Fantastic gem in Halifax. Shops, restaurants, ice-cream bars and always something going on like food fairs, theatre and music
Impressive building beautifully restored. The whole place has an atmosphere that encourages one to reflect on the past.
Culture and diversity developing this past two years. Love the bookstore, highlight shop among many other great choices
Great place to shop and browse plus many events to make it a place to visit
Loads of independent retailers and small boutiques if yo want to buy something original and different. Well worth a visit and a browse, with nice little cafes, restaurants and watering holes for a well deserved rest in between.
Super cool, unique place to visit, learn local history and shop in Halifax!
Some great individual shops, a couple of nice bars, Gin lane is well worth a visit toi
What a great place, filled with superior local vendors selling an array of local products.
A brilliant place to have a gin or 2 great atmosphere.
The place looks fantastic with the new work. Especially at night. Once all the units are taken it'll be a nice day out.
It's worth a visit for its idyllic peace space to saunter.
Absolutely stunning location especially in the evening when it's all lit up and steeped in history. Thanks to Darren the Manager of Gin Lane who kindly gave up his time to give us a history lesson on The Piece Hall And Halifax
Excellent restoration. Just needs to get a few more units filled!
Been going for 35 years love the place. I like wandering the upper tiers and looking in the shops. Always something going on.
Great renovation, very much improved. Great new shops moving in
Lovely day out exploring the Piece Hall. The central square has been very cleverly designed to make the bottom 2 levels wheelchair accessible without it being really obvious, and there's a lift to get up to the top level. Good mix of artisan style shops and units that tell you about rhe place itself, and several eateries of varying prices and styles. Plus very reasonable parking in the Woolshops car park right next to the Piece Hall.
Wonderful piece of historical architecture & the developers have done a brilliant job of bringing it back to life. Just need a few more people to start their business here.
A must do visit its full of fabulous little shops and full of historic facts about the wool trade ect gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous building
Renovation is amazing, only issue i have is with the available shops they are quite expensive and their target audience seems mostly to be towards women! A good mens clothes shop is needed in there, hopefully some xmas markets will make there way round in Winter
Nice part of our history to visit, shops and cafe bars
Lovely place, shame the management can't get themselves organised to have the place full of shops. Currently only 40% full of shops if that. Such a shame.
The place has s great feeling following refurbishment, had a pleasant drink sat in the sunny side of the sheltered courtyard.
The Yorkshire shop on the upper level raised a few laughs with some comical cards and Yorkshire gifts .
A great collection of quirky shops that our kids really love to visit.
Wonderful space. There was a family fun day with arcade games brought to life!
The architecture and shops here are wonderful.
Always something interesting to see here amd lots of lovely shops to browse.
Great place, but found the small shops very gift shop type.
Sorry won't be back.
Probably very good for music venue.
Great area. Listed building with 3 floors of artisan shops, including a year-round Christmas shop!
Stunning. The toilets were very clean. Quirky shops and bars. Well worth a visit
It's a bit sterile to be honest, still not full like it used to be, though the coffee shop to right serves a cracking flat white....
All that money spend 'doing the place up' - but still most of the units are empty, a shame its not full of little curio shops.
Very disappointed, no shops open, will be great once full, or even when a quarter full. One ice cream place, a coffee bar and a strange food cafe. Needs a normal cafe.
Loved seeing it and learning the history of Piece Hall with visiting relatives but will have to go again after festive season when more shops open and cafe not rammed and out of supplies! Big five stars for the helpful and friendly staff in the visitor's information block, they made it very enjoyable.
A proper Christmas market. Excellent stalls and absolutely no tat!
A lovely place to see and spend time in, especially since its major upgrade making it accessible to all abilities. A credit to Calderdale Council for a quality result without taking away the history of the building.
Just beautiful. Bars, shops, eateries. Clean, bright.
So dull no character left no green grass areas . The ground is so glarey when the sun is out . The stone work don't match the piece hall . Why was they allowed to knock through the piece hall from library on a listed building . And as become very expensive ....
It still retains the character of years gone by but mixes it with the contemporary design after the renovation. A tribute to Halifax past and present
God place to come see. Relaxed environment. Good to do photography.
Since its refurbishment it's a great place for a visit with lots of interesting shops
Not that many shops and quite a few empty units. Not much going one. It is a nice building however with interesting history.
Very nice architecture, shops, and coffee houses! (Pictured setting up for a food festival)
We took our eldest granddaughter and she loved it but if you are disabled or cannot move around very well, like me, there are an awful lot of steps! However, if you go via the Woolshops or up past the street near the library, although it is cobbled.
A jewel in the centre of Halifax! Very friendly staff and well worth a visit!
First visit since the redevelopment. Great public space with potential.
Such a beautiful place with lots of little shops and cafes scattered around. Highly recommend! A gem in Halifax
Calderdale are real trying to make this work, with themed weekends. Been to a few now....great job.
I enjoyed being in such a place. Gift shops, restaurants, and entertainment
Surprising entertaining on the opening weekend. My 3 year old loves the place
Jitterbug Jean shop was the highlight of the shopping experience for me. Lovely shop and wonderful woman. Overall the actually piece hall was ok mainly food / few bars expensive and not so peaceful.
Amazing transformation since my childhood 70 years ago. A must visit
Looks so beautiful, and is a great place to go to do your Xmas shopping. There are many independent shop's all around The piece hall. There are also many of the big stores to if you want to buy from those stores and they are all very close to The piece hall. For the disabled there is a lift to get you to all the floors of The piece hall, so you don't miss out on seeing all of the independent shop's.
I am not one for going shopping, it's just not something I am keen on, but I really enjoyed shopping at The piece hall in Halifax. I will be going shopping there again very soon.
Very interesting with lots of different shops and eateries for everyone. Highly recommend for a nice walk around or sit in the sun with a nice drink
