Fantastic place to visit great food great gin palace and wonderful shops
Loved the Piece Hall. Went to get chocolate from the Chocolate box. Lovely shop but customer service needs some improvement and a bit of Christmas cheer wouldn't have gone a miss!!
It's much better than it used to become, there's a large range of craft shops but a of things are well overpriced, for an ordinary Yorkshire town
I enjoyed visiting architects of air latest luminarium sculpture.
It is a very tourist place!
The shops are very pretty
Great place - unusual architecture, lots of small and unusual shops, places to eat and a very interesting industrial museum.
The work done is very good and nice to see people visiting again.
Fantastic on such a lovely day, covid-19 guidelines easy to follow! Great selection of shops and the gin bar was fab with lovely staff!
I always try and get to Piece Hall when I visit Halifax. I just love the quirky choice of things to see and buy.
From an architectural and historical point of view the Piece Hall is stunning and worth seeing. However I was a bit disappointed by its quietness and underuse. There seem to be a lot of empty units and not much passing trade and bustle. If the units were full of craft and specialist shops so that there was more to see and browse it would be brilliant. In fairness though I did visit on a cold dank afternoon in November.
Very disappointing, not many shops, though stunning. Shops there will not survive if they don't fill others. Which would be a shame as the renovations look awesome.
Good variety of shops, drinks & food in a unique setting with a variety of events throughout the year.
Beautiful, modern yet old & traditional all at the same time. some wonderful bars and restaurants
Christmas fayre. Excellent despite the dreary weather
Chow Down. Very good event but food and drink comes at a premium price
A visit to Halifax is not complete without a vist to the historic Piece Hall, some lovely independent shops, if you like gin... then it's a must, with a shop and a bar that sell every gin you could possibly desire. Piece Hall is fantastic place to visit especially at Christmas time.
Visited many times on this occasion was to meet friends for lunch
Brilliant place - I hope it gets more shops opening - wonderfully restored
Beautiful clean stores with a nice classic style structure, an excellent alternative to the impersonal shopping centers that haunt our cities
A wonderfully unique experience, reliving 18th century history through the perfectly restored old cloth hall. The building is packed full of artisan stores, which line the walkways, selling a range of high quality products. In the center is a lovely paved area with waterfalls and lights that come alive at night, perfect for relaxing or having lunch outside.
It's alright. Needs more bars and restaurants to open. Always busy
Amazing venue! A must visit for anyone visiting Halifax, Yorkshire or England!
Nice place great on a nice day son loves to take his shoes off n have a paddle in the water lots of variety, plenty of shops n lots of things on
Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions and the weather it was a little downbeat but still an historic place that I feel will grow in importance to the town as time goes by.
Absolutely gorgeous place, interesting history, fabulous range of artisan shops with more coming soon, events such as "chow down" a monthly market with street foods and markets, restaurants and a wonderful gin bar with hundreds of gins to choose from. I will definitely visit more often
Excellent Vist First Class. Disabled visitors would have no problems. Eating at the cafes in the Piece Hall are first class and excellent value. The guide we had was Liz and made the trip very interesting and encouraged visitors to get involved with any knowledge they have about the center.
Beautiful.
Great shops.
Perfect place to while away a few hours.
A hidden gem of the north. Recently refurbished while keeping to its 200+ year old roots. Large courtyard to relax in. There's also bars (Gin Lane is a particular highlight) and small independant shops located around the edges. Tourist info center located on site too.
Lots of shops and attractions. Always seems to have something going on.
A bit of work has been done since my last visit 7 years ago. Looks much better. More shops open also although many more empty units
Amazing place really proud it is part of town and heritage
Piece hall is one of visitors attraction and on the top list whether you are living in halifax or a visitor. The small local traditional shops with a variety are my favourites inside the hall along with amazing food, snacks and drink cafes. The various types of shows or events are happening all the time which added more joy to the weekend .
Great location... lovely shops, eateries and places to drink.
Beautiful restoration. Hope to see it utilised more and more. Originally from Halifax but was down visiting from Glasgow.
Halifax should really use this place to boost tourism in the town.
The people of Halifax should be proud of this place and get behind it and support it.
Wow! what an amazing place to visit. The quality of the shops isn't great but I imagine more will open soon. The actual building is incredible and a visit is worth just for that.
They are making a real effort with The Piece Hall, all it needs now are few more businesses to make it "buzz".
Think the re design of the square is very bland and lacking in character. More little independent shops than before and a good variety.
Wonderful to see how beautifully restored the piece hall now is
Lovely atmospheric venue for the Card Ninja show at Christmas.
Had a very enjoyable say here. Will certainly visit again.
Unique place, it looks nice and gives some european vibe away. It's also perfect for rainy day!
Loved it plenty of great shops and restaurants space to move around. Can't wait to go back.
Absolute gem in the heart of Halifax. Always something going on and if not, have a drink, relax and imagine you are in a Plaza in Spain
Needs a few more tenants to fill the empty premises, otherwise what's there great. Sat in Elder, lovely spot.
Brilliant place. Food, drink and lovely shops all in one place.
Brilliant venue. Visited the Antiques Road Show here. Well worth a visit. Lots of great shops and an amazing building.
Its a nice place to visit. Overpriced with some interesting boutiques to look in. The games shop on the top floor is excellent.
Lots of places still to open am sure it will be nice in the summer if they have entertainment on.
This place is amazing! An architectural gem. It has a wonderful atmosphere and sense of history. There is a beautiful exhibition of photos that chart the history so well.
Great place for family and food and drink plus entertainment
Coming one is summer.. one of the best place in Halifax to spend with family and kids. Nice view, beautiful area for kids to play..
A good place to sit with someone or alone as well and relax in piece.
A real slice of history and the ideal place for a Christmas market
Lots of nice little shops, be better if they filled all the units.
Really benefited from the building works,go in summer and grab a beer and it's like an Italian piazza.lots of events on and plenty of independant shops.if your in Halifax you should definitely go.
