The centerpiece of any visit to Halifax. Wide variety of shops to choose from, though most are "boutique" type stores, with prices to match. Great job preserving a building over 200 years old. Well worth a wander (just make sure you have disposable income available)

This is a fabulous & unique place in the UK. It has in interesting history & has something for everyone, individual shops & cafes & is so near the centre of Halifax with the Town Hall, Market & Minster all close by. A wonderful day out for all.

A shame at least half+of the units are empty. The bars and cafe seemed to be busy but it needs more businesses, it is so big it looked empty. Perhaps it will have more atmosphere in summer.

Such a lovely place, the gates of the Piece Hall are amazing! Lots of lovely shops including my favourite department store Harveys which has a unit in the Piece hall which is always worth a visit. This and lots of other unusual shops which you won't find on the high Street, this along with many events held in the middle of the Piece Hall is a great place to visit.

A little oasis of interest. Wonderful independent shops selling varied products from clothes to antiques to toys and art. Amazing place to walk round. Even in this covid era. Lovely gin bar partly outside with too many drinks available served by knowledgeable staff
The whole place is free to enter. Such a shame they can't hold their festivals at the moment. Now that is worth 6*.

Very interesting place to visit. Quite a diverse array of shops, and loads of places to eat and drink. It is also a very easy place to go round if you have any kind of mobility issues. There are also lifts to the upper floors. It also appeared to be very child friendly as well. All in all we had a great visit and will definitely go again.

It's a perfect place to kill a few hours. I had my son with me in the pram and it was easy to go from 1 level to the next doing a circuit around each level. It rained a bit but that wasn't a problem. And there's some great independent shops to peruse. The shops that serve food are diverse so you have a good choice

Great place to have a bite to eat, enjoy a drink in a relaxed place with lots of nice little shops and boutiques selling something different to the usual at good value prices too.
So much different to the Piece Hall I remember from 30 years ago when I was younger and liked visiting for the alternative shops and record shops.
Will definitely visit again next time I am in the area.

The complementing architecture brought by the middle area is not impressive at all. Not marrying colour, not marrying texture and beside a function of a market place, it is difficult to understand it! The only structures are the stream over stairs hidden inside the grey paved area in the slopes which do not bring enough effect as a water feature to me. Disappointing makeover!

We visited here in Oct 2017. We literally gasped as we entered the main gate. Stunning architecture and quite a chilled atmosphere. The shops and historical tours are great - teaches you about the rich industrial and trade history of the county. Parking is available in the nearby NCP or Eureka carpark.

Lovely to see this venue reopen. Offers a pleasing mix of specialist boutiques, sweet shops, eateries and outdoor entertainment. Great atmosphere and excellent location so close to Halifax train station and the town centre shops.
It has the Jitterbug Jean boutique for lovers of Irregular Choice shoes and fifties style glamour, a shop selling traditional sweets and chocolates, a designer jewelry shop with many unusual pieces, yet more clothing boutiques mostly geared to clothing women or children,a gallery and gift and trinket shops.

nice to see the council are keeping up to it rather than spend a load of OUR money then let it slide again and get taken over by people with low morals -like shibden park and other assets of the area -i was there on the day it opened again -its nice but not worth the money spent- there were a lot of councillors there with big smiles on their faces !!!!
