Loads of independent retailers and small boutiques if yo want to buy something original and different. Well worth a visit and a browse, with nice little cafes, restaurants and watering holes for a well deserved rest in between.

Absolutely stunning location especially in the evening when it's all lit up and steeped in history. Thanks to Darren the Manager of Gin Lane who kindly gave up his time to give us a history lesson on The Piece Hall And Halifax

Lovely day out exploring the Piece Hall. The central square has been very cleverly designed to make the bottom 2 levels wheelchair accessible without it being really obvious, and there's a lift to get up to the top level. Good mix of artisan style shops and units that tell you about rhe place itself, and several eateries of varying prices and styles. Plus very reasonable parking in the Woolshops car park right next to the Piece Hall.

Renovation is amazing, only issue i have is with the available shops they are quite expensive and their target audience seems mostly to be towards women! A good mens clothes shop is needed in there, hopefully some xmas markets will make there way round in Winter

The place has s great feeling following refurbishment, had a pleasant drink sat in the sunny side of the sheltered courtyard.
The Yorkshire shop on the upper level raised a few laughs with some comical cards and Yorkshire gifts .

Loved seeing it and learning the history of Piece Hall with visiting relatives but will have to go again after festive season when more shops open and cafe not rammed and out of supplies! Big five stars for the helpful and friendly staff in the visitor's information block, they made it very enjoyable.

A lovely place to see and spend time in, especially since its major upgrade making it accessible to all abilities. A credit to Calderdale Council for a quality result without taking away the history of the building.

So dull no character left no green grass areas . The ground is so glarey when the sun is out . The stone work don't match the piece hall . Why was they allowed to knock through the piece hall from library on a listed building . And as become very expensive ....

We took our eldest granddaughter and she loved it but if you are disabled or cannot move around very well, like me, there are an awful lot of steps! However, if you go via the Woolshops or up past the street near the library, although it is cobbled.

Jitterbug Jean shop was the highlight of the shopping experience for me. Lovely shop and wonderful woman. Overall the actually piece hall was ok mainly food / few bars expensive and not so peaceful.

Looks so beautiful, and is a great place to go to do your Xmas shopping. There are many independent shop's all around The piece hall. There are also many of the big stores to if you want to buy from those stores and they are all very close to The piece hall. For the disabled there is a lift to get you to all the floors of The piece hall, so you don't miss out on seeing all of the independent shop's.
I am not one for going shopping, it's just not something I am keen on, but I really enjoyed shopping at The piece hall in Halifax. I will be going shopping there again very soon.
