Didnt go inside as it was charged entry, but the place was beautiful
Beautiful. The Christmas Eve service was very fitting. Sad to see John Sentamu is leaving.
Loads of history you can pay and have a tour magnificent and magic can attend Sunday mass I been told
Can't come to York & not visit the Minster. Our third visit & still a pleasure.
great views from the roof & fascinating crypt as well. The organ was having a refurbishment this visit so some parts of the building were off limits.
Beautiful building full of history and because of covid very quiet.Because of the pandemic it's a good time to visit.
Impressive place, with magnificent arquitecture, really wanted to go in, but I got there late, didn't know on Sundays they close earlier, and I get that, but literally one of the ladies who charge at the entrance was super rude, I get I was late, but didn't have to be mean. I've never encounter anything like this, so dissaponting...
Pricey admission. I'm unable to afford admission. House of God only for those who can afford it. In a state of restoration.
Very Very expensive.
Yes I know they need to maintain the Minster, but for a family this works out at a lot of cash.
Peaceful beautiful possibly my favourite place in England ...
The guided tour is very good and shows how the minster has developed over time.
Stunning minster in a stunning city - cannot rate it highly enough. Liked it so much, I'll be married there later this year!
Love it here, it is quite expensive but worth it to do it at least once.
Fantastic day really accessible would go again, lots of guided tours available
Services held throughout the day
Nothing special as far as appearance goes. Does not compare with any of the beautiful churches we have seen in Europe.
Amazing piece of Architecture. Great details in the interiors.
Wonderful monument. Make sure you take a guided tour. Guides full of interesting facts.
Really beautiful part of our heritage and history ...fantastic details and the tower was awesome.....275 steps was tough ..but worth it
Beuatiful Minster (Cathedral). Well worth a visit. Climb the tower - 267 steps and 60 metres high.
I was surprised I hadn't been before but went the other day and loved it. I have visited many monsters throughout the years but this one stood out.
I only knew it on the outside. She is beautiful and when she says of our guide, she keeps a lot of history. A pity not. I can appreciate it inside.
Stunning the views from the tower are amazing and well worth the ticket price
I didn't like it because you had to pay to look at history
A very beautiful building with lots to see and admire. It's not cheap to go in as a tourist, but your ticket is valid for a whole year so it's good to find a reason to go back for nothing!
It's very old (7th century) and there's loads to see, from stained glass to the stonemasons to towers to beautiful ceilings.
From the outside it looks great but from the inside it's even better. Take a look.
Hardly seen it. Was put off by the 10 quid entrance fee. Looks a stunning building but too pricey for my liking.
Gorgeous place and b
Vibrant atmosphere
huge building, currently some sections are restored, the number of visitors was too large, so that a visit inside was not possible in time, beautiful park, a complete circumnavigation was possible, the town is not well prepared for so many tourists
Had a snack in the Minster gardens in the sunshine really enjoyable
Wonderful place enjoyed going to the top for excellent views.
Beautiful building. Worth the visit. Check times for free guided tour with informative enthusiastic guide.
An absolute MUST when visiting York!
Spectacular!!
Absolutely beautiful inside, if you go you need to climb to the roof top, the views are amazing in fact everything is amazing
What a wonderful trip. the History is amazing. lovely Town...
Nice gothic style cathedral and within walking distance of city centre.
A stunning building with a long history. I have enjoyed many visits over the years with wonderful music, interesting people and a definitive Anglican tradition of course. Do not go to York without taking a moment to call in and make yourself known.
Did a three hour round trip to see ' The Northern Lights ' which it stated was a 30 minute show when it was actually a ten minute show repeated twice. Absolute rubbish
Beautiful inside. You get given a map and there's a free guided tour too. The museum underneath is very interesting, I really felt like I learned something.
Well presented and cared for piece of York city history. A second visit is needed so "I'll be back" Highly recommended. Keith Rushton-Bond.
Certainly worth a visit, our guide had a good knowledge about the history of the Cathedral, but had difficulty with the size of the group.
Very beautiful and well worth a visit. Not just the building itself but also the surrounding area
York...steeped in history and a really beautiful city.
Historic building. Great views from top of tower. Glad to of done the 275 step challenge to the top.
Very beautiful and suggestive. It is worth going especially after a nice ride on the ramparts.
