Really good service from Kien at Yellow Jersey. I had my bike stolen and Kien was very efficient in communicating and keeping me updated. Regular emails and a thorough investigation meant that I was able to get the total amount for the cost of my bike and accessories back and all confirmed within a matter of days. Would definitely recommend. Thanks! X

I was recently involved in a Road Traffic Accident, and whilst I somehow got away with minor injuries, my bike was a write-off. As was some of my clothing and gear. Jonathan Ryan, Senior Claims Advisor, at Yellow Jersey has been incredibly helpful all through the process and with the insurance I have, has helped me to replace everything. It has been a smooth, efficient and friendly service. I would highly recommend using Yellow Jersey. I think I'd be at a much bigger loss and in a very difficult situation without insurance and without their help

Bike almost new - had bad crash and snapped steer stop and scraped paint on forks (Trek Madone Project One) and also chipped carbon. Only insured the bike 2 days earlier. Phoned Yellow Jersey and quickly put my mind at rest. The person on the other end of the line had first rate knowledge of what likely needs doing to sort my bike out and put me in contact with a fantastic bike repairer. Bike now back and in perfect condition. Yellow jersey are brilliant. Well worth the money. You don t know how good an insurance company is until you need to use them. They are brilliant. Highly recommend.

Another dissatisfied customer - I wanted to cancel my policy part way through the year as circumstances had changed but was told I could but I would have to continue to pay! Absolutely disgraceful customer service! Ive never had this in any other insurance policy. DO NOT USE YELLOW JERSEY!

My claim advisor was Jon - a personable, persistent guy who quickly contacted me after my incident and diligently resolved my claim and got me back on a set of wheels within a week. If you want an insurer who goes the extra mile and who you can relate to on a personal level jargon-free, then Yellow Jersey are the one for you.

Yellow Jersey's service has been excellent. I have their 'Performance' coverage and recommend them very highly.
I crashed my bike three weeks before Christmas and, after discussing my options for how best to proceed, the payout for a replacement was in my account on the 23rd.
The claims team (or at least the guys I dealt with) are clearly cyclists themselves and were more than happy to talk through the various options for how I might build a replacement and how to get the most for my money.
I ultimately went with a straight replacement (I was very happy with the bike I had before), but it was great to know that there were other options and Yellow Jersey were to prepared to walk me through the process no matter which direction I took.
All additional expenses have been refunded (including damage assessment and the cost of shipping the damaged bike to Yellow Jersey), and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Great customer service, brilliant options. I dropped my chain and got a crack in my bottom bracket on my carbon frame, they offered a fix or a replacement. Worked with them to either find the same frame (which we didn't manage) but then ended up purchasing an upgrade and paid a small diference myself. Fantastic, earned themselves a very loyal customer here.

Poor customer service. Direct Group they use to deal with claims also delivers one star service at most. Takes them two weeks to request relevant documents when you make a claim. A week and a half later, after reminding email and a phone call they ask for the same thing again. Finally, three attempts to get the settlement right and still miss the paperwork that they already have.
The apparent five working days to process the payment do not happen either. Another attempt to make contact only to be told that the payment will take few days to clear but can not tell how long exactly.
Nice sales people to talk to but horrible to deal with when it s time to make a claim.
I do not recommend and will not be using again!

The best insurer by far, the team at Yellow Jersey are quick to deal with claims, corteous and more importantly, human. No automated messages and a personal approach to the customer. I have had a bike stolen before and that was sorted very smoothly.

This time around, had a small claim and it was sorted, very positively, in a day. For bike insurance, I could not reccomend Yellow Jersey enough. In fact, should they expand into other insurance, I'd be there too!

My bike was stolen after a break-in and Yellow Jersey made a very stressful situation incredibly manageable. Kien was incredibly helpful throughout and after proving photos of the lock damage, proof or purchase of the bike and evidence of ownership, they were happy to either provide a replacement bike (they were willing to get a newer model of my bike) or settle the cost of the bike (the price at which they buy the replacement bike) in cash. Overall, the service was excellent and I would 100% recommend Yellow Jersey for peace of mind.

Tried phoning to ask question, no answer. Sent an e-mail using contact form and got no response for days now. Clearly they don't care if you are not a policy holder

Update: They have now responded, claiming that I was contacted after all. I am not deaf - I know what happened when I called. Nobody answered the phone after the initial recorded message. I sent a message using their contact form with no response until I added this review. Yes, I have checked my junk. I was checking my mailbox constantly because I was keen to get a response. I did not receive anything from them when I sent a message. As soon as I review them negatively, they contact me immediately. Admitting responsibility would go a lot further than accusing me of being an idiot. Feefo only allows your policyholders to review you, which allows you to manipulate their reviews after you have resolved their issues and they have got over it. Instead of asking me to remove this review politely and in private, they decide to send a response on here, denying everything. I will not be bullied into giving a fake review, I'm only giving my honest opinion. Otherwise, what's the point?

Took out insurance policy then received a letter 4 weeks later telling me my premium has been increased by nearly 50% with no explanation. However, this was then followed up within a day with a phone call from yellow jersey explaining the letter had been sent in error. Whilst the error was concerning they get a good review for excellent proactive customer service which is increasingly rare these days!

Truly awful. My kid's bike was stolen, after he had locked it up with a decent lock (an old lock that used to belong to me). Because I could not provide a receipt photographic proof of the lock or the bike locked where it was stolen, they refused my claim. Not entirely sure how I was supposed to provide a photo of this. They refused to accept my word, basically calling me a liar. Pretty shocking and depressing.

Unfortunately my bike was stolen over the weekend and they made it extremely easy and quick to make a claim and get compensated.
I would recommend Yellow Jersey to anyone who loves their bike and wants it looked after.

Can't praise the customer services highly enough.

Filled a Feefo feedback survey, and it was excellent on the whole, with one small gripe.

I thought that would be the end of it, but they got in touch the day after and sorted out the one gripe.... no fuss, no qwibble.

Was straightforward and speedy, have never dealt with another insurance provider before but can t imagine it could be much better than this! Paid full value of my bike and got me back riding ASAP! I was a little bit disconcerted at the amount of verification evidence Yellow Jersey requested when I told them my bike was stolen, but their subsequent service was superb. They responded within 24 hours, I was supported by the same claims handler throughout - the excellent Jonathan Ryan. He communicated with me by phone and by email. After asking for a few more details he immediately made contact with the bike manufacturer, Exodus, which initiated the process of ordering a replacement, and he facilitated a few changes to the new bike order.
I have had to make a number of insurance claims with other insurers and on the whole received a good service. But I have never encountered such excellent customer service before - prompt, efficient, friendly and flexible, far exceeding my expectations.

I got my bike insured and annoyingly had a vandalism issue a week later, Jonathan from the claims team helped me a ton throughout the process, handled all expenses and ordering necessary replacement parts for the bike. No payout for paraplegic!
My husband was insured through Yellow Jersey and became a permanent (no hope of improvement) paraplegic in the Etape du Dales in May - Yellow Jersey will not pay out on permanent total disability as he may work again! Get insurance that pays!! Luckily our normal holiday insurance paid out when YJ did not!!

Dealing with one person from start to finish was a real bonus for me and the 5 stars I have given, for the service I received, are all down to Kien. He provided a most excellent service.
Speed of service - it is less than two weeks since I started the process and if there have been any delays they have been my delays not the businesses.
Generally there was no quibbling over costs. However I was asked to produce receipts for everything, bicycle and all accessories, but who would keep a receipt for an Allen Key or a cycle repair kit, especially after 12 months or so! I will in the future though especially the more expensive items!

They company and the person who felt with my claim was so helpful and always kept in contact with me with updates and choices to help with my replacement. The representative I have been dealing with - JT - has been absolutely amazing. She helped me with every aspect of finding a new insurance broker, as the old broker does not offer the sort of bespoke product I need. She carried out her work professionally, patiently and diligently. If she ever wants a job as a bicycle mechanic, I would offer her one. I found it very difficult to find any insurance to cover my bike and travel when competing in the cycle race. Yellow Jersey provided a specialist product which was quick and easy to purchase and very competitive in price. I had to make a claim on my return from the trip and the process was made extremely easy with the help of Jonathan Ryan, a Senior Claims Advisor. Everything was dealt with over email with Jonathan directly and the settlement was made very quickly, quibble free, and with no forms to fill out. I will certainly use them again for the next cycle event.

I'm a newbie, start-up bike repair business. Local brokers were struggling to find anything suitable, their suggestions were expensive. I found Yellow Jersey Business by chance with Google Search. Stephen was helpful, made sure the policy matched my needs and answered all my questions. The final quote was almost half of what the other brokers were asking. Hopefully, I'll never need this insurance, if and when I do, I hope the service will be as good as the new business side.

I can t recommend Yellow Jersey enough. Honestly- I m telling anyone who ll listen!

Recently broke my bike and within 24 hours of starting a claim, I d been asked for further details to speed up the claiming process. I was asked for photos and proof of purchase. Once I supplied these, Jonathon (Senior Claims) quickly processed my claim and made sure that I was 100% involved in every aspect of it.

I truly cannot recommend Yellow Jersey anymore... Jonathon was diligent, professional and communicated clearly and efficiently.

If you re still reading this review- chances are you re in the market for finding people who can look after your bike.

I was very happy with the service provided by Yellow Jersey. This was the first time I'd had a bicycle stolen and they provided a swift service and my bicycle was ultimately replaced. They were friendly, helpful and my claim was processed within a week with the first response coming back in less than a day. If I could leave zero stars I would.

This company is an absolute joke and don't take take claims seriously and just fob people off based on assumptions despite a shed load of physical proof in my claim!

Really this is the worst insurance company I have ever ever dealt with by far. Absolutely being fobbed off to the max and their assumptions seem to override any real evidence/proof you provide to them in the event of a claim.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, for your sanity, money and mental health, DO NOT USE this company. They are an absolute joke and would never recommend ANYONE use this - even the healthiest person with no issues as they WILL find a way to fob your claim off and reject it.
