. Recently revamped and smartened up and now looks very smart.
Ab stunning, just to sit there and admire the architecture,
Well worth a visit when you're in Halifax. Good selection of beers and craft gins.
Fantastic atmosphere with lots of shops selling different things
The new floor and older buildings do not match, they look silly together. The water features look quite nice. Not much to see or do usually except occasionally if you drink lots of alcohol. Needs the ice rink back.
Love going down to the piece hall 8ts got everything you need.
